TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!

"Oh, I'm sure you've masked it splendidly!" Giving a chuckle, Tord flopped into his seat, immediately cursing under his breath for being King Idiot. Brushing it off and trying to act like that didn't happen, the gijinka began the trek of eating food. Yum. No poison, didn't taste too bad. It sure was food. "Not too far, no. Maybe, ah... that way, or something." He waved absently in a direction, not really thinking about where it was. If he gave it a moment of thought, he'd figure out if that was the right way or not, but truth be told he didn't care too much.[break][break]
Scritching Pick's head for a few moments, Tord went back to his... eating. There's no real poetic way to talk about someone eating food. Not without it being creepy in some manner. In his still mostly-sleep deprived state, eating took all of his concentration anyways, so there goes small talk. Did he even actually have small talk skills? Was this awkward? Damn.
"Descriptive, I could get there with my eyes closed." Tom snorted, before returning to eating. Pick didn't settle for just a head scritch, of course. He did his best to cosy right up against Tord, softly trilling to try get attention, making Tom wonder just why he even had Pick in the first place. He'd always been pretty lovey with Tord, not that he was jealous. Nah. Definitely not.
He left Tord to eat for a little while though, guessing the guy hadn't slept in a few days. "After you've eaten you should go to bed. I've got an inkling, that you haven't actually slept in the past week. If you're struggling, Pick can help you out, since he likes you so much."
The noise Pick made at him was probably the Swoobat equivalent of a middle finger, just. Verbal.
Tord hardly followed along with the Swoobat's insistence, letting them cuddle up to him without giving it a second thought. He perked a little when Tom spoke, putting his focus on his old friend with the best of his ability. Psh, sleep. Sleep was stupid, who needed it. Waving his hand carelessly, he made a disgruntled noise and shook his head. "I'd prefer to pass on that. Don't we still need to catch up?" Not much else to catch up on, but prolonging sleep was a far better option. "Or, uh..." Tord paused, looking down for a moment. He could bring up his injury, but not only did he not want Tom to feel guilty, he didn't want that attention right now. "Or, we could play a game? It's really not that late right now, I'd prefer spending some time with you before I -" disappear again.

Attack of the timeskip
"..That's fair yeah." Before Tord leaves him again. It was coming, Tom knew it was, he still wasn't quite ready for it. Whatever, at least he got to see him again, right? On better terms, kind of.
After eating, Tom found himself in the spare room with Tord, checking on the free roaming residents, making sure they were all healthy and fed. "So...what happened to your tail?" Tom's own tail twitched at the thought of him having lost it. He was lucky to have it, all things considered he shouldn't, but whatever. It helped him with his shitass balance.
Maybe that was a personal question, maybe it wasn't, time would tell.
A tinge of guilt buried itself in Tord's gut, scolding him for doing this. Any of this. It had been a fluke he'd even met Tom or the other two in the first place - and it was a fluke they met again. The fact that he was going to have to bail again kind of... hurt. He was going to regret it, just like last time, and... eugh. He shoved those thoughts aside, focusing instead on the prospect of making sure his own Pokemon were taken care of. Lairon was back in her ball, the other five wandering the spare room.[break][break]
He told them each good night and put them away - save for his Shinx, who seemed to beg to stay out and play with these small critters longer. She's probably terrorizing them. Tord gave her a pat on the head, let her do as she pleased, and slumped onto the bed. Nearly flinching at the inquiry, the gijinka gave a feigned laugh and a crooked smile. "How'd you notice it was gone? Been sneaking views, have you? Enjoying what you see?"

...Man he SHOULD have been looking at Tord's ass
With a laugh, Tom quirked a brow. "You caught me. I've been staring at your ass this whole time. Can you blame?" Jokes aside, though...he frowned, concern taking over. "Did something happen? If it was recent we can help it heal." Eugh he'd hate to lose his tail. He was dyspraxic enough he'd never stand again if he lost that!
Thoughts of all sorts of accidents and horrible events ht him like a freight train, even fears that Imum had done it to him at some point. He pushed away flashbacks of docking in Lyeant for the first time and having to run for his life, only seeing Edd for a split second on the other side of the dock before losing him - back to realiry with a shrill noise from Pick. "Also, that asshole will probably be sleeping in here tonight." He gestured at Pick. "He's missed you a lot."
He gave a snort, enjoying their banter for the brief time he had it, before going silent. Deciding he was going to avoid his topic at all costs, Tord latched onto the subject of Pick. "That's fine - I'm sure it'll be fun! I doubt they'll cause any issue, and I'm sure Shinx will behave." He was going to ignore the fact that she was chasing an innocent Rattata around the room. Tord called the Swoobat over, giving her some scruffs and bunts and all that good shit. [break][break]
Tord huffed after a moment. He'd feel like hell if he didn't tell Tom, wouldn't he. Tom'd keep pressing anyways. "No, though. It's... not recent enough to help." Shaking his head, the gijinka shrugged. "Thank you for your concern, I'm fine, though. It's better this way, anyways. Now - how did you get to Lyeant? I thought you'd stay with Edd and Matt."
Post by TOM RIDGIT on Apr 13, 2018 21:10:51 GMT -6
Sore topic, huh?
Oh fuck yes. Pick was loving the attention, turning a blind eye to how the poor rattata was being chased about. It's fine, if it was that bothered it'd run up the shelves surely. They simply settled in Tord's lap, trilling gently. Maybe they'd forgive Tord for the crime of setting them down when they wanted cuddles - maybe.
"Your shinx chasing Vernin around? I'm sure." Tom teased, before trying to think about what to say regarding Tord's tail. There was a lot of worrying language there, if he was honest. He'd address what he was asked first, be polite and all that. "I came here with Edd, Matt decided to stay. We...kinda got split up, though. As we docked Imum attacked, and with having had to come on separate boats..." He shook his head. "I'm sure I'll find him at some point." Best not to think about the possibility he died.
Back to his concerns. "What do you mean by it's better without your tail?" A lot of emotions struck Tom - anger, protectiveness, sadness. He wanted to destroy whoever it was hat made Tord feel the need to cut his tail off. Sure, Tord abandoned him. Sure, he'd been devastated. He couldn't look back at the past now, though, not that he had Tord right there with him.
It's fine, she's fine, clearly she's having a good time! Look at her go, that Rattata's fucked but, like, at least Shinx's having fun. Tord gave an innocent shrug, stimming with the soft puff of Pick's neck, petting it thoroughly. Giving a solumn nod, the gijinka frowned. "You must have been here a bit longer than I have if you saw Imum strikes. I'm... sorry about Edd - I hope he's alright." Tord lost the luxury of knowing how his friends were doing the second he ditched his phone.[break][break]
Petting a bit... rougher, Tord stammered a moment at the question, not sure how to reply. He gave a half-hearted chuckle, trying to play it off as normal - "I mean, I blend in a lot better now, don't I? I look normal, just... with a 'wacky' haircut." He didn't want this conversation, he didn't want to think about it. Thinking about it was just making him anxious, making the phantom pains return, making it feel like his tail was twitching - when it couldn't be. "It's fine, though, I promise. I lost it in - in an accident. Car crash, I mean, it was thin enough to get severed easily, right?" He hoped that lie passed. Arceus, he hoped it passed.

Liar liar stop that or you'll set my fucking house on fire-
Imum was still alive and well, as much as Tom hated to think about it. He wasn't sure if that was the original Imum or the radicals that had cropped up, either way they took his friend from him. "I hope he's alright too - but hey. You know Edd. He's tough." Pick's trilling became just a little bit surprised when the petting got rougher, it didn't hurt but it wasn't pleasant. However, instead of moving, he cuddled closer, trying to help calm Tord with small psychic pulses.
Tom wasn't an idiot. His brow furrowed, though not in anger. Concern, fear. "...Tord." Tom's voice was a lot quieter than usual, calmer. Inside voices were fake, he had two volumes, tiny and too loud. "What happened? Did - did someone make you do it? Make you feel like you needed to?" His teeth ached, as they tended to when he felt himself getting angry, not as Tord, no. At whoever potentially made him do this.
Pick meant well, Tord knew they did, but this wasn't something he wanted. He gave a disgruntled grunt at the attempts at calming him, immediately growing irritable over it. Taking the hint, at least, Tord stopped petting so rough, trying to be gentler. That didn't last... very long at all, the roughness returning at the inquiries - did they ever end? "No, no one made me do anything. It was an accident, it happened about a year or so ago, that is the end of it." He didn't want this conversation, he didn't want to be pressed, but it seemed like that's... all that'll happen until he opens up and tells what happened. Tom would just be stuck waiting and wondering and hurting for forever, until Tord opened his stupid mouth. "It - it shouldn't matter, should it? I blend in more, I don't stand out as much, it was for the better. Why do you want to know?"

Ease off
Pick got the message and stopped, instead stayed still and tried to help calm Tord with soft noises, and keeping still despite the rough petting. If it helped, it helped, and it didn't hurt. Tom was starting to get the feeling there was an awful lot more to this tail thing than he'd expected, and that the time to talk about it wasn't right now. "I...sorry. I worried someone had done it to you." He offered a smile.
They'd never have that conversation. Tord would leave, they'd probably never see each other again. He'd be left not knowing, like last time, but with even more concern. He'd hate Tord all over again and cry over stupid feelings that wouldn't leave him alone. "I wont press. Do you need anything before I go to bed?" It wasn't that late but he was exhausted, and no doubt Tord would need some rest. He could trust Pick to come at least alert him if it sounded like someone was doing a runner.
Tord was being a defensive dick, wasn't he. He stopped petting Pick, laying his hand still against their fur, brows furrowed. Being defensive wasn't going to help anything, he knew that. But what else could Tord be. It was either being defensive about what happened and all these questions, or try to enjoy some amount of time with his friend. Tord couldn't think on what to catch up about, nothing could have answers, and nothing he said could give answers lest he get in big, big trouble.[break][break]
Nodding slowly, the gijinka looked away, giving a fake, half-hearted smile. "Sorry. It's fine, though, really. No one... made me do anything. I assure you." Clenching his fist for a moment, Tord lowered his gaze to the floor, petting absently on Pick's head. "You - you're going to bed? It's not very late. Though, I suppose you need your rest for your shop." He felt his shoulder slump a little, laying his eyes on his Shinx, absently following her around. "No, I don't. I appreciate it, though... Good, goodnight." He couldn't tell if leaving for good was the right choice, but... it really seemed like the only one he could take.
Tom didn't want to go to bed, and by the sounds of things Tord didn't want him to either. Pick prodded at him with Psychic, not able to communicate but at least urge him to not be a stupid asshole. He thought for a moment, before 'checking' the time. "I actually thought it was later than this - want to o dick around and play games? I haven't got any overly new ones, but I've got fighting games and mario kart. If you pick rainbow road I will throw you again."
Of course, he was joking about that last part. He gesture for Tord to follow, heading to his room. Pick wiggled out of Tord's grasp, beeping at him to try and get him up and moving. They'd take Tord to Tom's room, first though they got hold of his hoodie and tugged, impatient to get him to stand. Sometimes self care is being dragged around by a bossy bat.
Tord could have made due with sleeping - he needed it and everyone knew it. But, he didn't need having to think about a decision until he finally passed out, if he'd get any sleep. Staying with your thoughts all night, alone... yeah, no. Pass. The option to skip on that lifted Tord's gaze, surprised and confused for a few moments, before softening just a little. Letting out a small snort, Tord yawned and nodded. "Deal, but I am absolutely choosing Rainbow Road, so watch out."[break][break]
Oh, right, you have to get up to do things. Pick had the right idea, trying to coax him up. Letting out a playful sigh, Tord pushed himself up, muttering about how he was working on it. Whistling his Shinx over, Tord picked her up, giving her a nice pet on the head before letting her slide over his shoulder and into the hood of his hoodie. Perfect. Grasping the Swoobat from the air, the gijinka tugged them over, wrapping his arms around them instead of letting them lead, and placing his chin on Pick's head. "Now you're trapped." He gave a sly, playful grin to the Swoobat, before following after Tom.[break][break]
