she used to be proud, arrogant, and haughty, a true heiress in every regard.[break][break]
now, platinum's more of a quiet intellectual. she spends her time thrown into her work, working hard to achieve the best results. not the most talkative, she prefers the company of test tubes and paperwork to people, only really socializing as is necessary for the company. a lot of that is because of the fact platinum nurses the quite the temper, and tends to lash out at people. she's deeply invested into ph genetics, and everything else at this point is kind of trivial, especially since she's doing work for the greater good. to the public eye, though, she's calm, polite, and confident, the perfect ceo. it's mostly a farce, but no one needs to know that she's breaking down inside.

platinum was the perfect berlitz, courtesy of a wonderful upbringing. she was proud, haughty, arrogrant, and set off on her customary journey to make a family artifact. ending up with the wrong bodyguards, she went on a long trip that had her obtaining gym badges, contest ribbons, thwarting evil and saving a couple universes. most of all, she made friends, of the real variety, which platinum had never really had before. of course, that was a while ago. she stopped talking to them, diving into her studies and other isolating things.[break][break]

eventually, platinum found her passion in life. genetics. with a bit of capital from her father, she founded ph genetics, a company devoted to the research, development, and implementation of products to change or enhance humans, pokemon, and gijinkas. originally, it was more of a pet project to pass the time, but soon she realised that people were actually interested in their products and that it could do some good for human-gijinka relations. the company grew rapidly, in reach, personnel, and profit, and became a major headline in the region. there was controversy, definitely, about whether turning humans into gijinkas was even ethical, how the gijinkas felt about such a thing, whether the dna being sourced was taken from consenting pokemon. it was pr mess, and platinum worked herself into the ground trying to solve the problems. eventually, she did, after about a hundred sleepless nights and too much shouting.[break][break]

the next couple years passed in relative prosperity, with ph genetics getting bigger, better, and even becoming one of the three members of parallax alongside the release of a counter-serum, to turn artificial gijinkas back into humans. no one saw much of platinum around the time the deal was being eked out that got ph genetics to join parallax, but as soon as the deal was made she was a loud and vocal promoter of it. parallax was the right thing to do for the region, she told people, and they began to believe her. they flocked to ph genetics and parallax, and soon there was a whole city under its control. she can't support the complete ownership of a city by private companies, though. this latest turn of events has her wary of the large deal she's contractually obligated to carry out, and brought the hundreds of workers of her company into. they're not allowed to sever ties with parallax for at least ten years, and platinum barely has control over ph genetics. what's even more worrying, though, is the fact that she's stuck in a political war that she didn't want. all she wanted to do was research.
