Time is an illusion. The world's first truth and the beginning of it all. Dialga was aware of all from its existence. It knew that there were others, it could see them. Feel them. Feel everything flowing and stopping at the same time. From the beginning, Dialga knew what would occur. Those who would come and go leaving their mark on the world, may it be beautiful or grotesque.[break][break]
Humans regarded it as a deity. Ancient and powerful, yet told in fables as a way to scare small children into behaving. [break][break]
It mattered not whether it was feared or loved. The Time Gears ticked on and another era would come to pass. [break][break]
Time is an illusion.[break][break]
It would never last.[break][break]
He spoke to Celebi. Watched as they traveled through time, trying to fix what would only recorrect itself, and stop what would happen at some other time without fail.
Dialga had visions although most would call them premonitions. Images of days where the line between right and wrong would blur. Friends would turn into foes and family would turn on one another for power to shape the world around them. It saw all yet turned a blind eye.[break][break]Years passed and somewhere in the Viridian Forest, a child was born and a deafening cry was heard inside of the Temporal World for the first time. [break][break]
It saw a small glimmer. A glimpse of a child who vanished just as quickly as they came.[break][break]
A grinning young boy with eyes brighter than Jirachi's star.[break]
A hardened young man who was scarred by the world.[break]
And then there was nothing.[break][break]
For once, it couldn't see deeper into someone's future. As if there was no future for him at all.[break][break]
The child's name was Perseus Spiros, the son of two researchers whom made their home in Viridian Forest around the time of his birth. He was a curious child who treated Pokemon as though they were of his own blood. Dialga watched the child with a curious eye as he teetered into childhood, ran into adolescence, and finally fell into the Temporal World once again. They were connected. Dialga knew that without a doubt. He brought Perseus into his world through the boy's dreams. Watched as the child stared at the "sky" and followed the stream of time.[break][break]
Perseus would awaken and believe it to be a dream but his mind was connected to Dialga's and if the boy was to serve his purpose, he needed to see. It leaked memories into Perseus' mind.[break][break]
The boy had many sleepless nights. He hungered for knowledge and wanted to know more. At the age of ten, he left for his adventure but it wasn't all. Contact with his family was scarce and slowly yet surely with the help of Dialga, the boy made his way to the Spear Pillar. He found the Adamant and Lusturous Orbs, and entered the Temporal World.[break][break]
Dialga made sure that the orbs would be returned to the "Other World" but Perseus stayed and fell into a deep slumber.
Dream after dream consumed Dialga's young ward as the stream of time wrapped around him. Changes occurred during Perseus' slumber; his hair becoming a stark white instead of the auburn brown that it once was. He would mumble in his sleep. Awakening when small ripples throughout the Temporal World occurred only to fall back into his realm of sleep. Dialga turned away from him to watch the flow of time as it always had. But one day, there was a disturbance.
[break][break]
The ripples in the Temporal World were signifying that the Spatial Dimension was coming far too close. Anger consumed Dialga and disrupted Perseus' rest causing him to awaken once the battle between the legendaries began. A rift opened in the Temporal World pulling Perseus away from Dialga and before it could grab hold of the boy, he was gone.
[break][break]
Dialga was pulled from the Temporal World and wrapped in red chains. The anger consuming it muddled the thoughts in its mind. Perseus was momentarily forgotten as it fought against Palkia, unaware of the hole forming in the "Other World". Humans disturbed the fighting and rescued Dialga and Palkia from their bonds which allowed it to think freely once more. It looked for Perseus in the time that it had before another rift opened, dragging it into the Distortion World.[break][break]
Giratina trapped them there. And there, Dialga had a moment to think and "sleep" instead of constantly looking. It thought of Perseus and where in time could he be. The boy was now in an time far from his own, stolen from the world that he knew, and if Dialga knew what this feeling was — it must have been shame.
[break][break]
It wasn't sure how long they were trapped. But when time flowed again, two humans stood before it. One that had saved them and another which sought to control them before. Dialga had seen the first prior to their meeting. A young boy by the name of Diamond if it was correct. Someday, Dialga was sure that it would be able to thank Diamond for what his role in the events to come. But for now it was imperative that Giratina was subdued.[break][break]
A great battle ensued between Palkia, Dialga and Giratina. [break][break]
Although it sympathized with Giratina's plight, the "Other World" could not take the distortion that Giratina stored inside. Another human attempted to leave the Distortion World with Giratina and Diamond followed while mounted on Dialga's back. Their fight resumed in the "Other World" and Giratina was soon defeated only to be sent back to the Distortion World. Before returning to the Temporal World, Dialga looked to the distance for Perseus and vanished from the "Other World".
Perseus awoke amidst a crowded area. Apparently, he was transported to Slateport City after being thrown from the Temporal World. He vaguely remembered Dialga and the dreams that he had. Everything seemed so familiar yet so distant at the same time. Wandering about, he went to the local police station and asked if someone could tell him how he could get home. Searching through old files and checking his ID card which was very out of date, they matched him to a young boy who went missing over fifty years ago. [break][break]
He was brought to Elinora Spiros' home that she shared with her late husband at one point in time. When the door opened, Perseus found himself staring at a face that he hadn't seen in years. One that was weathered by time and highs along with lows. [break][break]
His mother, Elinora Lysitte Spiros, was seventy-seven years old now. Her husband passed two years prior and the three children that they had after Perseus were older now. They even had grandchildren of their own. But here he was, fresh-faced and young. The woman fell apart and held her son in her arms. Nothing seemed to change for her. She kept his room the same, cleaning it regularly, and fixed the meals that he loved. Yet despite her best efforts, no one believed that Perseus was her son and some thought that she was merely delusional, feeling the heartbreak from when her child went missing.[break][break]
Perseus grew steadily. Coming into his own and learning more about the world around him. He didn't know how to tell his mother of his time spent in the Temporal World. The information that he learned and the Pokemon who kept him company in his slumber. But he tried his best, and she tried to understand, even if most of it seemed far-fetched.[break][break]
Time went on and Perseus became a young man who wanted to research Pokemon. His mother saw him off once more yet she couldn't help but notice that something seemed off in her son's smile.
[break]
He returned to the Spear Pillar and found the orbs once again. Looking to the pillar and then the world it overlooked, he found himself slipping back into the Temporal World.
[break][break]
This time, he saw it with his own two eyes. Dialga in all of the ancient deity's glory stood before him. No words were exchanged and nothing seemed to move but all at once relief spread through Percy's body. He closed his eyes and resigned to the sleep that found him sixty-one years ago. Images occurred in his mind and he communicated with Dialga. They talked for what seemed like years to Percy but it was only a short time that passed. He left the Temporal World once again and it was night time. His mother called him several times to check on him and he responded to her worried cries with reassurance. Percy believed he was fine. He had to be fine.
[break][break]
She didn't want him to disappear as he did before. Her heart wouldn't be able to take it, she said. She would go to the end of the Earth and back to bring him home.[break][break]
Not even death seemed to scare Perseus anymore. He'd seen time begin and end. As much as he wanted to return to the Temporal World, to speak with Dialga, to finish what was started, he knew that his mother's time would run out soon. He saw it and he saw what would happen to himself as well.
Humans would never learn, Dialga lamented. [break][break]
Arceus' Creation Process was forced and Dialga felt himself being brought into being. It wasn't frightening. It wasn't anything. It couldn't remember the last time that it "felt". Arceus was livid and Dialga was angered as well. It wasn't sure why exactly but it was. A human tried to quell its rage and slowly yet surely, it was coming around. But Dialga heard another cry of pain. Somewhere far away, it could see him. Perseus struggling to keep on his feet. The skin on his left arm darkening and strange patterns taking form, a marking etched into his skin over his left eye grew prominent as he curled in on himself. His Pokemon and colleagues trying to aid him.[break][break]
The glimpse was gone once Acreus was calmed.[break][break]
The bond between itself and Perseus has been formed.[break][break]
Dialga left Johto with Palkia, leaving the rest up to Perseus.
Imum ravaged the land just as Dialga showed him. Perseus hid his mother, sending her away without reason. Team Imum found him and he didn't resist what would come. Perhaps they stole his research and burned his laboratory to the ground, he'd never know. His mother was hopefully somewhere so far away that he hoped they wouldn't be able to reach her. Perseus was dragged into the Temporal World on his last breath and wanted to have a talk with Dialga if he could manage to speak the words. The deity watched as he struggled to breathe, laughing at his own mortality with eyes blurred by tears.[break][break]
It was the first time that he tried to speak without using the link between their minds.[break][break]
"But it seems as though my time is up."[break][break]
Perseus Spiros stopped like a watch which ceased its ticking and Dialga entered his body. It didn't reverse Perseus' time but it stopped his time from flowing. Perseus would remain in his slumber and this time, who knows when he will awaken.
Years passed and Team Imum was defeated or so they say. The Republic, Association and Parallax rose to compete against one another. People would come and people would go but time is an illusion.[break][break]
And somewhere, a young man named Perseus Spiros was taking a nap with his Mimikyu by his side, the distant ticking of the clock being his lullaby.
