TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!

Don't get in my face, Don't invade my space I'll put you in your place
He was right there. A man, tall and slender - dressed head to toe in black. He appeared like any other business man would - walking the streets after work, where he was heading - that was of nobody's business.
Except for Nikolai.
The assassin had been following this man for about an hour now, and to say he was getting annoyed was perhaps an understatement. Did the man somehow figure out he was being followed and was dragging him on a wild goose chase, hoping he'd give up? No, that couldn't have been the case, if it were, the man he'd been trailing would be walking in circles - he was moving with a purpose. He was going somewhere. Yet this game of cat and mouse was tiring him - to the point where if he could simply get this man alone, he'd dispose of him then and there, uncaring if they were in his home or not.
Yet somehow, a few minutes later - the man had managed to escape his sight, causing the assassing great distress. If one were to look closely enough, they would be able to see the irritation radiating from his being. He had been informed of some of the man's local haunts, incase if this were to happen, perhaps heading to one of those and waiting would prove productive.
Selecting a restaurant, deciding that eating something small was a good idea as he waited - Nikolai made himself comfortable at an outdoor table, his sword somewhat hidden under the table - just in case. Ordering a drink from the waiter as he made his rounds, Niko contented himself to browse over the menu. It wasn't anything fancy, which somewhat surprised him - perhaps not all business men were as frivolous with their money as everyone thought. Yet, despite the low costs, the food did sound pretty good.
Perhaps this wouldn't be a disappointing side excursion after all.
Cross me once and you'll see It's like a match and gasoline
Quinn was out doing a little shopping, but obvious when you shop hard it can wear a guy out. So, the young man had decided it was time for a bit of food. Can't find fashion on an empty stomach, now can you? He whistled a small tune to himself as he strolled down the streets with his bags, a Minior following Quinn. Beep was such a doll. During their stroll, the duo seemed to get plenty of looks. Or rather, Quinn was getting the looks. After all, his feminine charm just radiated off the walls, so it was no surprise he could turn a few heads from both men and women alike. Yet to some seeking a bit of extra, they sometimes got a bit of a surprise when learning that such a pretty "girl" wasn't so.
While scanning, Quinn took notice of an interesting figure. Oh? A gijinka, from the looks of it. This peaked the boy's interest and he felt compelled to approach, waltzing over and stepping so the man could witness him. "Excuse me, is this seat taken?" He asked with a sweet chime. Beep seemed to be annoyed, the Minior giving off a few noises and hovering a circle around Quinn, but was simply given a small pat to the head. Beep gave up at that point, simply hovering there nearby Quinn while the young man awaited on an answer. If he got a yes, he'd have a little fun. If not? Ah, he'd just leave, he guessed.
Still, this tall, purple hued man was an interesting sort and it made Quinn want to learn more, understand more. In a way, it also gave him a little bit of inspiration for his art, so he would need to lock that memory away in the cache for later that night when he got to working on new sketches and other various, random projects. That, and there also was the commissions he needed to get done, topping off his night rounds of a little role play on the internet.

Don't get in my face, Don't invade my space I'll put you in your place
People watching came with the job, and with that - he had come to realize that, over the years, he didn't really like people. They were disgusting, cruel beings with little to no regard for eachother - and that was no way for a species to live. Narrowing his eyes at a particularly disgusing display of a smaller group of people, he quickly found his attention grabbed elsewhere - more particularly, to the side of his own table. Where he had been expecting his waiter, instead he found a young... boy? At least, he thought it was a boy.
Raising an eyebrow, arms folding before his chest, Nikolai took his time to examine the boy before answering. The chest was certainly... flatter, the hair length however wasn't anything new - he had longer hair himself. Usually, people avoided him - whether it be the aura he gave off or the color of his skin, discolored by the Naganadel within. Either way, he supposed this child could offer him some form of entertainment while he waited for his Liepard, Naamah, to return with any possible clues or leads on his bounty.
Leaning back a little further in his chair, raising his chin with acknowledgement, he gave a subtle motion to the chair across from him - telling the boy, more or less, he was okay to sit. Of course, part of him screamed what the hell was he doing, the other part was excited that maybe, just maybe, he could mess with this kid. It had been awhile since he'd done anything of the sort.
"You've got an interesting idea of good meal guests," he began slowly, picking up his drink to take a sip - a delightful fruity flavor washing over his tongue, along with the familiar tingle of alcohol. "Are you always so trusting of strangers...?"
Cross me once and you'll see It's like a match and gasoline
Quinn was given the permission to sit, and so he did. He offered a small smile as well, part thankful and part simple friendliness. Carefully he seated himself down in a proper sort of manner, then looking up he shot a smile at the other man. "My name is Quinn, nice to meet you." He introduced himself, his cheeriness practically radiating from him. One could swear it would take visible form if they looked hard enough. Beep hovered close by to Quinn in the meantime and mostly kept an eye on the boy's bags.
"Well, I like interesting people." Quinn responded to the man's words, a soft laugh afterwards. He listened again as the man spoke up once more. "Mmm, I guess? Everyone deserves a chance or two." He explained his reasoning, but otherwise called over a waitress. When she arrived he ordered a soda and some kind of pastry platter. You can't live without some good baked goods in your life! When she left his attentions returned toward the man he sat down with, looking him over curiously for a moment.
"Sooooooo. Why would someone tall, dark and handsome be sitting alone here in the first place?" Quinn asked suddenly, a bit of a flirtatious tone to his voice this time around. He leaned over on the table, giving the man another look over with a bit of interest and a small smile. He seemed like a man with good build, for those who were into that sort of thing anyway.

Don't get in my face, Don't invade my space I'll put you in your place
To say he wasn't sure what to make of the man who now sat across from him was an understatement - he radiated a cheery aura that almost made Nikolai sick. With the introduction placed out there, however, it would have been rude of him not to return that favor - what did it matter, who knew if this kid would leave the encounter alive or not, "Nikolai." One word, stated simply with little interest - that's all it took.
Amusing, in the least - so he found this kid. Unfortunately for Quinn, his friendly demeanor had brought him to the wrong person, yet it was bound to happen sooner or later, he was sure. Especially with that chance or two mentality... how hadn't anyone scooped this kid up and killed them yet? Luck must really favor the idiotic... and yet it intrigued him. He'd entertain this, at least for a little - who knows, maybe he could somehow break this kid's demeanor while doing so, at least for the day.
As if the rest of this wasn't enough, the kid had to lay it on thick and start flirting. Earning himself a bit of an 'are you kidding me' look, one eyebrow raised, Nikolai crossed his arms, keeping eye contact as if it might make Quinn feel, somehow, uncomfortable. With a small shake of his head and an even smaller sigh, he allowed his eyes to wander to the crowd on the other side of the fenced in dining area, suddenly looking very disinterested, "I was following someone, and somehow - they managed to escape me." He began, eyes moving from person to person.
Yet, with each passing person, not one sign of his target, even now. "Something small to eat seemed like a suitable time passer as I waited." Giving up on the crowd, his gaze returned to Quinn with a smooth, lazy motion. He caught the boy looking him over - wondering if he was pondering his strange complexion, or, perhaps on a one off - something else, "And you, people don't just come up to me for no reason..."
Cross me once and you'll see It's like a match and gasoline
At the mention of a name Quinn offered the man a bigger smile than what he already had on, nodding. "Nice to meet you!" He said in that cheery, sugary tone of his. His eyes just sparkled with emotion as he interacted with this man he just met, Quinn clearly not the most socially adept. Unless you count knowing about trends, then you could perhaps say it was so. It wouldn't seem that being a trend-following type was exactly adept, so he was merely a fool walking around living a life. Did that stop the young man from enjoying himself? Of course not, he could find pleasure within life's smaller things if he so desired to.
"Oh? Following somebody? So, sort of like a game! Uhhhh, hide and seek, right? I think..." He commented when he was told about what Nikolai was doing within the area. At one point the waitress brought the food and had to shuffle things around slightly to set everything down onto the smaller sized table, Quinn being quick to shuffle his food closer to him and giving a small look of awe at it. My goodness you wouldn't think somebody could get so excitable about a platter of pastries, but Quinn? Oh, he was having a field day with this platter sitting before him.
At what Nikolai said next, the words were given an eager nod in response. "Nothing like a bit of food to keep you going and pass some time. Who knows, maybe the person will get bored and stop hiding!" He pointed out in an optimistic manner as if that was some way to win the "game" happening at the time. He reached over and took his drink, chugging it down real quick. Although, that wasn't his drink. It became quite clear when Quinn's expression suddenly changed into this confused look, slowly evolving into a more strange one. A small hiccup made it quite obvious right then and there that the drinks had been switched and the poor young man was now drunk.

Don't get in my face, Don't invade my space I'll put you in your place
Whereas Quinn was pleased to meet his acquaintance, Nikolai couldn't exactly say the same. Sure, he wasn't enthused, but he also wasn't entirely disappointed. This being held an air of innocence, and it was woven so tightly through their personality that it was make it or break it with this kid. In their current case, break it was the option that Niko had selected. And that... that would be all too easy.
Especially when, over any other option, Quinn had compared his mission to take the life of a human to that of a child's game - Hide and Seek.
"I would say... more seeking, and less hiding. You can't play a game when one of the participating parties is... unaware." He almost purred, planting small seeds to his true intentions with each word he spoke - yet part of him doubted that Quinn would understand this early on in the game. Hell, part of him doubed that Quinn would get it unless he stated so blunty why he was really here.
Yet, he remained quiet as Quinn blabbered on about food and how it served as a suitable way to pass time - yet with the kid here, he doubted he'd be able to find his target any time soon. That was something he could, as he heard it - kiss it goodbye. Even more so as he watched his drink picked up and slammed down within moments, his expression displaying his displeasure at the motion. He had no idea of Quinn's age, yet with the sudden reaction - he could easily guess him to be underage, green when it came to drinking.
This kid couldn't hold his alcohol.
And Nikolai wasn't here to babysit.
With a sigh, the man settled in a little more, ordering a second drink he'd keep well out of the reaches of his current company. "Not very observant, are we?" Niko began, raising a single eyebrow, "I get the feeling you're going to come to regret drinking that."
Cross me once and you'll see It's like a match and gasoline
Quinn ended up lost to the following words for a while, his now drunken brain beginning to process what it could at the time. Which was far and few in between in terms of words or phrases. Instead, he just blinked and stared blankly at Nikolai for a long, drawn out moment before another hiccup broke that focus. Although at the word "regret", Quinn finally processed that and then spoke up. "There. Lot of shings that I reget." He mentioned almost as if he had no emotion at the time. Although his face suddenly went soft and eyes beginning to waver, that's when the water works began.
Out of the blue, the young man began sobbing, causing some heads to turn and some people even giving Nikolai a few nasty looks as if he was the one at fault here. "I should have bought zhat cute set of shooooooockssss!!" Came a wail as Quinn's face slammed face down into his folded arms on the table and he just babbled on about various fashion statements and new trendy media knowledge. From time tot ime, one or two words within a sentence ended up a bit off, but it was still reasonably easy to comprehend what he was attempting to get across, at least.
Suddenly he shot straight up and grabbed Beep, pulling the Minior close to his face. Examining him he then let the little comet go and began bawling yet again. "BEEP NEEDS A TINY HAAAAAT." This was probably going to be a long, exhausting and especially trying time for anyone around. With a drunk young man bawling his eyes out about the most trivial, almost meaningless or pointless things, it was quite a show.

Don't get in my face, Don't invade my space I'll put you in your place
People say that some vehicles are capable of going zero to sixty within seconds - and that was perhaps the best way to describe just how quickly Nikolai's ideas went from tormenting the kid to taking his life and leaving then and there. It didn't matter to him how many saw, it didn't matter how many screamed and ran from him - if his head would be spared the ache this kid's drunken babbling brought, it would be worth it. The looks of terror would be a much better alternative than the distasteful glances he was receiving in the now. Not that he cared.
The one thing that did hold him back, however - was the risk of ruining the current hit.
Who would want to return to a place where someone was murdered? It would be slim to none, and he wasn't sure which irritated him more in that moment. With a heavy sigh through his nose, teeth grit with irritation and eyes closing, holding back the urge to actually give Quinn something to cry about, Niko found himself nearly growling, "Listen kid, If you get piss ass drunk off of one drink, there's something pretty wrong there. But you have got to control your water works, lest you attract the wrong kind of attention.."
Ironic, wasn't it? Someone like Nikolai speaking of finding the wrong attention - Quinn had already gained the attention of the worst person around... and being drunk definitely was not in his favor, "And I really don't want to have to take anyone out over your sob fest." Killing was his game, killing for the sake of babysitting... not so much.
Cross me once and you'll see It's like a match and gasoline
After a while of crying his eyes out, Quinn looks up when addressed by the man, although real soon it becomes clear that the young man isn't listening. "Why can't I jush find somebody special already? Everyone else ish out there going on dates, hafing kids and here I am, just shtupid, lonely me trying to keep up with today's trends!" Aaaaand, back to the sobbing as he again flops his face into his folded arms while the tears flow out and a few hiccups come in between the sniffles and sobbing. This was a total mess and the poor, unfortunate souls who had to deal with Quinn were no better off than the drunk young man.
Quinn didn't exactly do much else beyond his little sob festival, so it would be a pretty good time for Nikolai to hustle. Well, it would have been. Quinn soon would end up reaching out in an attempt to grab at the other man's clothing with a sniffle and a mushy face. "Ice creaaaaaammm!" He squeaked out randomly as if that was at all going to make anything different. The young man was an absolute mess at this rate and there was no turning back, not until the alcohol wore off, that is.
Beep ended up giving Nikolai an apologetic look, finally stepping in and trying to coax Quinn to let go of the other man. Especially seeing as the little Minior could feel some kind of odd vibe coming, and it didn't like that at all. Yet despite this, the lone Minior was little use and thus was forced to call upon a friend. Beep quickly found Quinn's Pokeballs and picked the one with one of the more useful Pokemon within. A flash and soon an Alolan Ninetales was standing there, looking around curiously yet with a cool calmness. Beep catching her attention and explaining what was going on, which prompted Aurora to flick and ear, but move over and attempt to catch Quinn's attention with a nudge.
