she's got edges upon edges - everyone that meets her ends up cut and bleeding because she's the kind of person that leaves a trail filled with shards of broken prides behind her. she's not a sweetheart, and she's not someone you want to cross either. she's not going to stand there and let people run on with bullshit, and she's not going to back down because she's got confidence in herself and her talents. people are draw to her - when are they not drawn to a strong woman? - but nobody gets really close because she's a fortress of steel beams and sharp glass. she's not going to break people on purpose, but it always ends up happening when someone wants to get close to her - it's just a thing she's learned that is natural when around her.

but those that are patient, and those that are able to withstand what this woman is, they find themselves present to a friend for life, a bastion. she's not a bitch - people have said as much - because in the end she truly cares. perhaps it's why she's a vice president of sales. she's got the harsh edge to not get edged out by the competition, but she has a heart, a soul that beats in rhythm like everyone else. but only those that take the time to see her for her, to see beyond the tempest that is herself, will be able to understand this, and earn her true loyalty. after all, the best friends are the ones that can love you for your defects too, right?

INTERVIEWER: So! We're here, finally in interview with miss Katherine Thomas, vice-president of sales at PH Genetics! Everyone let out a round of applause for her!
[break][break]
KATHERINE: I'd say thank you, but I really don't think it necessary.
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: Haha our pleasure! This is going to be a pretty long interview after all, might as well get the audience going right? But.. I can see you don't want to beat around the bush! So let's start! Here's what we know: you weren't born in Lyeant, rather you were born in the Johto region, at the lovely Ecruteak city. We know your mother was a Kimono girl in her prime, and your father was one of the monks maintaining the Bell tower. So are we right so far?
[break][break]
KATHERINE: Yes, you are. My mother was the head Kimono girl in her prime, and when she was forced to retire - because kimono girls have an age limit, due to the nature of their work - she instead transferred herself over to the gym in the town, as one of it's trainers. My father does still work with maintaining Bell tower, even to this day.
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: So how was it like? Your mother must have been famous in the city right, and your father seems to have an important job, from what we know of the area. So you must have had some reputation and fame from them right?
[break][break]
KATHERINE: Yes. Perhaps that's why I know how to handle my current celebrity status. As a child, children were hesitant to cross me or even play with me - not that I blame them, my mom is a ferociously scary woman. It took them a little bit to warm up to me, but once they did it was alright - they realized that I liked playing, and had a creative mind. Although, my parents were pretty strict - I had to be home by a certain time, and I had to check in every hour too - they did let me be a child, for the most part.
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: For the most part? Sounds like a story there!
[break][break]
KATHERINE: They were very, very strict about education. They didn't tolerate me slacking on my basic schooling, and more so the extra lessons they used to give me. My mother had courses suited for a kimono girl and my father was also adding traditional training as well, in order for me to do them proud by being a good traditional little girl.
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: But obviously they must have gone wrong somewhere, because you seem more modern then almost anyone!
[break][break]
KATHERINE: Perhaps. I understand the past, and with that, I understand the future. Both of my parents were lucky to get the roles they did, considering they were foreigners to the city themselves - my father was originally born in Lavender town, and my mother comes from somewhere in Kalos, she never told me where - and perhaps they wanted me to carry on their hard work. But... my calling was elsewhere - as a child, I learned how to talk to people, and convince them. Mostly because they were afraid to do anything with me, but partly because I wanted people to go along with my plans.
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: Oooh, hard headed even then?
[break][break]
KATHERINE: -laughs- yeah, I suppose you could say that. I just had a vision, and I wanted to follow it. My parents never understood me in that way, and neither did my peers. Whilst they went off on their pokemon journeys at the age of ten to twelve, I stayed behind, and completed my schooling first. Because I wanted to be more then just a trainer - I wanted more for myself then that.
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: I see... how informative! We'll take a small break, but after that, we'll touch upon your pokemon journey! Stay tuned folks!
INTERVIEWER: Welcome back everyone! had a good break? Got some snacks? Good, because it's time to ask Miss Thomas here about her pokemon journey! We do know that you've done the johto, kanto, orre and lyeant challenges, all in between the age of sixteen to eighteen! So let's start with the obvious question: which one was your first journey, and was it the most important one?
[break][break]
KATHERINE: My first journey... well it was surprisingly enough, lyeant. I had decided to go far away for my first journey, mainly because I wanted to see if I could take care of myself. I'd say that all of my journeys were important, but the one in lyeant is truly my first journey, and it's so full of experiences and realizations that I can't even put a word for all of them. If anything, it is that first journey that let me fall in love with this region.
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: Fascinating! So which one was your last journey? And are you sad that you're not longer taking these long journeys?
[break][break]
KATHERINE: My last one was Johto. I wanted to come home, and sweep through the challenge to show everyone how much I've grown, how much I've matured. And I did so, and needless to say my parents were overjoyed that I was home for a while. I am a bit sad that because of my work, I can no longer take those long journeys, but in a way it's better like this. Because if I were to start again, I don't think I could stop - I'd end up one of those really old people still on the road, the ones that make you worry for your health when you're a child you know? Perhaps it is better like this.
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: Perhaps, who knows, life is strange right? Anyways, which region was the hardest for you?
[break][break]
KATHERINE: That would have to be Orre. Mainly because I decided to tackle it right after Lyeant - and let me tell you, people in Orre don't mess around. They may lack wild pokemon, but that doesn't mean their trainers are slouches. In fact, the trainers are even harder there, because it's pretty much a consensus that Orre isn't a place to go on a traditional pokemon journey. It's a place where you go in and you have to fight, and if you're subpar, you sink. I learned that the hard way, and improved myself in Orre for quite sometime before going ahead and going to Kanto and Johto.
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: Oh yes, we've definitely heard of how hard it is in Orre here! I do have one final question about your journeys for you. What have you done each time you went to a new place? I'm sure your partners were very strong at the end of any one region, so how did that effect the others?
[break][break]
KATHERINE: A deep question... I, for one, changed my party very often to some degree. I'd find a partner that I'd work well with and keep them for sometime - but overtime, very few of the pokemon I caught and trained actually stayed with me. Some, I put into storage, giving them a well earned rest. Some, I gave away to potentially strong trainers - and some I traded. In the end, the ones that I have with me are the ones that are truly dedicated to me, and I to them. They were my partners, and they've all come in at different points in my journeys - but each of them means something to me. Sometimes I rotate them around, depending on their moods, but it's generally consistent I think.
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: Wow! Alright folks, we'll be back after this commercial break!
INTERVIEWER: Welcome back everyone! Now, this is what you've all been waiting for right? Now, now we get to ask Miss Thomas about her job, and current affairs! Are you excited? I sure am! So, let's start with the simple question: What exactly is your job, and what is your company about?
[break][break]
KATHERINE: If that's simple I'm afraid to see what you'd call complicated. Let's start with the latter: PH Genetics is, first and foremost, a humane organization. We study pokemon and human genetics, simply said, amongst other projects. Our current project is knows as Gijinka, where a human has Pokemon traits. We offer serums to insert the dna of a pokemon within a human, or to remove it from a human, in the case of those that do not wish it and were forced to have it. All of our methods are humane, and we're certain to make sure that the donors of the pokemon dna are treated equitably and that means asking them if they understand what we're doing. With me thus far?
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: Yes! It sounds fascinating so far!
[break][break]
KATHERINE: Alright, now my work in the company is pretty much not what we're doing right now to say the least. I'm in charge making sure people do their jobs - to make sure that the numbers match, making sure that our margin is maintained amongst other things. A lot of it is number crunching, talking to people and attending lots of meetings. It might seem boring to most, but I get a zing out of it as I'm helping our sales department keep ontop of the demand they get. But truly explaining everything well.. those are company secrets, I can't really share. I just know that most VPS are generally like me. Driven, willing to do what they need to get done, and a leader.
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: Wow! I certainly didn't expect that! But enough about work, because after all, all work and no play makes us all dull uh? What about your love life and your hobbies?
[break][break]
KATHERINE: See that's a lot simpler! I don't have anyone special in my life right now, nor do I intend to because most can't deal with my demanding schedule. I'm often called a bitch you see, simply because I don't spend time on the fluff. But my hobbies are challenging people to pokemon battles, relaxing with my beloved companions, and well you might see me put on a show or two. I do so love to dance when I have the chance.
[break][break]
INTERVIEWER: Oh really? We totally have to catch a show then! And that's it folks, it's all the time we have this week! We'll see you guys next week, like usual!
