TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

we're officially re-opened! come check out our event, the pokeathlon forever to enjoy some fresh restart activities. let leap know if there are any skin bugs, and they'll be sorted out accordingly!
Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!
tbe: take two! is inspired by, but not associated with nintendo's pokemon franchise. the current skin was created by pharaoh leap using font icons primarily from ion icons and fonts from google fonts. banner art by vav of pixiv. characters, with the exception of canons from the manga, belong to the members who write them, and all posts and templates on site are credited to their respective authors and artists. we claim nothing that is not ours.

[attr="class","mouths1"]”Yoooo, so there’s practice tomorrow, too right?” ”Yup-yup~!” ”Riiight after school~?” ”Uh-huh~. Meet in the dance room as usual~.” ”Roger-dodger~! See ya then~.”
With those words, a particular, younger boy gave a wave to another friend of his as they parted ways; each departing off for different directions along the sidewalk as they ventured off and away from their high school campus for the day. The blonde himself found a lingering smile upon his lips as he strode off; peering after his friend for but a minute or two before beginning to take his mp3 player and earbuds out. Unraveling the wires within a rather swift and instinctive manner, he guided his hands down to the base of the buds before plugging it into the earphone jack of the music device itself; going on to shift the device on before selecting a song just as quickly and slipping it into his pocket. Given that he allowed a few moments to pass soon after selecting the song, he would have adjusted his bags - both school bag and dance duffle bag alike - upon his shoulders for sake of comfort before slipping both of the earbuds within his ears.
Amber voids of his glanced around the clearing as he wove accordingly through the other students that day; initially taking his common path back home and through the city, though that day, he would take a temporary detour and difference within his way back. That day, he let his father know that he’d be visiting somewhere to catch up on his studies and the like; a cafe, specifically. The man was lenient, and so long as he knew beforehand, he was more or less fine with him venturing out and about on his own, as well as coming back home in a timely manner.
After all, that’s how things had been for the past seven years or so.
So, Tatsuya Ryusaki continued his way down the streets of Eirenhyre; a faint and occasional bounce within his step as the songs cycled through his ears. His head nodded in tune to the respective melodies playing into his focus, and as time went on, he found himself at the entrance of the very cafe that he initially intended to enter. After holding the door open for a couple of other passerbys that both entered and exited the establishment - and acknowledging the thanks that they gave him for the gesture, if there was any at all - he took care to begin stepping over in order to slip inside himself.

[attr="class","maind"][attr="class","umad"]Ishini sighed, leaning back in her seat as she turned her gaze out the window beside her, hands wrapped around the warm cup that rested on the table in front of her as her amber eyes surveyed the scenery on the other side of the glass. Her meeting with Bai still bounced around in her head, throwing thoughts across her skull whether she wanted it to or not. She just couldn't figure out what to do now. It wasn't as though she didn't want to see them- she wanted it more than anything...
She just didn't think she was worth their time anymore. After all, what sort of person would just readily accept her presence after all she'd done? She knew Corvou wouldn't, and if Tatsu had grown up to be anything like his father then she doubted the younger male would've been anywhere close to pleased to see her. The fresh scars on her arms burned with the pain of healing, and Ishi sighed once more. Her gaze turned to the bandages wrapped around each arm, covering up the various slash marks that she'd suffered as wounds during the last scuffle she'd managed to get herself into. She hadn't the foggiest idea what she was even doing in Lyeant anymore. What was it she wanted from this place? What was it she hoped to gain from being here?
A swift death? Ha. Fat chance of that. Even if she did manage to convince her body to just give up, there was no guarantee that whoever decided to end her would do so quickly. She shook her head. No. Thinking like that was what had got her into the situation she was currently in... even still, a part of her believed even now that death was a preferable alternative to whatever hell awaited her with her former family.
And she used former because she didn't think they thought of her as such anymore.
After all she'd done, why would they?

[attr="class","mouths1"]Now, the routine in, out, and around the cafe was more or less a normal one. Although he only came around every so often, ‘every so often’ in itself still also translated to ‘fairly often’, what with the amount of times that he visited both on his own, as well as with friends, and even his father on occasion, as well. Thus, once he found himself within the bounds of the establishment itself, scuttled through the line as it ticked forward, and finally found himself at the front of the line, he greeted the person at the register with a familiar greeting and smile alike; only going through so much as to confirm the memorized order that the person themselves proposed through him as a confirmation of the thing that he always purchased, over anything and everything else. Accordingly, the boy himself merely flashed them a smile and a nod within said confirmation before being alerted of the standard total for the meal, and with a card at the ready, he held it out for them to take and finalize the transaction with. After signing a small paper to label his own confirmation of purchase, he took his receipt and order number alike before setting off to find a free table for himself.
Unbeknownst to him, he actually passed right by the table of a certain, amber eyed someone, but by the time that he’d done so, he already found himself occupied with his phone after it buzzed and rang once or twice with a couple of incoming texts. From his father, specifically. They hadn’t been messages asking him where he was, or anything like that, though. If anything, they were just questions confirming how long he’d be out, and questions that he didn’t mind answering accordingly and in a timely manner all the same. After all; it wasn’t like he was trying to lie or anything of the sort. He wasn’t lying. Wasn’t hiding where he was, or why he was out. What he had told his father earlier within the last day or two was the truth, and still remained the truth. So...again. He didn’t mind ensuring his father of his intentions.
When he did, he took care to look away from the screen for but a moment or two in order to slip the number card that he was given into the stand of the unoccupied table that he scoped out little more than a minute or two earlier; setting his phone down on the tabletop afterwards, and slipping his back down and onto one side of the booth that he himself would sit upon afterwards. With a quiet sigh, he plucked the base of his earbuds out of the jack of his mp3 player after turning the device off; going on to plug it into the jack of his laptop after pulling it out and setting it down on the table itself. Once he turned it on and pulled a music program to continue his tunes, he turned to pull a couple of textbooks, folders, and the standard writing utensils out of his bag. Pencils. Pens. Erasers. The norm.
He flipped his papers and folders to the pages that he needed, and with a final confirmation of his song choice, went on to minimize the program before getting to work. The notion in itself revealed his desktop wallpaper.
The picture of choice? ...A family photo, by the looks of it. Not of his biological family, though. There were four people in total. Himself. A tinier child; no more than a few years old. ...And then a jade eyed man and an auburn eyed woman to join them.
A memento, of sorts.

[attr="class","maind"][attr="class","umad"]Just when she thought that had moved her mind from the topic of her lost family, she caught sight of the laptop background at the table in front of her. She choked back a sob, her left hand firing up to cover her mouth so that the sound didn't reach the kid's ears. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes, and she closed them tightly. This, of course, only squeezed them out. She bit her bottom lip, already keenly aware of how badly she was trembling. Maybe, just maybe, if she didn't make anymore sounds he wouldn't notice her? Wouldn't notice the ghost from his past sitting right behind him, in the same outfit she had worn the day that photo had been taken.
She looked down at her drink, at the liquid still within before lifting it up and downing the rest of it at once. She wanted to go, to leave, but at the same time she couldn't get herself to move. Not when this connection to her past was sitting so close to her. So she just sort of watched him for a bit, not too closely, but just enough that it wouldn't take her too long to remember who he was.

[attr="class","mouths1"]For a good while, the boy remained more or less oblivious and unknowing to that had been occurring behind him; only paying the majority of his attention to the work laid out before him, and - on occasion - to the foods and drink that had been delivered his way and exchanged for the number card that he was given when they were all ready. A quick smile and word of thanks had been delivered to the server as he began to passively nibble and whittle down the food that he had ordered in between papers and the like; idly and commonly holding either a spoon or a cup to his lips to eat or sip a beverage within one hand as the remaining scribbled letters and notes down onto whatever assignment that he needed to complete. After a good amount of time, however - and about half of his plate gone, much to his surprise - he found himself in need of another refill. He seemed whatever small remainder lingered within the cup before absentmindedly rattling the ice within the containment; a gesture of thought as he mulled over a few more questions listed within the current worksheet before breathing a sigh.
He decided to think more on it while he got a refill, seeing as though they had installed a couple of drink fountains for customers to visit on their own volition for sake of taking more whenever they wanted to after purchases. With a quiet sigh, he plucked his earbuds from his ears for the moment as he backed his chair up a faint bit in order to slip out; taking his cup with him as he stood up. His free hand smoothed his clothes down as he turned heel with the intention of starting for the fountains afar, though that time around, he found himself freezing almost immediately after doing so after his gaze wandered for but a split second. They hadn’t widened by any means, though the confusion and disbelief had been clear within that amber gaze of his as he found himself staring at the woman who sat just a short ways away from him. He caught sight of her, as well as her mannerisms; internally growing increasingly confused and concerned - among several other emotions - upon seeing her general look. By then, she may have been looking down at her own drink, but she still had his full, undivided attention.
And it was that exact attention that prompted him to give a disbelieving, one worded call over the small distance between them:
”...Mom...?”

[attr="class","dark"]My Ghost Where'd You Go? I Can't Find You In the Body Sleeping Next To Me
[attr="class","maind"][attr="class","umad"]To say she froze was an understatement. If words were weapons, that single one would've been the equivalent of dropping a nuclear warhead into her lap. Ishi's gaze widened as the voice registered, the word crossing the distance in the same moment her own amber gaze snapped to met his. There was a swirl of emotions in her eyes. Fear, regret... hope, and the unconditional love that came with being a mother. She managed something of a weak smile as the pieces clicked into place. They really do grow up quickly, she thought, turning her gaze up to meet his fully. She was silent for a moment before speaking, just the faintest waver in her voice.
"Hey, Tatsu." She said softly. The pain in her chest was almost dagger-like, as though someone was literally pulling at her heartstrings. She'd missed so much, hadn't she? She cursed herself for her past foolishness, for being weak enough to let her emotions control her as they had. Then again, a part of her also supposed it was inevitable. Corvou had always been the strong one between them, and she could see a deal of that in the younger male standing a short distance away from her.
She couldn't keep the tears from showing, not from him. She'd hated herself for leaving Corvou as she had, yes, but what had always torn her up the most was what such an act might have done to her kids. She couldn't bring herself to stand, to move. She kept her distance, at least physically. She didn't have much place anymore to simply embrace him now did she? Her mind was already conjuring up so many ways this could end, none of them particularly pleasant.
Much like her life, to be honest.

[attr="class","mouths1"]There. Those two words alone were the finalized triggers that caused his eyes to widen as the full realization registered within his mind. The scaled, plated tail of draconian ties swayed behind him gently before falling motionless once more; amber voids of his continuously lingering upon the other’s form within a degree of disbelief all the while. ...That was, until he caught wind of the tears, at least. From then on, the disbelief had lingered, of course- though despite the circumstances, he found himself growing a little bit more concerned. ...Mostly because of the fact that the area was public, and that there were many others around to potentially witness if enough of a scene was produced.
So, he only panicked for a brief moment before more or less acting on the fly.
He took a step backwards to turn around- though it was only to place his own cup back upon the table that he took for himself. He reached over within a quick motion to grab a couple of napkins from the smaller dispenser secured upon the surface while he was there, as well; shifting upon his heels to face her general direction once more. Weaving around one or two people who intervened within his path, he stepped back over - and a little bit closer than he had stood prior - before slipping over within the seat across from her within a rather smooth and swift manner despite the tone of the moment.
”Er...here,” he started off while handing her the napkins, subtly feeling the awkwardness dwell upon him soon after he sat down. Nevertheless, however, he merely shifted within his seat for a split second or so - more so to scoot himself closer to the table - and cast a quick glance around to see whether or not others were looking before he peered back over at her. ”I-... Er… Take a moment if you need it,” he continued onwards, ”but-... ...What-... What’re you doing here…? ...Why’re you in Lyeant…?”

[attr="class","dark"]My Ghost Where'd You Go? I Can't Find You In the Body Sleeping Next To Me
[attr="class","maind"][attr="class","umad"]Why was she in Lyeant? Ishi almost laughed. That was a question with an answer far too dark for her to be truthful about.
She'd come here to die.
She did take a moment, however, wiping her eyes dry before setting her hands down in front of her. She stared down at them, finding the words to say before speaking after a few moments. "I just sort of ended up here," she admitted. It wasn't wrong. She'd spent some time in Sinnoh before winding up in Lyeant. Not even she fully knew how or why she'd decided to come to this ravaged region, but she had. To an extent, it had become something of a home for her now. She looked over at him, inspecting him for a moment before letting out a sigh and shaking her head. "Gods you've grown," she said, just a hint of sorrow in her voice. "How's school been?" Change of topic, something a little more normal. Something to make it seem that there was at least some way to potentially fix all that she'd ruined, even if her mind scoffed at her for trying.
It was an honest question, however. She did wish to know how her son was faring. She'd never been the greatest student, in fact she'd almost gotten kicked out of her high school three times on account of constantly beating the crap out of anyone who looked at her funny. Ah, those were the days. She'd known the principal on a first-name basis, and despite all of her violent mishaps the two of them had ended up becoming quite the unlikely pair of friends. She had spent way too many lunch periods in his office with him and something bought from the fast food joint a couple blocks down.
Strange, how things worked out. Here she was, former gang member, hot-headed she-demon with a mean streak a mile wide, talking to the son she hadn't seen in years. All of her constantly getting into fights had instilled a feeling of youth in her, but the sight of the kid across the table from her was making her feel old. Guess she knew what her own mother had gone through.

[attr="class","mouths1"]Tatsuya nodded within a simple response to the initial remark that he was given, though upon hearing the latter statements and inquiries, he blinked quietly while allowing the words themselves to register. His tail swayed softly behind him before he shook his head and rubbed the back of his neck with a soft, awkward smile while chuckling gently all the while. ”Mmn… You say that like it’s been, like...more than half my life since you last saw me, or something,” he mused aloud at first. The hand that he held against his neck eventually lifted upwards; slipping its fingers within his hair and ruffling it faintly as he scratched his head in thought. ”It’s only been, like...a year or so. Two, tops~. ...I doubt I look that different~.”
Following those statements had been another, shorter bout of silence; one that had been quicker to end that time around as the boy breathed out a low, thoughtful sigh while leaning back in his seat. Yet again, his tail have a gentle twitch behind him as he crossed his legs, shrugging. ”...School’s been fine, though, I guess,” he eventually continued on, quirking his lip. ”Uh...I’m in my first year of high school, now, so...that’s a thing? Joined the dance team, too, so that’s keeping me busy, but I’ve been keeping up with my studies.” He paused while thinking a bit more; amber voids of his narrowing slightly as he hummed pensively and tapped his foot within a similar manner. ”Er… And...when I have free time, or when I’m looking in between assignments and events and stuff, I just help out with looking after Ryusei, and stuff.
