TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!

It was a pretty nice day out, the sun was shining bright and while there was a light chill in the air it certainly was not all that bad. Gracie took a deep breath of the air and gave a sigh, sitting at a local park bench as she watched Meela running around with the others. All of her Pokemon, save for the young Chimchar, were older or more mature in some way. Haku and Striker had been with Gracie since she was very young while Frey had been a random capture a couple years behind the birds. Serenity came as a neglect case, Gracie taking her in as a Feebas and Blade had been a situation where he simply wasn't well received by his previous trainer and had been dumped into the wild where Gracie stumbled across him when he was a much more wild and even aggressive young Grovyle.
So, what's eating at you? A voice rang into Gracie's mind, her Noctowl sitting on her shoulder and starting at her. She smiled, reaching up to scratch at his head affectionately. I'm fine, just kind of thinking about my new deadline. She thought, knowing the owl could pick up her thoughts. It was part of how she was able to get herself translated to people instead of having to write or sign constantly. Though it did kind of freak people out at times, learning they were being spoken to by a wise-cracking owl instead of Gracie herself, especially when Haku had a tendency to sometimes mess with her words a bit, under guise of making them more "grand" and "appealing" to the strangers.
Gracie heard a low cry from Serenity, seeing Meela suddenly dashing off wildly while hooting happily. Seems the young Chimchar had a sudden wind, meaning they had to go get her. Frey and Serenity were quick to be up and following the swift little primate while Gracie stood and jogged after them, Haku keeping to her shoulder as usual. Although it would seem Meela had other places as suddenly she took a flying leap right onto a stranger, attempting to perch herself on his shoulder. Meela! Get back here now! Haku's voice rang out, projected this time in a manner as if he was actually speaking publicly. Gracie finally caught up, giving an apologetic bow to the young man. Sorry about that, we'll be taking back our monkey. Haku spoke out to the man, Gracie ushering for Meela to come to her. Though Meela seemed more intent on sticking to the stranger, giving him a small grin. Gracie gave a sigh.

There was time, he could recall, when places like this had been bountiful, rather than a rarity. The routes between towns and landmarks, despite being obviously maintained by the Association and their workers, were more or less places of free reign for Pokemon, nearly untouched by the footprint of industrialization. Lyeant was a younger region than most, despite having its claim to fame for decades longer than he'd made his travels here, and the call of the wild ring all the truer outside of Neurift and Eirenhyre and every other city for it. How vividly he could remember letting his Pokemon run loose: playing tag between towns, searching for monsters in the old forest, (reluctantly) helping Crystal in her No Man's Caverns-located research, almost as though they'd happened just earlier that week. How hard it was, then, to tell himself that they were gone: the fields where they'd run, the forests they'd found monsters in, the caverns where Diglett had been captured and exampled. Gone. Rubble, burn scars, evaporated like water into the air they breathed. The only cities left – as far as anyone could be certain, that was – were Irisia, Veherna, and the one that he stood in now, a rebel before the government, an angry voice many tried not to hear. The only places that resembled what once was before Imum were contained within the cities, mockeries, almost, of what he'd seen before. Not that he didn't appreciate the effort, that was. Parks were a welcomed luxury even before the apocalypse tried to and almost succeeded in its strike, continued to be one to this day, but that didn't necessarily make a person glad when it was their only option to let their Pokemon run loose in a place that looked only partly like their original home. It was like making a child watch their childhood home get burned down, only to let them run loose in an empty apartment and think that there wouldn't be any hard feelings. But of course there were. And who could blame a person for having them?
In the moment, though, Gold's Pokemon didn't seem the mind the open area laid out around them. Had there been less people about and fewer things to possibly destroy in a moment of recklessness, he may have even taken the opportunity to brush up on his battle skills (although, the drawback to that was that there would be no one to compliment him on his “expert skills” if he only trained in secret). Peace time technically reigned, but he knew better than anyone how quickly sunny skies could be dyed gray with storm clouds... and that was without the Republic and Parallax trying to get at each others throats in any way that wasn't plainly obvious. It always paid to be prepared for a fight. More than that, though, it paid to be tough enough to impress. Especially the girls.
While most trainers in the area tried to keep they and their Pokemon more or less to themselves, Exbo and Aibo had no issue inviting some of the other creatures into their game of... er... in hindsight, the Dex Holder wasn't even sure what to label it as, but it was certainly something. As laid back and all-consuming as their trainer – in a good way, of course! It wasn't exactly out of their element to “bother” other's parties for the sake of more company, although he'd be lying if he expected something along a similar vein happening to himself. At the feeling of tiny hands and feet clamoring up his pants and backpack, he almost didn't react, mind registering it as Aibo up to his old habits of clamoring up his backside to get the best seat in the house: a perch right on its trainer's shoulder. There were just two problems. For one, Aibo was an Ambipom, now, not an Aipom, far too large to sit on his shoulder without undoubtedly crushing him. For another, small or large, Aibo was in front of him, not behind – so what...? Meela! Get back here now! came the cry of a voice he didn't recognize, calling to a Pokemon he did not recognize, but from a glance that drifted between the trainer and Pokemon rushing his way and the little monkey that grinned cheekily (all too similar to the smile that lit up on his own face at the sight of it), it was pretty easy to guess who “Meela” was and why someone was calling out. But there was something not quite right about that, too. The voice hadn't sounded right, not like something heard with the ear.
Sorry about that, we'll be taking back our monkey.
A promise that could certainly be upheld, maybe, but the monkey in question didn't seem all too keen about leaving its place on his shoulder. “Hey, it's no problem -” Gold started nonchalantly, eyeing first the Pokemon, and then their trainer last. Their trainer who happened to be a really cute girl. “- especially not when the apology's coming from a cute girl like you.” Something wasn't adding up – the voice that had spoke was definitely male, and it almost sounded like it was being projected into his mind – but all efforts that would have gone toward trying to sleuth out the reason for that were lost, buried beneath the hypothetical “doki doki”s this poor girl put him through just by being here. “Hey, you here alone? Mind a little company? I can promise that it ain't from just any ol' boring guy.”

Gracie felt a bit relieved that the man wasn't too upset about Meela, easing up a tad. Although suddenly his next words began to cause the young woman to tense a bit, feeling her face flush red at being called cute. This wasn't exactly something she had said to her often and it put her in a nervous state. Haku meanwhile didn't seem to help as he played along. Well of course she's not alone, she has us! Although by all means, show her what a real man can do. Haku told the man, the last part being put in a very suggestive manner. At that point Gracie may as well have had stream rolling from her head if that were at all possible for humans. She looked down to the ground nervously, not too keen on making any eye contact at this rate.
Meela finally hopped down, her interest now in the nearby Ambipom. She bounded over, standing and looking up at the other primate with a big smile and made a few choice words, asking to play some games. The rest of Gracie's team were now gathering nearby and sticking around, except for Blade who kept to his resting place and watched from afar. Although Serenity, Striker and Frey all kept close to Gracie while the large Luxray eyed the young man suspiciously.
The lovely young maiden is Gracie. I, her grand and elegant translator, Haku. The Luxray is Frey, Serenity is the Milotic, my brother is Striker the Pidgeot over there and finally you know Meela. Haku gave a brief introduction of each member. The owl giving a small bow afterward, while Gracie forced herself to look up, slap on a smile and wave meekly.

Fortune smiled on him long enough to show that the young woman in question wasn't the sort to get in a huff over a single nonchalant compliment being thrown her way – the type, unfortunately, that he tended to run into – but rather the shy sort, staining red and averting her gaze. Even cuter. Maybe if he was lucky, he'd actually score a date this time, rather than being made a fool in front of ev- okay, in hindsight, scratch that. He was never made a fool. Never. Nope. And he'd totally get the date, because who didn't want to go out for a bite to eat with a guy like him? No one, that was who. Well, of course she's not alone. She has us! came the voice again, and this time, he was certain it wasn't coming from the girl he thought he'd been speaking to. For one thing, her lips never moved. For another, that voice was definitely too masculine to belong to any female. Most importantly, however, it was being projected into his mind: words understood but not heard, bypassing entirely his ear drum. It was almost as though someone else was speaking for her, though he couldn't imagine who. Couldn't, that was, until the “us” that was spoken of became too apparent for even he and his sometimes oblivious ways to possibly misunderstand. The “us” was her Pokemon, quite a number of them, all sat at varying distances from their trainer, or sat perched on her shoulder in the case of the Noctowl, and from the way the word spoke and the way the bird's head moved about, eyes on him as person conversing would have looked, it was safe to draw the assumption that it was the one communicating with him, not the trainer it sat on. Although, by all means, show her what a real man can do. Was that an attempt at – okay, wow, this was definitely beyond the boundary of new territory to him. He'd only ever heard of telepathic Pokemon, and only ever in passing, so to meet one up close (much less one that seemed more keen to play wing man than any human being he had ever come in contact with) was a touch disconcerting – but only a touch. More than anything, it was, for lack of a better phrase, really cool. Anyone else in his position and mindset may have gushed, but Gold was not the sort of person to let people know he'd been caught off guard. “You don't have to tell me twice,” he said instead, teeth flashing in a toothy grin.
He leant the flying-type Pokemon half of his attention as he ran through introductions – Gracie the girl, Haku the Noctowl, frey the Luxray, Serenity the Milotic, Striker the Pidgeot, Meela the Chimchar – focusing more on the last name in the list as the one bearing it disembarked from his own shoulder and took up interest in his Ambipom, instead. Names were easy to catalog into memory, even if he didn't appear to be listening to a word of them; watching two Pokemon strangers to each other, getting along right off the bat was more interesting in his eyes. Humans could stand to learn a thing or two from Pocket Monsters like these; even in places like these, there were too many people all too quick to give a could shoulder to another simply based on the principal that they didn't know one another. Fortunately, the company he'd found here didn't seem to be the same, and the two primate-like Pokemon went about playing a new game entirely, Typhlosion tagging along upon invitation.
“Aibo -” he said, pointing to each Pokemon respectively, “- and Exbo. The others are takin' it easy in their PokeBalls. As for me...” The Dex Holder folded his arms and puffed out his chest, nose tilted high and confidence oozing out of every pore. “Gold Levine of New Bark Town. But you might know me better as one of Oak's famous Dex Holders. Pleasure to meet you.” Introductions: squared away. Now, to get to the heart of matters. “So – Haku and Gracie, right? - you guys got any plans? I'd hate to tear those three apart now, but I'm pretty sure I was told to 'show you what a real man can do'. Can't go back on a promise, now, can I?”
[attr="class","goldenlyrics2"]WHO ELECTED YOU BIGGER THAN LIFE, MUCH BIGGER THAN LIFE?
Gracie did her best to really keep her gaze held on the man, who had a familiar look to him but she couldn't exactly recall that well. But that killer smile ended up setting her heart fluttering. She had to breathe, calm herself and relax more. Taking a couple deep, slow breaths, she did her best to settle down more. At least Haku could do the talking, since it just kind of was easier. While yes he could embarrass her a bit, she was relieved he wasn't too wild about it for the time being anyway. She glanced over toward the Pokemon as they ran off and played for a bit, but then attention was slipped back to the man when more words came from him.
He introduced his Pokemon as Aibo and Exbo, Gracie glancing toward each of them in turn before she snapped back to the man. At the honey glazed words she blushed pretty clearly, but then came the actual introduction. Wait, Gold?! No wonder he seemed familiar! Sure she was a bit of a shut-in, but not that much of one that she didn't know about the dex holders. At that point her gaze took on a different turn, one that held more amazement and respect than anxiety and skittishness. Although it then became a tad more awkward when suddenly they were invited to head out somewhere, thanks to Haku's prior words...
Haku though was quick to take the lead. Why, of course we'd be down to join you! Not like we had much else to do, or we wouldn't have been here. He mentioned, and Gracie really hated the fact that he was absolutely correct. With a sigh, she ended up recalling what Pokemon she could that were in range, the others coming over to also return while Haku was the only one she kept out. So, have anywhere you were thinking of, Lover Boy? Haku asked of Gold, sounding a bit entertained. This was going to be interesting, and Gracie needed some social time, so it was definitely well worth setting her up for this.
