hands of time
DAY AFTER DAY, LIKE A LIFETIME AWAY, I KEEP HOLDIN' ON
Selene didn't understand why she had to have a partner for a mission as simple as this. It was fairly cut-and-dry, after all. Infiltrate building A, find room B, kill person C. There was nothing too complex about it, one of the fairly mundane tasks that she was given now a days. She would be perfectly fine by herself. The ghost prided herself on being self-reliant. After all, having to drag around another person for a job of this nature was just a hassle. And she hated being slowed down.
Letting out an irritated sigh, the woman used her arm as a stand, chin resting in her open palm as she cupped her cheek. Selene's gaze was plain, dulled as she stared at the rather tall building in front of her. She had been stalking the target for some time now, a man by the name of Jose Quinteves, leader of an enviromental protection agency or something like that. Some kind of Rising Star within the Republic's ranks. Parallax caught wind of his rapidly expanding popularity and decided to just crush the bug before he became a virus. According to his typical schedule, he'd be in his office now.
Two guards outside the door, two inside the room, and a handful of others patrolling various strategic hallways. The men would check in via radio once every five minutes, and if any single one missed their assigned times then Jose was taken into the Safe Room. The room was impervious to melting heat, warping cold, and impossible to phase through. So it was detrimental to get in and out within those precious few minutes. The security system was guarded by several various Porygon and Porygon-2, however her Prime has proven to be capable of eliminating larger obstacles.
So now all Selene could do was wait for her partner to show up and hopefully not ruin everything. Oh, how she hated it when the plans she so meticulously put together were tossed out the window by some stupid mistake. This is why she preferred to work alone. There was a reason why Parallax was so hesitant on putting her on teams. Anyone who failed Selene or made any outlandish mistakes tended to have... accidents.
