Bright eyes open to see the world in bright multi-colored lights. With them comes the beautiful feeling of emotions, granted to the people of the world by one legendary Pokemon. Two others emerged with the legendary; it's siblings. It could tell. Both of them were like itself, but at the same time so vastly different. It knew their names and could communicate with them through it's mind. They were Azelf, or will, and Uxie, of knowledge. As for itself... it knew it's name as well.[break][break]
It was Mesprit of Emotion.[break][break]
Yet for all the bond they had, Mesprit wanted to separate itself from it's siblings. Their bond was strong, so strong that they shared that telepathic link. The ability to speak to each other through their minds. Mesprit wanted to explore. To see the world that it had granted the ability to feel. Witness the human beings love each other and have the same bond that it had with Uxie and Azelf. But what it saw was terrifying. There was joy and wonder and light, but also sadness and rage and deceit. Was this really what the gift had brought? All this pain and suffering?[break][break]
No. Such things was not what Mesprit wanted to see.[break][break]
The lake became the home of the legendary Pokemon. Lake Verity, where legends came to pass. Here was the place that it had decided to stay. For better or for worse, this was where the being of emotion would stay.[break][break]
Suddenly there was an explosion. Not where it was, but far away. Azelf was under attack and Mesprit felt that. The pain, the shock, the sudden noise echoing through it's head. It was too much to bare. Eyes that had once seen multi-colored lights flashed open as the owner fled from the cave it had once called home. Out into the bright sunlight, into the world. Out there it could sense it, a child with a powerful connection to it. A child with so much emotion.[break][break]
In that moment it was captured and taken inside an airship.[break][break]
The boy with the emotion that resonated, he had come aboard to save the legendary Pokemon. It was intrigued by the action. Had such humans always existed? Ones that would throw themselves into the fray for a Pokemon they barely knew? Or was it something else. No it was impossible to tell. Even Mesprit knew this. Yet here he was. Keeping close. Upon arrival he was taken away and the being of emotion was placed in a small containment field nearby Azelf and Uxie. Then there was pain. Blinding pain as it screamed. This had to be it; the pain that all the humans had endured over the years and it deserved it. It had brought this pain it was all Mespirit's fault and it acknowledged that fact.[break][break]

The three children of Sinnoh, it recognized one. They called themselves the 'Pokedex Holders' and it saw why. They were brave and strong, each one resonating with one of the three Pokemon. Azelf felt connected to the blonde boy, Uxie to the girl. However Mesprit itself still felt closely connected to the boy who had come so far to save it. Before returning to the lake, it took one last look at the boy. A thank you of sorts for saving it's siblings and destroying the Red Chain.[break][break]

Everything was supposed to be fine now, but it wasn't. Although it had been prepared to go back into slumber there was something inside Mesprit that didn't want to go back. That little light wanted to see the world and explore it, to become a part of the world which it had granted emotions. The connection shared with the other two would always remain, but the Pokemon left the lake. It left the lake behind and went to see the world on it's own. But not for long.[break][break]
It was drawn to a child.[break][break]
A small little girl with bright pink hair with more emotion than Mesprit had ever seen. It would watch her for some time, the girl with ever-lasting tears it seemed. But at the same time she would smile brighter than anyone else with more joy than those who stood next to her. The last thing that it expected was the girl to turn and see. To look straight at the Pokemon and know exactly what the pink creature was. The girl asked a single thing. It was the last thing that Mesprit expected to hear from such a joyful human.[break][break]
'I want you to use my body and erase me'[break][break]
It didn't want to say yes. How could it? Such a small child with so much ahead of them, and she wanted to leave that all behind. Leave it and never have it return. What sort of Pokemon would it be if it said yes? But that twinkle in the girl's eye - this was her escape. A way to escape from the pain that Mesprit itself had granted the world. With a single nod, it understood.[break][break]
