TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!
tbe: take two! is inspired by, but not associated with nintendo's pokemon franchise. the current skin was created by pharaoh leap using font icons primarily from ion icons and fonts from google fonts. banner art by vav of pixiv. characters, with the exception of canons from the manga, belong to the members who write them, and all posts and templates on site are credited to their respective authors and artists. we claim nothing that is not ours.
Tom growled quietly as Tord stood back up again, Pick screeching between the two of them, though Tom ignored him, and did his very best to resist Pick's psychic calming.
"I'm surprised you remember my name." His voice was low, laced with anger, pure rage built up over years finally coming out. Tom pushed Pick away gently, who snapped at his hand and flew closer to Tord, frantically beeping at him. Tom was too far gone to listen to much reason, he was fixated on the man that had abandoned him and their friends all those years back. "I'm surprised I mattered enough for that."
He kicked the discarded bags of food aside as he approached, though made no attempt to attack, or release any pokemon to do so. That would be loud, and he didn't want his store destroyed. He stopped a couple of feet in front of the other, narrowing his eyes, waiting for a reaction.
It was a quiet day, not many customers, not many that needed a chat anyway. He didn't see many new faces now he was an established business, and while he was glad to get a lot of regulars he did miss being able to talk about pokemon care. He was almost asleep at the front desk, Pick resting beside him, when the bell above the door dinged. He perked up, sitting up and getting round from the front desk.
He opened his mouth to speak as he approached, freezing up when he saw who was stood there. Many, many emotions hit him at once, but in the end he settled on rage. Instead of speaking, he charged forward, gripping the other by his clothing and throwing him towards the front desk, Pick screeching and darting out of the way.
Food bags be damned, he had a bone to pick with the guy that had wandered into his shop.
((Open to one person for now as I'm new to thread RP and wanna start small! PM if unsure/if you have questions! Character is TOM RIDGIT))
Tom had heard rumors of the water of Firefly Springs, that water glowed, that it had various different properties. At first he had assumed it was simply Parallax propaganda, little things to try and make them seem less like the evil brutes that they were. However, after hearing the rumors spread even amongst those he considered allies, he couldn't deny his curiosity. His pokemon didn't think it was a good idea, but they knew Tom well known - he'd go with or without them.
He only wanted a jar of the water, he had no interest in catching the pokemon in the spring; sure it was Parallax controlled but that was their home. He wasn't keen on needlessly capturing a pokemon, he had his team, and unless a pokemon wanted to go with him he wouldn't catch another. Equipped with his usual kit, pokeballs, and a jar for the water, he set out. Sure this was a bad idea, he wasn't sure if he'd be recognized or not. Being a radical for the Republic may have unforeseen consequences, and yet he found his dumb ass sneaking into the springs regardless.
He made fast for the water, taking a moment to first dip a finger in it, making sure he wasn't about to tote a jar of acid back to the shop in the bag he kept his pokeballs in - having a Golisopod suddenly released from the ball could pose problems and draw a lot of attention. He filled the jar quickly, amazed at how pretty it looked even when jarred. Parallax didn't deserve this, they really didn't. Pick headbutted him, letting out distressed chitters. Tom shoved the jar in the bag quickly, standing and turning, looking around, frowning.
There's nothing there, nothing but the deep, instinctive urge to R U N.
Not many things drew Tom out of his shop, much preferring to stay inside with Pick and wait for customers. However, his faithful, nosy little swoobat companion was attentive, and with their keen hearing they didn't miss much. They'd taken Tom by his hood and all but dragged him out the door, barely giving him time to pick up his bag lock up before continuing on.
Only when Tom stopped pitching a fit was he released. His ears twitched at the sound of distressed, potentially pained wailing, understanding immediately why Pick had been in such a hurry to get him outside. Hopefully he had his kit in his bag, if not then there could be trouble. He followed the source of the noise, his stride going from hurried to cautious upon spotting a downed rattata. He was thankful, worried he'd have to be dealing with something considerably more dangerous. His focus was fixed primarily on the injured pokemon, crouching and offering an outstretched hand, the other hand rummaging through his bag to see if he still had a packet of dried berries.
He ignored Pick, who was trying to get his attention, under the assumption there wasn't anyone else around to worry about an that Pick was acting up about him having gotten so close to a wild pokemon. He managed to get the rattata to take a couple of berries, and shuffle a little closer to him. It looked like an in-house job, figuring out how to get it back to the shop was going to be tricky... He pushed Pick away gently as they got up in his face.
"You're going to scare it, Pick, it's ok. I've done this before, you've been there every time just about, so calm down a little."
There's nothing there, nothing but the deep, instinctive urge to R U N.
Here's hoping I did this right, my BBCode knowledge is based in functionality rather tham aesthetics.
So I've decided to bite my anxiety and make a wanted thread. I had a base idea, that we could follow or completely deviate from, it's up to you, I'm not picky. The character I'd be using is TOM RIDGIT. The base idea I have is, essentially, your character and he have both run to answer what sounds like the call of a pokemon in distress, and with Tom having fairly ingrained trust issues, at first he assumes your character has arrived to try and take advantage of a pokemon they haven't rightly earned the capture of. Maybe your character had good intentions, or really was going to snag an easy catch, he wouldn't know until they make their intentions clear.
Tom would either welcome your character to come back to help take of the pokemon, or attempt to scare you away, depending on the impression he gets. He's not a particularly nasty man, he just knows better than to trust wildly, so if he does end up taking the defensive/offensive, all is not lost. You may be able to convince one of his pokemon (probably Pick, who isn't ever in a pokeball) that you're no threat.
We don't have to roll with that, I kind of just want to start rping onsite, so I'd be down for just about anything, just let me know. I'm guessing via PM is the standard way of contacting one another regarding starting threads?

Tom doesn’t talk about where he came from, or how he ended up around Lyeant, but he had enough startup cash to open up a store dedicated to proper pokemon care - a lot of commercial brands just don’t cut it, and when he’s not working towards the take down of Parallax, he’s either indulging a bad habit or advising people on how to take care of their pokemon. He’s autistic, so loud places, certain textures etc get to him, but he considers being autistic an incredibly positive thing - it’s given him an incredible interest in pokemon care that’s allowed him to own and run a successful shop, and while his empathy is unstable towards people his autism allows him to empathise with pokemon on borderline worrying levels. He’s prone to aggressive outbursts, which his pokemon help him through, he’s usually apologetic after an outburst. He enjoys playing bass and drums, roughhousing with his pokemon, and cooking for himself and his pokemon. [break][break]
There’s something sad about silence. Raise hell! Rise up! Crush those that harm you under your boot! You deserve better than the hand that has been dealt to you. Never settle for sub par![break][break]
Tom can struggle at first to appear friendly or to even get to like another person, despite his best efforts. He is cautious by nature and doesn’t trust many people. He prefers alone time or time with his pokemon over other people, but if someone is understanding that he needs quieter environments most of the time, and has common interests, he’ll eventually warm up to them.

>>> FRIENDSHIP
It’s not easy, but not impossible, to befriend Tom. Take good care of your pokemon, be forgiving of his misunderstandings and show him cute pictures of baby pokemon.
PLOT IDEA #1 Lighthearted stuff, just wandering into his shop and sharing pokemon info/pictures. He’s a chill guy, so he’d be absolutely down for a chat if the shop’s not particularly busy. [break][break]
PLOT IDEA #2 Pokemon rescue attempts will usually win Tom over. Be it recklessly throwing oneself into a battle, or between someone hurting a pokemon, or even hand rearing abandoned/orphaned baby pokemon, he’s all for it.
>>> HATESHIP
This is more my speed with Tom, this is more likely to happen - and your best shot at eventual loveship.
PLOT IDEA #1 Just general rivalry, I'm bad at ideas without bouncing them off someone else.[break][break]
>>> LOVESHIP
Don’t expect this, I’m not keen on basing a character on ships. The plot ideas are just here so I don’t have to do them later.
PLOT IDEA #1 I’m always a slut for soft fluff. Hurt/comfort. Maybe Tom’s had a meltdown and after Pick has done their job your character comes in to offer some comfort. Do note that interrupting Pick’s job is not wise, they know what they’re doing.[break][break]
PLOT IDEA #2 Dates are fun? Nice walks, movie nights. I don’t know. I’m too autistic for normal people folk relationship things. You’ll have to advise on that front.
>>> WANTED
McDonalds, milkshake and a BORGER I’m not sure what I’d specifically want. Interrogation RP has always been fun, as has just general asshole rivalry. I dunno, man. I prefer to see what my rp partner wants to do.
