Luke comes from the Belmont family, a family with some notoriety for their research and adventures around the world. Born to Vincent and Seras Belmont and the second child of two, having an older sister named Holly, Luke was born in the same hometown as his mother in Verdant. Luke spent his childhood surrounded by nothing but Pokémon from all over the world and access to research material and knowledge that’d make anyone with a thirst for knowledge jealous. His parents never stayed in one place for too long and as such his time spent in his home region of Lyeant was cut short. [break][break]
Kalos would be the Belmont’s next home and where Luke spent the most of his later childhood before his teenage years. Much was expected of the young Belmont seeing as not only did he have respected parents but also a sister who was on her way to conquer the Kalos League and those beyond, making quite the splash in her wake. While he excelled at his schoolings he found the whole ordeal boring and often found him getting into trouble, trouble he caused most of the time. If it wasn’t for his pension for causing trouble and getting into scraps he’d been a model student. [break][break]
During his teenage years he would often go with his parents whenever they went out on some sort of research excursion or adventure, often before being left behind with relatives in Kalos. It was this way that the young boy managed to see the world and all the things it had to offer. He also got more serious about his studies, and while not sure what exactly he wanted to do with himself the idea of becoming a researcher like his parents wasn’t far out of the question. He’d also assist whenever his parents worked with the International Police, due to his father’s past ties. Luke often receiving praise for his assistance and being offered to join when he became older. Eventually, and much like his sister, Luke went out on his own to carve his own path. [break][break]
His time on his own was spent traveling different regions and learning as much as he could, while also taking in the sights. He’d even challenge the leagues much like his sister, though not being that dedicated to them as she was. What he found himself more interested in was acting as a somewhat vigilante, solving crimes and bring criminals to justice. His vigilante days came to an end when he came across a big international police operation. They let him work with them but his vigilante days were over after that. [break][break]
Afterwards they offered him a job working with them which he happily accepted. Luke did well at his job, excelled even, gaining quite the reputation as some sort of hot shot officer. However this came with the reputation of being a bit reckless and getting himself into trouble a lot. Working with the International Police wasn’t everything that Luke had thought it was going to be. A criminal going by the name moniker The Reaper had been the culprit of a myriad of crimes ranging from trafficking of all sorts to poaching. Due to his actions Luke took a leave of absence, returning to his home region to visit his parents who were currently staying there. [break][break]
