Don't get in my face, Don't invade my space
I'll put you in your place
I'll put you in your place
Only a few days before had Nikolai recieved an interesting proposition. It came to him in the form of an oddly colored letter, the request scrawled in the most intricate of penmanships. The words spoke of promise of handsome pay for the death of a very specific being, mixed with warnings that they were a dangerous being - yet it didn't deter him any. Danger was of no matter, instead, he saw it as a challenge - most of his kills were much too easy.
Especially with the legendary being who inhabited his body.
Between the hours of him recieving the request and now, he took the information given to him and collected his own - silently following the female once he found her. He had been given a general area, a list of addresses that she may reside at - it wasn't hard to solidfy information and figure things out for himself. The sun had gone down long ago, the moon high in the sky - a usual witness to the blood that often colored the metal of his sword. The temperature had dropped significantly, drawing more people within the confines of their homes, wishing to escape the chill that clung to the air.
It didn't bother him.
Between the colors of his clothing, the darkness of the night and the foliage of the tree, which branches held him high above the streets - he would have been difficult to spot. Yet his eyes focused on the home of the target he'd been given - focusing on the windows. His eyesight, hightened by the Ultra Beast within, easily caught any form of motion behind the glass panes. If he could, he'd make this as easy as possible for the both of them - dispatching her within her sleep. Part of him doubted that this mission would end up being that simple, and part of him hoped it wouldn't be as such.
Very rarely was he presented with a challenge, and Arceus did he yearn for it. Light after light began to shut off around him - signaling the surrounding areas succumbing to the need for sleep. Hopefully, soon enough, his target would follow. Soon enough, he'd make his way across the rooftop tha seperated him from the windows of her home, which would serve as his entrance. Soon enough, his blade would meet her flesh and sing with pleasure as it would shine with her blood.
No, not nearly soon enough.
