Elise battled her way up through the league until she earned a spot in the Elite Four as an electric type specialist at a very young age. She'd done it. She made it to stardom, so... why was there still no word from the girl she'd longed to see for so long? She felt more and more like Luca was very dishearteningly far away.[break][break]
With her new job, she had little time to get depressed, even though her heartstrings never stopped hurting for the one she missed. She always kept her composure, and such an act came naturally to her with her level of charisma while performing under the eyes of many others. Elise was a merciless battler who rarely if ever let trainers get passed her in order to challenge the champion. She crushed countless aspiring trainers' dreams of defeating the Lyeant Pokemon League, and witnessed many people of all kinds break down and embarrass themselves over a frustrating loss to the young, newest Elite Four member. Some time throughout her time as Elite Four, perhaps there came to be a rumor that she was not adequate to be an Elite Four member. She felt that rather than serve as a challenging obstacle for trainers to overcome, battling her was like fighting a solid wall due to her extremely competitive nature and inability to hand over a loss even when the challenger deserved it. She held those of her position to a very high standard, but by her own beliefs, thought she was not right to be an Elite Four member anymore. Elise never talked about these thoughts though, and just quietly stepped down from her position only a couple years after earning it without any explanation to the press.[break][break]
Despite her short time as a member of the Elite Four, she had become close friends with the other Elite Four members at the time. Even though she kind of disapproved of one of the others' carefree approach to being an Elite Four member, she admired the ex-elite four, Ryoto's 'for glory' approach and believed it was what made him a great Elite Four member, and they all developed a friendship like comrades among each other which remained even after all four had stepped down from their position almost simultaneously after Elise did so, the others choosing to step down for better reasons such as the fact that they'd been doing this job for a good long time and were finally tired and ready to move on with their lives. They still kept in touch often, and Elise decided to aid the Lyeant police force with her abilities and her strong sense of justice, always ready to fight again against the next Imum-level threat. Not for a single moment did she forget though, that her heart was reserved for only one person, and she never grew weary of waiting for the day that she'd see her again.

lay me right down, let me sleep, i'm restless. cover my eyes. when i'm up, i'll finally fade away, here, today. give me a reason: then i'll stay. if i could fly, if for only a moment, there wouldn't be such a need for casualty. i'm alone, and that is how it'll be.
