01. You are above your peers from the day you are born: of this, you are certain.[break][break]
02. You score higher in tests, know all of the answers in class, read books intended for children with years' gain over you. Their game are trivial, their antics infantile. Even your sister succumbs to the stupidity you've dodged as a bullet: insufferable to be around, a thorn in your side. You hate the lot of them from the beginning.[break][break]
03. Your childhood is empty. Mama and Papa don't love each other like they're supposed to; you push your sister down when she reaches out for your hands. Surely, the worlds crafted in storybooks are better; you use them as your escape.[break][break]
04. Then Elise arrives in your life.[break][break]
05. A future you will look back on these days in embarrassment; in the moment, you milk the opportunity for all it is worth.[break][break]
06. An intellectual equal – a peer you can feel on par with. She's as much a godsend as anything that has ever been (will ever be) sent to you, and you make a monopoly of her time as a result. Not that she seems to mind much at all. You tell her of all the fanatical worlds you've read of, and she speaks to you of the childhood she'd led before your orbits overlapped and you came crashing into one another. The novel you read speaks of soulmates, and it's all you think of when you give into childish giddiness and swear a promise:[break][break]
Best friends forever.[break][break]
07. Years pass. Your parents are no more happy with one another, but Elise proves to be a better influence on you than giving you a friend. You reconnect with your sisters on the days you do not spend at your blonde friend's home, and while the words you offer the people around you are sharp, the razor's edge has dulled to scratch, rather than slice.[break][break]
08. Boys can't keep your interest. You have Elise – all you ever need is Elise.[break][break]
09. (The world takes her away from you, anyway.)[break][break]
10. Packed bags, moving trucks; Mama and Papa break like ice beneath a pickax, and your family is split in two just the same. Two daughters, one for each parent. Bye-bye, Gaia, see you on weekends. Papa takes your hand, and suddenly, it's all gone: the house, the schoolyard, the children you thought yourself better than, and the girl your heart beat fast for. You don't even get the proper chance to say goodbye.[break][break]
11. You don't see Gaia one weekends. You don't see Gaia ever. Mama keeps her away, wno't let her come near, so Papa doesn't let you go near, either.[break][break]
12. You'd be mad her her if you wouldn't have done the same.[break][break]
13. Relations with your father had been virtually non-existent at best. He was never a family man, apparently too caught up in troublesome memories of a past in Orre, and the most he ever did in your life was take up space at the dining room table and take the second helpings that you had wanted, even if he never finished them.[break][break]
14. He sneers at you now – vile, twisted – and promises to 'make something out of you yet'.[break][break]
15. Pokemon with artificially closed hearts, violent, apathetic, powerful. Orre was teeming with them. Could the same thing be done to optimize a human being? (Together, you'll find out.)[break][break]
16.Papa, no – Papa, why – Papa, I thought you loved me – [break][break]
17. He calls you all sorts of terrible names, does all sorts of terrible things to you. It hurts for the longest time. And then, even when it still should: it doesn't.[break][break]
18. Imum happens thousands of miles away. They pay pretty penny for the research Papa does (and you, his loyal guinea pig, too hollow to say anything otherwise), and though neither of you step foot on Lyeant soil, you become remote members, aiding from afar.[break][break]
19. You'd thought, emptily, his greatest project would come to a close and you would be spared. It doesn't.[break][break]
20. You're almost there, so close, practically a perfect specimen of a human with no heart: stronger, without moral, capable of wielding powers just like your Pokemon counterparts. But you're not really perfect. There's one final lock that needs to be done, but no matter what you do, it refuses to budge.[break][break]
Let go of everything, and you can have the world.[break][break]
You try and you try – but your mind keeps going back to one thing, to one face, and tears you shouldn't have left come spilling down all over again.[break][break]
21. Steel against flesh, bullet to the brain. There should be something. Relief. Anger. Sadness. Joy.[break][break]
22. Imum falls, Papa dies, your hands are coated in his blood – and still, you don't feel an Arceus damned thing.[break][break]
23. Hollow, hollow; but it's so easy to hide. Plaster on makeup, smile for the cameras. No one would ever know the difference.[break][break]
24. By all accounts, your father was a failure. Through years of painful abuse and experimentation – the former as much for the sake of it as it was for the sake of the latter – he had succeeded in only making you an almost success. This world around you means nothing, as far as you are concerned. In truth, you'd be surprised to find yourself upset by a knife pressed to your own throat, cutting, cutting. A younger you would have begged for it and the release it would bring, but a younger you had emotions to spare.[break][break]
Where he failed – or, maybe, where you failed – was in cutting your ties to what lies within the world. Memories of Gaia and Elise, of your childhood that you can't help but still love so come flooding in, and no Shadow Pokemon has the capacity for sorrow.[break][break]
It hurts – more – because you don't feel anything otherwise, anything at all. Surely, it would be better to surrender entirely to the emptiness and the meaningless violence that your Papa had planned for you. Surely, it would be better if you could just let go.[break][break]
25. Lyeant looms on the horizon, closing in with each inch of water crossed. You have plans for this wretch of a place:[break][break]
You will finish what your father started, and[break][break]
you will not be the last of your kind.

The personification of “villainy is in fashion”, really. Part time Neo-Imum grunt, full time model, Luca Zeppeli alternates between wowing the region of Lyeant with her womanly charms and plotting its demise, all depending on the hour of the day. Her motivations are unclear to any and all, outside of herself; she's no Pokemon activist, dreaming of a utopia free of humanity's cruelty, nor does she appear to harbor any hatred for her race as an entire unit, at least nothing so strong as to wish them all dead. The closest link was her prior involvement in the old Imum, but even then, such was from a distance far enough that none would have been the wiser about her identity and involvement. Just what does this decadent woman want out of her involvement with the group's second coming?
[break][break]
Luca is a decadent woman before all else. She enjoys the spotlight first and foremost, but many of her nights are spent in high class parties, drinking with the wealthy, the beautiful, the elite, and sleeping off another horrible hangover come morning. Only the flashiest aspects of life seem to give her any shred of entertainment anymore. The books she once buried her nose in have since lost their charm, their stories hollow, their themes lost on a mind that has seen the worst and come out of it broken. The life of the party is the only way to distract herself, then, and the only way to keep it in her grasp is to be the life of the party: all consuming, all joyous, all inclusive. If you're within reach, she will attempt to suck you in, inject her sense of “fun” into you whether you want it or not. To some, it's a blessing – a way to break out of shells – and to others, a curse – forced into a situation they care not for and have no intention of staying with. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, this is how she treats any and all. Names? Faces? They matter not. Her “best friend” of the night is forgotten by morning, replaced with another by evening, and while her recycling of people seems to be caused by carelessness and foolishness, this self-isolation is calculate. She doesn't want lasting relationships: so she'll suck you in, and then she'll spit you out, and that will all you'll ever be to the eldest Zeppeli daughter.[break][break]
She does not hate. Those aren't the words of a pacifist, mind you, or of a soul too forgiving of even the cruelest of people that she would overlook their wrong-doings without so much as a second thought. She does not hate because she cannot hate – it's not within her incredibly limited scope of actual human emotion. She killed her father, the man who should have been the object of all of her rage and contempt and fear, but life proved no different with it in him than without, and since that moment, she's come to accept that she cannot hold grudges, cannot grow annoyed, will not hold anything against a person, but will never feel anything at their lose. Just as friends are recyclable, so, too, are human lives, used up to their fullest, then tossed away without second thought or capacity for remorse. She is not so insecure with her career as to view other models as “rivals”, nor does she have the drive to move up in Neo-Imum to have reason to step on the heads of others within their group. Some would think a lack of anger and a lack of enemies would be a blessing. To Luca, it's simply dull.[break][break]
If her hate is out of the question, you should understand, then, why love is just the same. No one in the world can move her heart after what has been done to her, nor does she want anyone to have that power. … Or, well, that's what she'd have people believe. In truth, there are two entities in Lyeant who can still make her conflict, can still make her feel the echo of emotions long-lost: her sister, object of platonic love, and her childhood friend, object of romantic love. Outside of them, she simply can't love another, nor is she interested in the physicality of “love making”; if your name is not Elise, you do not belong here.[break][break]
I'd love to get her involved with other members of Alstromeria Studios, as well as other members of Neo-Imumif anyone ever MAKES any, sdlfjkhdsfjsdhfsdjfh! I actually have some extra secret plans for her in the future, although as of current, there are no real roles in that grand scheme that need to get filled ASIDE FROM MORE NEO-IMUMS, C'MON, GUYS. Until then... throw whoever at her? She's very pretty, so flirt away, I guess. If you're a party animal, so is she, go ham. ;o

>>> FRIENDSHIP
