TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!
tbe: take two! is inspired by, but not associated with nintendo's pokemon franchise. the current skin was created by pharaoh leap using font icons primarily from ion icons and fonts from google fonts. banner art by vav of pixiv. characters, with the exception of canons from the manga, belong to the members who write them, and all posts and templates on site are credited to their respective authors and artists. we claim nothing that is not ours.

[attr="class","coldasicenbox"]@sasha[break][break][break]He isn't weird, Kiara. Just unique.
[attr="class","coldasicepost"][attr="class","coldscroll"] She laughed sheepishly, one hand reaching up to rub the back of her head as she waved the other through the air a bit. "Ahaha... yeah, relatively speaking. If it hadn't been for that last minute Protect," her voice was soft, lilting and with just the slightest hint of a more powerful overtone, one that came about as courtesy to Latias. There were few things about Kiara's appearance that betrayed her true identity, the first being the overtones in her voice- powerful yet calm, contemplative in a way they shouldn't be- the second being her eyes. She had learned early on that her eyes had a tendency to remind people of things, and since Latias arrived a long look into her eyes had a tendency to tip people off to the fact she wasn't in any way what she initially seemed. Regardless, Kiara brushed herself off, her red Pokemon Ranger uniform remaining thankfully unscathed as she made her way over to the florist. She couldn't help but admit the handiwork. They weren't quite as spectacular as the Gracidea fields in Sinnoh, nor the quite contemplativeness of Firefly Springs, but the arrangements had a tendency to invoke such feelings regardless.[break][break]
She looked over at the male for a moment, head cocking slightly to one side before she spoke. "Y'know, I honestly expected you to be shocked at the very least. You're taking this development surprisingly well," her kind blue eyes bored into him, observing every facet of his being. At the same time, her mind was already going the speed of light, breaking down and attempting to find any plausible reason for him to be reacting so relatively nonchalantly. Perhaps this isn't the first time he'd dealt with this? Even still, she suspected he'd have been somewhat shocked from the initial crash, possibly staring at her with a degree of suspicion, but nonetheless he was just kind of there, tending to his flowers as she spoke. She could sense Latias musing along with her.[break][break]
Such a strange individual this one was.

[attr="class","coldasicenbox"]@sasha [break][break][break]Wait, Kiara what do you mean by "this one"??
[attr="class","coldasicepost"][attr="class","coldscroll"] The last thing Kiara really remembered was feeling the wind whip her out of her position in the sky. It had been a rather slow day of ground patrol, and so the Top Ranger had opted to take to an aerial view to see if she could get a better view of her surroundings. Of course, she hadn't flown in a while- wait. No, she hadn't flown ever, what was she saying? She must have been confusing her own memories for those belonging to Latias, and as though on cue the Eon Pokemon made its presence known within Kiara's head.[break][break]
There's still so much pain... the words were soft. Kiara nodded, if Latias felt it, then Kiara was feeling it. Pain still permeated the land, and as a Ranger such calm days like these had become few and far between. It seemed as though all of the wild Pokemon in Lyeant had been in an uproar since the war only two years ago. Unfortunately, this lapse in focus allowed Kiara to be swept up by a sudden gust of wind, causing her to lose control completely and go plummeting to the ground.[break][break]
Thankfully enough, the concrete was especially soft in this area. She landed with a crash, a psychic barrier shimmering and shattering as she hit the ground. There was a slight dent in the ground, and she stood slowly before looking around. Phew, nobody there to witness... well. Save for the florist across the street. She blinked at the person, male by the look of it, before staring at him and hopping out of her small hole. She really... really hoped he wasn't going to run. She didn't really want to have to fly to catch this one.
[attr="class","coldasicelyric"]we could be legends
To speak of one is to speak of the other, their ideals and personalities intertwined so heavily that one is inseparable from the other, rendering the once-human Kiara Mirai Chross now the physical host of the legendary Pokemon known as Latias. [break][break]
A kind soul, one who genuinely cares for the Pokemon and people of the world, and wishes nothing but the best for everything around them, Kiara is always the one to step first up to advocate for the rights of Pokemon, a trait which lead to become a Pokemon Ranger early in her lifetime, and while the safety and health of the Pokemon in Lyeant are always her first priority, Kiara also cares deeply about the people within the region as well, always willing to go out of her way to aid trainers and common individuals alike. The wandering spirit within her only enhancing her ability and drive to do this by granting her a wide range of the powers that she once possessed.[break][break]
That being said, Kiara has a tendency to be rather quiet as well. Before there was Latias, Kiara Chross spent much of her time within her imagination and the world of books as a whole, finding an escape from the hectic life she lived within them and often forging various worlds and characters of her own. While this did indeed lend her to having a vocabulary well beyond her age and physical appearance, it also allowed her to view things from many different perspectives and backgrounds, and when Latias came about it was from this that stemmed her overwhelming sense of empathy: the ability to feel another's emotions. While the degree to which her empathy holds its strength currently is unknown, it stands to reason that she has little control over it, and can feel another's emotions as her own with very little effort as a result- though in the years following her merging with the Eon Pokemon she has slowly gained more cognition over which emotions are her own and which ones come from around her. As one would expect, however, this makes her incredibly averse to conflict, and when the Imum War swept through Lyeant it was her who felt pain the greatest. The War leaves a scar upon her memory and mental state, triggering an almost uncharacteristic apathy within her that not only turns off her ability to feel another's emotion, but her own as well. When provoked in this state, the once calm girl could easily become an instrument of destruction, though none yet have managed to manipulate her in this way.[break][break]
The introduction of Latias' soul to her mind is something that instilled new values in Kiara as a whole, most notably a wanderlust with no end, causing her to endlessly wander Lyeant in the months leading to- and these several years following the Imum War. A wandering caretaker of Pokemon, she's regarded by many in Lyeant as a sort of saint among the people. A soul always willing to lend a hand as she continues her endless journey, moving wherever her soul and wandering may take her, though nowadays she prefers the slow, human movement of walking everywhere as opposed to her own flight, a development which both leaves her troubled and simultaneously overjoyed. As consequence, she has noticed steadily that there is much you see down on the ground that you don't in the air, and vice versa.[break][break]
Also with the introduction of Latias came the release of Kiara's own latent Psychic abilities. As a native of Mossdeep City- home to Hoenn's Psychic-type Gym Leader- it came as little surprise when Kiara began to show the signs of possessing latent psychic power during her childhood, but it wasn't until Latias came about that these abilities showed themselves in full, manifesting as a reflexive, uncontrollable ability of telepathy- allowing Kiara to not only speak through it, but also read the surface thoughts of one's mind. While these in themselves don't seem as much of a weight on her personality, she has found that she acts more easily and surely when she knows what an individual thinks of her, and can outwardly seem rather offended if she finds someone expressing mental distaste towards her form without properly understanding who she is- something she's more than happy to inform them.[break][break]
While quiet, contemplative and caring by all accounts, that isn't to say Kiara doesn't have a bit of a mouth. To elaborate, when provoked she has shown to be very talkative, and has displayed a vocabulary quite unlike what her normal personality would suggest. That is to say: She swears like a sailor. It's commonly a rather startling development when it first happens, but those that stick around her long enough begin to notice the signs leading up to it, and many of those closer to her have historically ended up nicknaming this side of her personality "Pirate Kiara," on account of the unruly attitude that develops as a result of it.[break][break]
I'll sing it for the words I want to reach you[break] I'll sing it for the day it finally meets you
[attr="class","taketwoapplicationtab2bot"]
[attr="class","taketwoapplicationtab2bot2"]
There's quite a bit that goes into an individual, especially one which such an extensive, intertwining background such as Kiara's. And so, that being said, it seems most apt to recount the life the host rather than the two souls that inhabit it.[break][break]
Born as Kiara Mirai Chross, Nineteen years ago on March 14th, to parents Adam and Susanne Chross of Mossdeep City. Her father was a sailor, a ferryman of sorts, though he also enjoyed himself a fair spot of fishing and was quite the adoring father. Her mother, a nurse-in-training at the Pokemon Center and a novice Pokemon Breeder.[break][break]
From a young age Kiara displayed a love of Pokemon that ran far deeper than her peers. Where she appeared, Pokemon that had been riled to near the point of rage calmed slightly, and when she grew close Pokemon had a tendency to flock over to her. A kindred soul, and her most common friends growing up were the Psychic-type Pokemon of the town, and the girl even watched quite a number of the gym battles that took place, the family one that had been rather close with the Gym Leader of Mossdeep since arriving within the town. And so her life went on, alternating between days at sea, days spent in the Gym, and days spent playing with her Pokemon friends on the shoreline and in the grassier areas of the island.[break][break]
When she turned ten, Kiara was adamant about becoming a Pokemon Trainer, having seen many come and go and developing a love not only for witnessing a battle, but the act of raising a Pokemon herself, and while her first year was slow, she soon realized that she didn't want to just wander around on some League journey with a select group of Pokemon. She wanted to help and aid all that she could, which led to her attracting the gaze of the Pokemon Rangers that happened to be visiting in the area. After a brief stint learning, Kiara attained the title of Student Ranger, and her Meowstic Tenchi became her Partner Pokemon. Fast forward two years, and Kiara is now an Area Ranger, one of the highest-regarded among her peers. At this time in her life, she's looking over Kanto, watching as day to day life comes and goes, and the initial whispers of Lyeant and with them Team Imum begin coming to her ears. Content to let the situation pass until duty called, Kiara ignored the initial spread of rumors.[break][break]
However, when she was fourteen, and by then slated for selection as a Top Ranger, she could no longer afford to ignore the rumors coming out of Lyeant. Announcing to take the area under her own care, she resided in the budding region for a short time before experiencing the most unusual day of her life.[break][break]
The day she became Latias.[break][break]
It had started like every other day in Lyeant. Wake up, get ready for the day, don the uniform and rouse Tenchi from his nap on the porch. But as she left to go about her daily patrol, something seemed off. As she passed by people, it seemed as though there was an unnatural pressure weighing down upon her, as though the world was bending and twisting slightly, the fabric of her reality shifting and adjusting to some unknown force. Only fifteen minutes later had she moved to rest against a rock, propping herself up on it as the world swam with color.[break][break]
And then, a voice.[break][break]
Having not heard the legendary before, it took Kiara by surprise, and in her asking who it was, she came to the realization that her morning had started very differently than most.[break][break]
Because it was then she realized she'd been hovering an inch over the ground when she moved around her house that morning. The result was comically spectacular, and after a fair amount of getting-to-know you, Kiara gradually began to adjust to the presence of Latias within her as well, growing slightly more used to her newfound psychic strength as well as the slight traits that had come with her shift into being a Gijinka.[break][break]
Of course, as Team Imum began to draw more members and their influence began to swell, Kiara made a check-in to the Ranger Union, warning of the increasing sense of hostility within the rallies. The empathy she felt from Latias had begun to take effect by that point, allowing her an almost unwelcome insight to the hearts of the Imum members she came across. Of course, the Union was skeptical at first that she had quite literally become soulmates with a legendary Pokemon, and so she was called out of Lyeant for a week in order to clear up the matter and decide what to do from there.[break][break]
When she returned to Lyeant, she was an Area Ranger no longer.[break][break]
Top Ranger Kiara Chross was her full rank and file, and with a newfound burst of pride and joy she set about protecting Lyeant with a fervor, taking what missions she could and preferring the ones that allowed her to remain as close to Lyeant as possible, as she'd found a home within the region that far surpassed any others that she'd come across before.[break][break]
She made her home in the wonders of the place known as Firefly Springs, a small dwelling constructed with the help of the woodland Pokemon, it was and currently still is her home. She spent the days, months and weeks leading up to her seventeenth year in that cabin, using it as her base of operations and leaving only to give her reports to Erma. When news of Imum coming under new leadership reached her, she immediately expressed concern in the shift of emotions she sensed from Imum's members and supporters.[break][break]
Unfortunately, none could've predicted what happened next. Her home, her Lyeant, torn asunder by the misdeeds of Team Imum. Kiara worked frantically to save all she could, even recruiting the aid of several other Rangers in order to ease her load, but as Pokemon and People were displaced, and nature cried under the weight of its tormentors, Kiara herself began to crumble. The lines separating herself from Latias began to blur, and there came a day when she simply couldn't take it anymore. And she snapped.[break][break]
She herself has never been told the full story of that night, Tenchi too concerned to tell her, but in many accounts that was the day that Kiara Chross and Latias ceased to be two seperate entities. The legendary's agony over seeing the land and all within it be torn apart resonated within the both of them, and Kiara simply... ceased functioning. Her empathy, and all emotion, drained away. She became distant, cold, and then turned the wrath of nature onto any of Imum's members who dared to step anywhere near her beloved Springs. When dawn broke, she remembered none of it, the only traces of her break the burning embers of the Imum camp, and littered bodies strewn about, mutilated and slain with psychic power of an intensity none of them had expected.[break][break]
In the two years that have followed, Kiara has grown used to the feeling of no longer being separate in any way from Latias, even identifying as the Eon Pokemon under most if not all situations. While she doesn't dare shirk her duties as a Top Ranger- and recent times have left her with no shortage of missions- she has found herself aligning ever more heavily with the Republic. Blame it on her emotional attachment as Latias or her drive as a Pokemon Ranger, but the noble goal of the Republic of Lyeant has resonated strongly within her, and she serves them tirelessly to keep Pokemon and nature as safe as she possibly can- a tireless advocate for all that Pokemon can do, and all that mankind can do to aid them.[break][break]
For she has experienced thousands of lifetimes since the Imum War, seen hundreds of memories now belonging to the only her that now exists within her body, and any that should dare threaten the sanctity of Lyeant's Pokemon and their homes should expect nothing more than the wrath of a legend to come down upon their heads.[break][break]

Meowstic #678
Tenchi is a female pokemon. its ability is Keen Eye. it seems to have a Relaxed nature.
[break][break]
Kiara's first Pokemon as well as her Partner Pokemon, Tenchi has been with Kiara through thick and thin. It has a bit of a tomboyish attitude, and the tone of voice when it communicates has a tendency to sound a bit snarky, but Tenchi generally means well, and cares deeply for Kiara. It still sees her as its Trainer, even if Kiara doesn't see things the same way.
there is nothing left to take, but i still try to reach. try to swallow it all down, yet i can't seem to breathe. just a single pill of mine, nothing else would suffice - i take it in, now i'm alive. my phone is set on lock, and i don't really care. there's a tangle and a knot that i cannot repair. i'm a tragedy, i'm ugly, i'm trying to hide. i say "hello", then wave "goodbye". see me fall down - let me die here slowly. nothing goes right, not a trace of honestly. i'm to blame, so i'll remain. black, white; day, night; it's all the same. see it run down - cut away, no worries. say no more. i can surely say that i've had enough. i still refuse to believe.

PLOT IDEA #1 every day would be the same. nothing more, little change. if i cared, it would mean nothing: it's all such a pain. friendly bonds are so unneeded, i don't give a dang. a busy life is what i am. could it be that family was a way of escape? didn't know if it was right, so i threw them away. couldn't take it anymore, i had taken enough, so then i hide my need for love.[break][break]
PLOT IDEA #2 lay me right down, let me sleep, i'm restless. cover my eyes. when i'm up, i'll finally fade away, here, today. give me a reason: then i'll stay. if i could fly, if for only a moment, there wouldn't be such a need for casualty. i'm alone, and that is how it'll be.
