Second daughter to the Ackermann family of Old Veherna and younger sister to the Devil herself, Lorelei Ackermann. The two are a staggering twelve years apart in age and take physically after different parents respectively, having made it difficult to pin them as blood siblings even prior to the elder's drastic change in outward appearance; to make matters worse, they're technically half siblings, seeing as Frieda was the result of one of her mother's affairs, although this isn't even knowledge held by the cheating woman in question. Money was scarce, father left home, mother lost herself in pieces over time; it's a story she barely remembers herself, too young to remember that fathers face, too oblivious to realize that mother was never waking up again. No, no, those early days are but fleeting memories flaking bit by bit into the wind. What Frieda really remembers is her childhood with only Lorelei by her side – and the terrible days that followed when she wasn't.[break][break]

(Was it Frieda's fault, then, that Lorelei was corrupted? That Lorelei killed lots and lots of people? Was it because she chose the idea of safety, the image of a man she'd never known why to hate over the love of her elder sister? No, of course not – but that doesn't keep Frieda from wondering.)[break][break]

- WHAT WILL THEY SAY ABOUT ME?

■ The last name “Marlene” is an alias, taken on to prevent people from mixing her up with or associating her with her sister. It's not out of malice, mind you – just the simple fact that parading around beneath the Ackermann name is about as close to a death sentence as a person can get in the Lyeant region.[break][break]

■ She works as a delivery girl, clinging to the infinitely slim chance that someday, somehow, her sister will be on the other side of the door she stands before, praying that fate will allow her the chance to see her again and make things right. While no such thing has happened yet, of course, her job does carry her all around the remains of the region, expanding her search radius by many fold... while also paying the bills![break][break]

■ In a moment of desperation, she promised her body to the soul of Entei – seeking a vessel for its own, yet unexplained reasons – in the instance that it first loaned her its power to aid in her search and rehabilitation of her sister. Entei's soul lays dormant in the back of her mind, perking up only occasionally to give her advice on not dying (something she's apparently very bad about not doing), but its power over the Flames of Life that many have sought in the past are entirely at her disposal. The pact is relatively fresh, however, and her control over flames that seem to have a mind of their own weak. All the better her team consists entirely of ice types; she's susceptible to quite literally burning up when embarrassed, and many an fire in both woods and building alike have had to be put out after she – accidentally! – started them.[break][break]

■ She requires glasses to see much of anything, near-sighted to the point that reading anything more than five feet from her face becomes near impossible, but she's frequently seen without such lenses, as much because she doesn't like them as the fact that she constantly forgets to put them on the bridge of her nose. For this reason, she tends to squint a lot, and if there's any hope of her reading something, it's if she has her face planted into it.[break][break]

■ Frie's got a thing for sweets. Bring her anything just oozing with sugar, and she'll love you forever.[break][break]

■ She's got a terrible sense of direction. Just. Awful. She'll end up in a clothing store looking for ice cream and hide her face in the clothing racks so no one sees how embarrassed she is. She'll never accept help if you offer it, though. Doesn't like to admit she's lost, either. If you forcefully lead her someplace, she'll follow, but otherwise, she's not gonna listen to a word you say about the matter.

Most people don't bother to try to imagine what family a mass murderer may have, although even if any tried in the case of a certain miss Lorelei Ackermann, few would likely imagine this to be the girl tied to her by genetics. Where Lorelei is hard, Frieda is warm – where Lorelei lacks empathy, Frieda is a bleeding heart. Perhaps the only thing they share in common is their inability to “get a clue”, as some would say, lost in their own individual, if not entirely different worlds. Frieda blames herself for the path that her elder sister took in life, and after years without any sort of contact, she's taken it upon herself to find the woman she believes – no, knows, deep down in her heart to be alive. Parading around and admitting to being a blood relative of Lyeant's most hated woman isn't going to do her any favors, though: the search is a long, tedious one ahead.[break][break]

Frieda's body currently houses the spirit of Entei and its power is hers to wield; however, Entei itself remains voluntarily dormant, waiting for its turn to pick up its own search after its host has finished her own.

Frieda is often mistaken for being a rather mild girl – she dresses in a modest, often “cute” fashion, and is pretty mellow when you see her walking around by her lonesome. Engage in conversation, or activity, or anything, really, and you come to learn that she's anything but: no word outside of “rowdy” could really capture the legendary-housing human. Her loud, usually obnoxious tenancies can ward others off, but really, she only has the best intentions in mind. She loves to have fun, and she loves spreading that fun and joy around, so if you're unlucky enough to get caught up in her antics, be prepared for quite the ride. Once she's secured a friend in someone, she'll probably be a total mooch, but stick by 'em through the thickest and the thinnest. Loyal like a dog, she's got your back and definitely won't be the one to break up friendships.

It's pretty easy to make friends with the red head, but it's equally as easy to blow things up and end up on her list of sworn enemies. One rude name called or one punch thrown, and she'll pretty much be spitting in your food or sabotaging your... everything until the day either one of your dies, or you decide it's about time to apologize. She's not afraid to pick fights, and while she's all bark and no bite sure, she'll get physical, but she doesn't have nearly enough strength to really back it up, the name calling and attempts at fist fights can still get everyone in pretty big trouble. Never one to accept the blame, either, if she's the one doing the wronging, she'll never turn around and fess up to her mistake. Feuds can only be ended by the other party admitting their wrong-doing and asking for forgiveness, in which case she'll usually be pretty likely to accept. Only after making them do a variety of embarrassing things to “ensure the sincerity of the apology”.

It's a common misconception that Mr. Marlene's a rather “girly-girl,” and that everything beyond skin-deep is tomboy, through and through... except for one little thing. Sure, she grew up wanting to be a cool hero and played with rope instead of dolls and pretty much labeled herself as a guy in her younger days, but none of that served to quell the fact that she's always kind of been a hopeless romantic. If you talk about love, of course, she'll be all, “Ew, cooties, love is for suckahs,” but most of her favorite parts of movies have always been the guy getting the girl or the girl getting the guy in the end, and she'd be lying if the doodles she used to draw were of literal knights in shining armor saving her from loneliness and poverty. Unfortunately, she's never actually fallen in love, and she'd probably bury any crush she'd get under lots of yelling and your typical “bully the kid you like so that they never know” antics. Good luck courting this one, guys.

She's a legendary, so fellow legendaries would make for some pretty ideal plots, particularly ones who can't wrap their mind around she and Entei's pact or refuse to accept a human mind wield an almost-deity's power. These very powers have actually made her the unwitting causation of some fires around Lyeant - in woods, in buildings, et cetera - some of which have been labelled mistakenly as arson. Police going after her and mistaking her for a criminal, or other faction members believing her to be a pyromaniac of a Republic member could be fun. Otherwise, anyone she can trust in the hunt for her sister is company well-appreciated. Let's find Lorelei Ackermann before law enforcement takes her to the guillotine!
