TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!

As Selina woke up in the morning, Kerra was sitting next to her, holding her phone, which was ringing. Once she managed to get the phone away from Kerra, she answered it. The person calling was her boss, asking her to come in on her day off. Begrudgingly, she got ready for the day, picked up Kerra, and started walking to the local Pokémart. The weather wasn't too bad, all things considered. If anything, it was a nice day out. As Selina showed up at the Pokémart, she unlocked the door, and made her way to the break room. Once she had fed Kerra, as well as herself, Selina walked back out to the store front, and got everything ready before settling in behind the check stand.

[attr="class","coldasicepost"][attr="class","coldscroll"] It had been the most hectic morning in recent memory. Well, besides the day the War had started at least, and it had all started when an alert had come in for a high-priority mission from the Union. As the case had been since the War, there was no shortage of work for a Pokemon Ranger in Lyeant, much less one of the world's twelve Top Rangers. This time it had been an enraged Rhydon threatening one of the major trade routes between Irisia and Eirenhyre- closer to Eirenhyre this time, which had been a bit of a change. Things had been going smoothly up until a few unwelcome guests showed up. A Steelix and an Ariados to be exact, which complicated things to an extent Kiara wasn't in any way expecting. It wasn't that she'd never been in such tight situations- she was a Top Ranger, such odds were generally what she was meant to excel in, it was the fact that all three of them had been to the point of animosity that made it extremely difficult to calm them down.[break][break]
Of course, getting hit with the Ariados's Poison Sting probably didn't help. Dodging potentially fatal attacks was never a good idea while one was poisoned, and so she'd been immensely grateful when Tenchi had sent the Steelix flying into the Ariados with a well-placed, and rather powerful Psychic. [break][break]
Fast forward an hour or so, and the still-poisoned Latias was standing in a Pokemart in Eirenhyre placing a bag full of Antidotes and Hi-Potions on a counter, only barely kept standing by her Partner Pokemon standing on the ground to her right. She looked like hell, and she felt far worse. Thankfully these worked for her as a Gijinka, though if she had any choice she would much rather drop a few berries down her throat and be done with it. Regardless, she'd probably end up calling in for a day off so she could properly recover from the incident... as well as give a few complaints about the lack of further intel, though there wasn't much anyone could've done to really predict that.

As the customer entered the Pokémart, a bell would ring, alerting Selina to her presence. As Selina looked over towards the customer, she said the same thing that all clerks are trained to say. "Welcome to Pokémart, how can I help you?" Watching the woman, Selina couldn't help but take note of her form, her curves, and most of all, her eyes. However, the woman's health didn't seem to be so good at the moment. "What happened to you? Are you hurt?" As the woman set the bag on the counter, Kerra would walk out from the break room and brush against her legs while purring. "Tell you what. These are on the house, but we should probably get you to a hospital. You don't look so hot."
Stepping out from behind the counter, Selina took off her apron, and closed out the check stand. "Come on, now, we really should get you to a doctor." Selina had never heard of a Gijinka before, so she wouldn't have had any way to know that one was standing right in front of her. "Oh, by the way, My name is Selina. What would your name be?" As Selina continued to worry and fret over the woman, Kerra hopped up onto the counter, then up onto the woman's head. After a few moments, Kerra would lay down on the head of the poisoned woman, in hopes of making her feel better. "Aww, she likes you!" Selina found it a bit funny how easily Kerra approached people, as compared to herself.

[attr="class","coldasicepost"][attr="class","coldscroll"] Concern wasn't exactly something Kiara was used to being on the receiving end of, and considering she was still in uniform she really wasn't too terribly keen on showing up at a hospital... especially since she'd likely be referred to the nearest Pokecenter as some sort of sick joke once they realized what she was. Nevertheless, with a bit of a wave- though she was incredibly grateful for the fact she was managing to get the Antidotes and Hi-Potions for free, she made a slight attempt to wave away the woman's concerns. "Just got a bit too close to an Ariados is all," she stated softly. Thankfully her voice wasn't suffering too terribly from her ordeal, though the overtones in it that betrayed what she really was were a tad more prominent. The overtones themselves were pleasant, and had the rather unnatural effect of calming those who listened too intently. "I'll be fine, it's happened before." It wasn't exactly a lie, though the first time had been much, much worse. She'd gotten hit with Toxic on a mission back when she was an Area Ranger, and had ended up bedridden for a week because of it. That was, of course, back before she became a Gijinka, so there wasn't really any sort of cure except modern-day medicine and time.[break][break]
Which made her all the happier that Antidotes were a thing that worked on her. Tenchi tugged at her leg, just as concerned for her Ranger as the Pokemart clerk appeared to be. The momentary distraction meant Kiara almost didn't catch the question thrown at her. "Ah, my name is Kiara Chross," she responded, taking a deep breath to steady herself. And, really. The hospital visit won't be needed." Oh how she wished she was a Gijinka with Shed Skin. Levitate was fun and all, but when it came to ailments such as these she really wished she had the ability to just shrug them off. Though truthfully it did happen to do a slight bit for her health when the Pokemon seated itself atop her head. A Litten, even. Strange how she managed to draw Pokemon to her even while Poisoned. It was almost a concern in and of itself. [break][break]
Granted, considering she was Latias it made sense. Though she kind of wished she could share her own emotions rather easily, and she kind of figured that using her telepathy would be a little... unsettling. Though given much more time and she had a feeling this woman would start to sense that something was amiss.

"Well, if you won't let me take you to a hospital, would you settle for letting me walk you home? I mean, as resilient as you might think you are, you shouldn't try to do too much in your condition. I'll even carry your bags for you! Besides, once Kerra gets comfy, she doesn't like to get up for a while." As Selina spoke, she picked the bags up off the counter. She might look like the average woman, but growing up in Aria meant that she had to be strong in order to help out with projects and group activities.
"And to be honest, I don't really know anyone outside of work, so I was hoping that we could be friends, if it isn't too much trouble." Kerra, in the meantime, had changed the rhythm of her purring to something of a half-snoring purr. It meant that she was quite comfortable around Kiara, and that she could trust her. "I heard that it's good luck for a Litten to fall asleep on your head. Oh, that reminds me, where did you get those clothes? They look great on you." Selina couldn't help but admire Kiara's form once more after that comment. "Makes you look really cute."

[attr="class","coldasicepost"][attr="class","coldscroll"] The suggestion of being walked home almost made Kiara laugh. They were in Eirenhyre, for Arceus's sake. While it was true that she hadn't quite known this girl for much longer than a few minutes, it was still an almost amusing thought to be walked all the way back to her house in Firefly Springs. The journey by foot took longer than this girl was probably permitted to keep the store closed, and so Kiara simply smiled and shook her head. "My home is a little far from here," she stated. "It just happened that I was just outside of the city when I ran into that Ariados." [break][break]
The friend comment was what caught Kiara off guard. True, she was known to be rather likable and dependable no matter what may come, but besides Tenchi she really didn't have many she could call a friend. Truth be told, she was often spending much of her days doing missions, which made it hard to generally socialize unless Omricon had lost their HQ in Veherna for the millionth time in the year. Kiara cast her gaze down slightly with a slightly sad smile before perking back up, her gaze returning to Selina as the girl made the statement about the Litten and luck, and then proceeded to ask about the uniform. "Ah, this?" Kiara responded, moving so that her uniform was far easier to take a look at. "This is a Pokemon Ranger uniform. I've, uh... basically lived in it for the last two years now," Kiara cast her gaze sideways as she made the last comment, be it the embarrassment or the fact Selina had said she looked cute in it, her face ended up taking on a slightly pink tint, a bit of color on her otherwise rather pale face. True, there had been days that were far slower than others, and some that made it seem as though the Imum War never happened, but on nearly every other day she was caught up in her Ranger duties, so often that she ended up having to order extra uniforms just so she was always wearing a clean one. [break][break]
Friends... that word was stuck in her mind, and she couldn't seem to shake it. Memories surfaced at the forefront, of another being who looked remarkably like herself at the time, only where she herself had been red, he had been blue. Latios... where have you gone?

"Oh, well I can't have you marching that far in your condition. Oh, I know, you can stay with me until you get better! I mean, it's no trouble at all, and to be honest, it does get kinda lonely without someone to cook for, and take care of. I guess I'm just that sort of person. Oh, that reminds me, what sort of food do you like? I might be able to make it, and I can feed your Pokémon while I'm at it, plus, Kerra could use some company."
While all of this was being said, Kerra, the Litten, continued slumbering atop Kiara's head, and faintly snored every so often. Meanwhile, Selina's heart was practically jumping out of her chest with how rapidly it was beating as she continued to admire Kiara.
"I mean, I'm not trying to be forceful, here, it's just that I don't want you to get hurt again. I had a sister that looked kind of like you. But, during the war, my hometown, my family, everyone and everything that I cared about just disappeared. If anyone else did survive, i wouldn't know. So, if it wouldn't be too much of a burden to you, would you let me take care of you, just for a few days?"
Selina now looked somewhat downcast. Given what she had just revealed about herself, it shouldn't have been difficult to imagine why. For a few moments, Selina was back to that day, the day that she had come back home to find her town in ruins. The day that she had to bury every previously living member of her family. The small memorial that only she attended. The even smaller memorial that she held in her apartment each year on the anniversary of that day. Come to think of it, today was one of them.

[attr="class","coldasicenbox"]Selina Silver[break][break][break]woo, post.
[attr="class","coldasicepost"][attr="class","coldscroll"] Something told her that she didn't really have much of a choice in the matter currently. Not that she'd be making any different one right now all things considered. She was far too weak right now to be making any long treks, and judging by the messages Tenchi was sending her the Meowstic was in agreeance as well. Kiara sighed, relenting to the woman as well as her own Pokemon as she nodded slowly. "Mm. I suppose that's fine, if it isn't too much trouble," she said, calm eyes watching Selina intently as she listened to the rest of what the girl said. Looked like her sister? Kiara wasn't too entirely sure of that, seeing as how the body she inhabited now had been her's for its- no, her entire lifespan. She was beginning to have trouble keeping the Kiara and Latias components of herself separate, especially since it seemed as though it was always her own voice echoing around inside her head, even when she knew that it belonged to the legendary spirit within her.[break][break]
"I've heard that a lot of people vanished during the war. Thankfully my family is still in Mossdeep City, as far as I know. I haven't gone to visit them lately, what with helping the wild Pokemon deal with the aftermath of it all." The fact that so much of the region had been decimated hadn't helped in the slightest, and wild Pokemon were always more prone to aggravate when something was amiss in the world around them. The Union had expected them to calm down at this point, but she could still sense so much fear in them.[break][break]
Almost as if it wasn't over just yet... But for the life of her Kiara couldn't figure out why that would be.
