ABOUT THE CHARACTER

During the day, Inigo's a freelancer highly skilled in swordplay and with a penchant for history and trivia. At night he becomes Fennec, a fox-masked vigilante who takes it upon himself to deal with crime and corruption. He also uses his position as a freelancer to gather information to help find leads for his vigilante work. Oh, and he's a neat freak so take care in not messing with any of his stuff lest you be yelled at.

CAMARADERIE

Despite looking like the type of person who would rather keep to himself than hang out with people, Inigo is actually pretty sociable. He isn't too picky about friends—usually those who he takes a liking to (and vice versa) fall under the category. Of course, they would have to put up with his snarkiness, bluntness, and perfectionism, but those also act as weapons against him (e.g., teasing him). They needn't worry about making Inigo too upset and breaking off the friendship. The only thing that would bring him to do so is if the person intentionally badly hurts him or one of his closer friends. No one except his fellow vigilante friend knows him as Fennec, and he doesn't plan to tell any of his other friends.

THE OPPOSITION

Inigo possibly has them, even if he happens to be aligned with the "middleman" faction. (He wouldn't be surprised if there were people who hated those in the Association simply for being aligned with it.) He primarily considers criminals to be enemies, though those he suspects of corruption may also fall under this category unless he determines them innocent. As Fennec, those who are defeated by him and his vigilante friend will likely view him as an enemy (and vice versa). The same goes for those who do not think highly of vigilantes and wish to stop them.

COURTSHIPS

He's been in a few relationships, none which lasted for more than a couple of months. Gender doesn't matter so much; instead, the person must have one key trait: intelligence. Inigo is much more attracted to those who love learning and sharing their knowledge with others—bonus points if they love world history and/or trivia. It isn't impossible for someone of average intelligence to enter a long-time relationship with him, but it'll be difficult to maintain if the person isn't willing to become "less ignorant" (as Inigo puts it). If Inigo feels that he can trust his lover—that the relationship will be a long-lasting one—he'll tell them his identity. Of course, if he quits being a vigilante before that happens, then he'll take his secret to the grave.

EVERYTHING ELSE

PLOTS ARE NOT MY FRIEND SO FORGIVE ME IF I'M BAD AT COMING UP WITH IDEAS... Anyway, I only have two ideas at the moment: First, it'd be neat if Fennec faced opposition, either from a criminal or someone who believes crime should be left to law enforcement. (Or both. Both is good, too.) Second, a rival vigilante would be appreciated, as Inigo could probably use competition from someone he isn't on friendly terms with. (Where that relationship goes is something we'll have to discuss.) Other than those, I'm pretty open to ideas, so throw them at me!

There isn't much to say about the majority of Inigo's life. He led a pretty vanilla lifestyle; the only noteworthy aspects of his life is the fact he started learning swordplay at a young age and became a talented swordsman, and dabbled in various trades and studies. After graduating secondary school, he opted to become a jack-of-all-trades freelancer rather than attend college. Many of his jobs were linked to his swordplay (bodyguard, fencing instructor, security guard—you name it, he's probably done it) as he was more proficient in that skill than any others. Inigo wasn't particularly interested in finding a secure career at the moment, namely because he wasn't sure what he wanted to do. Though swordplay was his specialty, he didn't think he'd ever end up with a career that required it.[break][break]

But life works in mysterious ways. In Inigo's case, he ended up in a "career" that indeed required swordplay. However, it wasn't what he was looking for.[break][break]

Some time after he turned nineteen, the man's friend presented him with a proposition: They become vigilantes, fighting crime and corruption at night. Inigo was repulsed by the idea; he thought it was too dangerous and refused to do it. After a few attempts to coax him, his friend decided to leave him be. Of course, she didn't shy away from donning a disguise and doing what she wanted. After a while, Inigo's worry over his friend's safety got the better of him. He decided to join his friend as "Fennec", a fox-masked vigilante. As a swordsman, he was both skilled with a sword and had a superb athletic ability—especially in agility—making him a quite capable "hero". (Inigo never really considered him or his friend one.) Though he never really enjoyed the work, Inigo was still successful in bringing down a number of criminals while avoiding being caught by those who wished to unmask him.[break][break]

Now that he was a vigilante, the man knew his life would never go back to the way it was before.[break][break]

Fast forward a year: Inigo and his friend learned about what was going on in the Lyeant region. He was indifferent to its current condition whereas his friend greatly desired to move there and help out. It took much convincing, but eventually she succeeded in making him go with her. Secretly, Inigo was somewhat glad he was leaving, as he had always wanted to travel to other regions and learn about their history. (History and trivia were a couple other subjects he was fairly knowledgeable in; unfortunately, not many were impressed by what he knew.)[break][break]

Shortly after their arrival in Lyeant, Inigo's friend began to change. ...No, "began" was an understatement—to him, it seemed as though she suddenly changed overnight. Though he questioned her about it, she denied ever changing. Knowing how stubborn she could be, he left the topic alone. It bothered him, of course; however, he knew his work as a vigilante took precedence over anything, as did performing freelance work to earn money to use on necessities. Eventually, Inigo hoped to find out what happened to his friend, but for now, it was best he observe her and make sure she didn't do anything reckless.
