A man, who makes his living by taking on almost any job, as long as the pay's good enough. Generally a pleasant man to be with, with Kapueo being a cheery wisecracker of sorts, but he can't really be called a good person. While not a bad one either, he does come out as a rather cold man, because he disregards the well-being of others, if they're not a person who he cares for. At the very least he shows a habit of prioritizing his and his loved ones' wants and needs well above those of others.[break][break]
Along with this, Kapueo is an intelligent and a realistic man, leaving very little room for idealistic thoughts or things lacking in evidence. He's also a skilled trickster, often utilizing tricks and tactics over straight up brute force, and more often than not he'll gladly use underhanded means. Very often even the simplest of actions have some meaning to them when it comes to Kapueo.[break][break]

early years

Kapueo Lachance was born on the 29th day of the 10th month in Alola Region's Akala Island. His father was a man originally from the Kalos Region travelling around the world, while his mother was a local rancher in Paniola Town. The relationship between the two remained rather loving, and thanks to their newborn son, Kapueo's father was able to resist the allure of travelling for some while.

When Kapueo was 4-years-old, his father began to feel quite restless and caused sparks to fly between the parents, ultimately ending with the two separating and the boy's father leaving for good. While he was sad to see his father go off, the young boy wondered about the world outside of his island that seemed to be so great in the mind of his father.

growing up

Though without a father, Kapueo grew with little to no worries, his favourite means of killing time being adventuring around the Lush Jungle and reading, both of which he did a lot.

At some point the boy took to crafting himself a makeshift bow and some blunt tipped arrows, after falling in love with a book telling the story of a rogue archer living like he wanted. He did this of course in secrecy not letting his mother find out about his handicraft, and only played around with it when in Lush Jungle.

While Kapueo was a rather carefree child, his mother personally was a bit worried about his son, who didn't get along with most kids around the town and often kept to himself. Of course anytime that the boy was confronted about this, he just replied that he's completely happy the way things are.

becoming a trainer and the island challenge

Once 11, Kapueo went to Melemele Island to take on his Island Trial, and he picked a Rowlet as his start, which approved of the boy in return and so the two began their journey.

The journey across the islands was a rather teaching experience for Kapueo when it came to independence, being a trainer and life in general. While mistakes were made, the boy only got back up and learned from them, slowly turning out into a rather impressive trainer.

After travelling through all the islands, clearing all the trials and getting himself a rather impressive team, Kapueo took on the final trial, battling and defeating the four Kahuna, clearing the trial.

With the challenge cleared, the Island Challenge amulet, which the boy had been carrying along with him as a sign of a trial taker, had become a symbol of the very journey he had taken and to this very day he takes good care of it and carries it with him everywhere.

the journey continues

Three and a half years passed, and while the time Kapueo spent in Alola was enjoyable, the Island Challenge had awoken the thirst of adventure that his own father also had. The boy wanted to explore more of the world and learn a lot more, and nothing was going to stop him.

While his mother was very against it, ultimately the boy succeeded in getting her approval and he set off almost immediately, his first destination having been the close by Kanto region.

After he got to explore the region to his fill, learning a lot about the culture and ways of it (and catching himself some new Pokémon), Kapueo traveled to the Johto Region, and this process would repeat itself plenty of times, with only a new destination.

adulthood

Years passed, and while quite a few new Pokémon had entered the ranks, with the team changing a couple of faces every now and then, things remained relatively same for Kapueo, at least travel wise. What had changed was the fact that he had began to take on jobs of all kind to support his plan of travelling around the world, and as he took on almost any jobs and did keep all of his customers satisfied, the man had made somewhat of a name for himself in certain circles and regions.

His trademarks were a team mostly, if not being completely, built of Grass- and Bug-type Pokémon, his bow and arrows, and rogue-like appearance that would let him merge well withing a forest or a jungle.

present day

Currently Kapueo is located in the uneasy Lyreant region and has been there for the couple of past months, working for Parallax, with his duty to be on standby unless told otherwise and act on their orders. Basically he's being their goon, acting as their eyes, ears or fists if they order so. The pay's good though, so the man's not going to be complaining.
