Bekrel spent a good few years with a partner that caused him serious harm - mental and physical. He accepted his fate due to circumstances not allowing escape, simply learning to walk on eggshells to avoid getting beaten round the face or backed into a corner and screamed at until he felt worthless. He got pretty good at it, too, until he screwed up bad. He sneaked out to see a friend outside of his curfew, and was caught coming back. After that, curfew was stricter. Cameras were set up. There would be no more sneaking out.

Unable to produce any kind of electrical charge like he should be able to, he was unable to properly defend himself, as he still suffered a strong weakness to ground type anything. The fact he can't generate or produce electricity is a sore spot, and the fastest way to hit him where it hurts.

A light in the dark

Hearing of his struggles, Bekrel was approached by an unusual group. He felt threatened at first, preparing to fight to the last breath, until he discovered they meant him no harm. Quite the opposite, they offered him an opportunity; he could help them change the world, and escape hell that was his home.

He didn't even hesitate. He wanted away from his partner, and he'd known for a long time that the world needed to be torn down, burned, and done over. Imum offered him both. He wears a half balaclava and a jacket bearing Imum's symbol when he chooses to conduct business and start havoc, to remind Lyeant and its people that Imum is alive and well - Neo-Imum is making sure of that.

He doesn't care about murder. It's par for the course, means to an end. Nobody will surrender their home so they must be torn from it and destroyed. They would have nowhere to live once everything was leveled anyway, he tells himself, they'd merely suffer more if they remained alive. That, and it feels good to let out all that anger and hatred he had to bottle up when he was still at home. He uses Imum's business as an outlet, while helping ensure innocents don't suffer.

However - he currently hasn't killed anyone, merely knocks them out or ensures they need to be rushed to hospital. He chalks it up to accident, and not having hit hard enough.

Pacify him

If you find yourself faced with Bekrel, chances are good that offering him mochi will calm him, and make him leave you be. Having not been able to afford it when he was younger, despite loving it so much, it was always a huge deal when he got some. Now he's older, it still hasn't completely clicked he can just go out and buy mochi, so should someone offer it to him, he may have a lapse in his sense of duty.
