postitive traits

- Warm. Be it with friends, family, or complete strangers, Eleanor will always try to make whomever she's with feel comfortable and happy with the overbearing warmth that her very being exudes.
- Charismatic. Playful. Fun. Lovingly teasing people is great.
- A kind, gentle soul.
- Accepting of people as they are, both strengths and flaws included. She likes seeing the good in people rather than the bad, though, so this might be a biased claim.
- Easily excitable. Looking for someone to whom you can rant to your heart's content and who will actually be just as excited or offended about it as you? Please take a seat.
- Optimistic. Sparkly eyes and a cheerful smile are almost permanently etched into Eleanor's face. Contrasting with Liam's cynical outlook on life, Eleanor often serves as his little ray of cheer and hope.
- Altruistic. Eleanor may not have much in the way of material possessions, but she is willing to and indeed will share what she has with those who need it.

negative traits

- Eleanor is a certified worrywart. With her husband having such a demanding job, it can be hard not to worry all the time about his wellbeing, though, can't it?
- Vengeful when she feels either herself or those she holds dear are wronged in any way, although her particular form of being vindictive may be considered childish. Nevertheless, beware a mother's wrath.
- Try-hard in her attempts at helping others, to the point the consequences may end up being worse than the original problem. They often do.
- Clumsy. Yeah, yeah, call it a cliché as much as you want, but Eleanor's always had that certain air of clumsiness to her. Perfect for her husband's protectiveness to really shine, yes?
- Hedonistic. Live life and feel good or go home.
- Tying in with her hedonistic tendencies, Eleanor can be pretty damn spoiled when there's anything she actually wants. She's a big baby who takes care of other smol babies.
- Impatient. She does try to control herself when it's important, though! Keyword: try.
- Conformist. Eleanor's pretty satisfied with the life she's got now: she has a loving husband, a beautiful little girl, enough food not to go starving and a house and everything she always lacked as a child. Anything more than that? That'd be asking for too much, wouldn't it?

Tall walls and marvelously intricate ornaments. When she thinks of Phenac now, Eleanor remembers not the faces of her people, but the architectural beauty of the small city she was born in. When she thinks of the oasis town now, she frowns. A plethora of different, often contradicting emotions collide. She knows Phenac was never meant to be her home—she knows that now, because home is wherever her beloved husband is, but still she can't help fearing the detachment with which she now regards the place that saw her cry her first sobs, mouth her first words, crawl and tumble and walk and run.
[break][break]
Does it make her heartless, to not miss her hometown? Does it make her ungrateful?
[break][break]
Eleanor's had been a family that consisted of a single mother, an older brother, and herself. It was not perfect, it was not loving, and more often than not the three of them shared their time only during the few hours that exhaustion-induced sleep took over their bodies, but little Eleanor found she could not complain. Although, even now, adult Eleanor disagrees with her old family's ways, she can acknowledge that her mother did the best she could. It was, after all, everything they knew, everything they thought possible, everything they aspired for. That is, of course, until she met him.
She jokes about it now, likes to call her old, playful friend Fate. Before, she would call him Liam Jr. Before that, just Liam.
[break][break]
It all started with an innocent escapade to the city's slums. Or so she thought, at any rate. Rather, Eleanor thought this five or six years later, during her teen years, when her maiden heart fluttered at the very sight of her first and only love. It also fluttered at the sight of the light and fluffy pastries he would sometimes treat her after school, to be fair. Now? Now she's pretty sure the boy she'd met that day had been no human boy, but rather a zorua in disguise. An illusionist. A sneaky little pokemon boy posing as the real Liam.
[break][break]
Nothing out of the ordinary happened. It wasn't one of those fateful encounters of love at first sight that the entertainment business likes selling. He looked very out of place, however, and that was enough to leave an impression lasting enough in little Eleanor's mind to remember him. The next time she saw him, he was sitting on the porch of one of the nicer houses in the city. There was blood smudged across his once white t-shirt, across his jeans. She should have been scared, but she wasn't. Instead, all she could think about was how much she disliked seeing the sour expression marring his face.
[break][break]
She sat by him, talked to him, and for what felt like an eternity received no answer. He really was a reserved one, wasn't he? But Eleanor did not let that deter her. In that moment, she made it a personal goal to coax laughter out of him, and for that she used every little funny anecdote she could think of, every little piece of gossip she overheard from the ladies of the rich houses in Phenac for whom her mother often had her running errands. Her prize, at long last: a small, barely perceptible smile.
Liam's first years working for the Interpol were rough for both of them. She missed her boyfriend and worried about his safety daily. Their shared apartment felt empty, lonely. She occupied herself with their small herd of sheltered street puppies and other house chores, but it wasn't enough to fill the void. It wasn't until she came of age that they finally put a ring on each other's fingers, and for months after that she felt truly happy again. Until he started going on longer, more dangerous missions.
[break][break]
Something needed to change in her life. She needed a profession, something worthwhile to occupy her time. The question had always been what? Eleanor had very few skills that could be put to work, and they were all limited to the keeping of a house. Furthermore, in the academic field, her school grades had never been all that good; in fact, it wasn't uncommon for Liam to tutor her in the classes she had trouble with. Pursuing higher education was out of the question. What could she do?
[break][break]
It was while she struggled with her overabundance of free time and search for a life path that the news of Liam's transfer arrived. They were to leave the cozy little place they'd built for themselves and relocate to an entirely new region. Again, this new change would bring to their lives enough excitement to hide from the feeling of uselessness nagging at her.
Veherna, Lyeant would see the Cellwise-Afolayan firstborn cry her arrival to this world to the four winds. Of course, it would also see a good deal of extremist exponents of terrorism breed and rise. Nina, their sweet child, had been no more than five when the bombing incident by Imum took over all media channels. Veherna was falling apart, and though their section of the city was well-guarded, the League representatives assured, Eleanor found she only wanted to take her family and get away from it all.
[break][break]
Liam couldn't leave because of his duties, and she refused to leave him behind, which in turn meant Eleanor and their baby girl would not leave either. Terrifying couldn't even begin to describe it. Months of living under the permanent threat of another attack made her lose the sparkle in her eyes. When one of said attacks took away Liam's left leg's muscle function, she knew no city would ever be a good home for them anymore.
A small range of green hills in West Irisia watches over the couple's new abode, where they hope to live Liam's premature retirement well into their nineties. She still hasn't found her calling, and they haven't completely escaped the aftermath of the civil war—they likely never will—but life is, for the most part, peaceful.
