Green gets a Charmander from his Grandpa then meets Red and fights him. Green still remembers that easy win against Red with much happiness, if only things were still that easy. Later on they have their Pokemon accidentally switch and trade, during this time Machamp evolves. They then fight team Rocket, with this Girl they picked up (who is totally not cool enough to hang with I, Green Oak). They fight they Elite Four after Green trains a Cinnamon Roll to become a great trainer who raises her abilities with her power levels, for some reason that blockhead Red got himself captured. They twiddle their thumbs as some nerds from Johto get into some trouble with these masked clowns or something, except for Green who goes out and becomes a cool Gym Leader of Viridian City. Things were going fine in the life of Gym Leader Green until he decides to go on a vacation with that Girl and the blockhead. Charizard gets a super awesome move called Blast Burn, while that guys Venusaur gets Frenzy Plant, less hot, needs more spice Red. After Green gets heated and does some cool stuff, like defeating an AI with Porygon, since no one messes with Gramps.

Then Sird turns the entire gang into stone, and while Green enjoys the peace and quiet, he still isn’t crazy about being next to Red for so long. After being restored to a non-stone human by Emerald, Green helps defeat the monstrous Kyogre and they celebrate their victory with a Battle Dome tournament, in which Green swears on his relationship with that mischievous Blue, that he totally beat Red.

Green masters the art of Mega Evolution over time under the tutelage of Gurkinn, but keeps doing an absolutely amazing job of being a Gym Leader. Green eventually goes to Kalos to see how the region is doing and the two legendaries are just doing a God-awful job of protecting the region, during Hoenn and during this adventure Green just thought to himself about how much he missed the usefulness of the elemental birbs. Later on during an encounter with Zygarde Green reunites with Blaine and together with X and a Mega-Evolved Mewtwo they’re able to defeat the mighty legendary.

“So Red, you’re sure we’re going to be fine going to this Lyeant place or whatever right?” his best friend looks at him and simply replies with a “...”. Green shakes his head and stares at the ground, the entire time leading up to the Kanto Dex Holders leaving to the war-torn region Red seemed to be silent. Green didn’t feel as if the situation was a normal interaction between them and wondered if he had done something wrong. Green noted to himself that he should probably tell Yellow about this drastically changed Red, maybe his former student could get the silent protagonist to talk again. Green looked out upon the sea and thought to himself, “First item of business is finding a place to stay in Eirenhyre City and contact Yellow, and that… girl. Maybe next I’ll contact some local Gym Leaders and see their opinions on rebuilding.” With that Green sat back and waited to reach his destination
