TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!
tbe: take two! is inspired by, but not associated with nintendo's pokemon franchise. the current skin was created by pharaoh leap using font icons primarily from ion icons and fonts from google fonts. banner art by vav of pixiv. characters, with the exception of canons from the manga, belong to the members who write them, and all posts and templates on site are credited to their respective authors and artists. we claim nothing that is not ours.

Time won't heal this damage anymore. Don't turn your back on me; I won't be ignored
❞
Just a little bit of feeling rushed with social anxiety and a whole lot of tunnel visioning, these were mostly out of her control as someone who did not often practice relaxing all of her senses in public scenarios outside of performing for the sake of her role as a charismatic dragon princess and hardcore dragon type gym leader. Imagery in her peripheral blurred past as she headed briskly towards the exit, not so agitatedly that it was like she was trying to run, but just with the most efficient possible strides for someone of her medium-small stature so that one might notice on the double take that she was totally booking it out of there in a flash. She gracefully wound back and forth in between the tables and chairs, catching air under her cape, made her way to the front of the cafe, then blindly turned a corner towards the cashier and entrance and--
How could this happen?
With a genuinely startled grunt, Ryuuna fell backwards from the misfortunate collision between herself and a certain champion she could never have guessed she'd actually not so figuratively bump into on this day. The blue, knightly dressed girl somehow was feeling like this scenario had already happened before. In fact, was this not a repeat of the last time they crossed paths? Just like the previous event, the man was already spewing out words and phrases akin to apologies before she even had a chance to think, much less comprehend what had transpired in that moment. "Oh, Arceus, I'm – I'm so sorry, this is my fault, I swear. If I'd only been watching... Sorry! Sorry.” All of his frantic mutterings flew right over her head, not that it would have made much of difference to her whether he apologized or not, especially since it was she who was clearly at fault for this accident. The gym leader sat there in stunned silence, mouth agape but unable to find proper words to respond to the situation with.
In a few moments, Ryuuna collected her conscience together and instinctively settled with giving the fellow in front of her a cold stare, but less unforgiving than the previous one in their last meeting, in return for his goofy expression. “Um... Maybe I'm wrong, but... Do I... know you?” She heard the champion manage to ask with unsubtle hesitation and practically flinched at his words as if in astonishment as a look of incredulousness spread across her face. But it was her fault that they had crashed into each other, thanks to her own carelessness -- wait, did he... after exactly how many times she fought him, somehow forget her, and fail to recognize the dragon type gym leader!? Unfortunately no one else ever knew that Ryuuna was not truly such a bitter person inside, and that her expressions often told of emotions far more menacing than what she was truly thinking or feeling, but she couldn't this time hide the look of genuine personal offense towards being forgotten by someone she herself could never forget even when at times she wished she could for her own peace of mind.
Narrowing her eyes half in shame and half in disappointment, the short but bad-tempered girl practically mumbled in a low voice as she partly avoided his gaze, "It's me, Ryuuna Pyrragon, dragon type gym leader. Don't you remember, Champion of Lyeant?" Forcing herself to speak finally allowed herself to break out of her own inner confusion and recall her speaking skills and charisma that she actually did possess. Her voice was that of someone who proudly tamed and commanded an arsenal of dragons. She forced a smile, but it was far from a friendly one. "We've battled quite a number of times and crossed paths just a few more. I find it difficult to believe you could have truly forgotten...?" As per usual, Ryuuna's tone of voice came out significantly more menacing than she would have intended for it to be were she aware of the fact, but she never meant any disrespect, not to her opponents nor even to someone she very few if any positive feelings for.

Oftentimes, she wears a draconic looking mask on her face which covers her eyes, but has slits for her to see through.[break][break]
Abilities
Ryuuna has been practicing in the art of fencing all her life simply out of her fascination of swords in medieval lore, and she is rather skilled at it to say the least.[break][break]
History
Ryuuna's father is a retired member of the Elite Four. He used to be a feared dragon trainer who was one of the strongest dragon type specialists with his entire dragon team, and he was nicknamed, "The Dragon Prince," but he retired from his position in the league in order to focus on raising and training his new daughter, Ryuuna, as a dragon trainer. Ryuuna's mother lives with him as well. She has no siblings. [break] [break]Ryuuna was raised with high expectations by her family of renowned dragon tamers. As a young child of five years old, she was given her first pokemon, a Gible. She was raised with very strict training from the start, and soon was taught to memorize all of the dragon types' strengths and weaknesses, and study on all the dragons' secondary types, skills, behaviors and livestylse of all the dragon type pokemon in existence. Her father also taught her how to fight with a sword, because their ancestors were known for having been great swordsmen and passing down their secrets to battling each generation. Due to her tough dragon training homeschooling with her Gible starter, she had no time to play with other children her age or go to public school. It severely weakened her social skills and dulled her instinctual desire to seek companionship with other people, but she never complained because she never knew what it was like to hang out and goof off with friends her age. She was simply content as long as she had her dragons. [break] [break]Ryuuna always greatly admired her father, knowing that he used to be a feared member of the Elite Four, and she dreamed of becoming a great dragon trainer as well. She was especially inspired whenever she got to watch great pokemon battles between Elite Four members and challengers on tv with her family. At the age of ten, she was already becoming known as a child prodigy. She and her fully evolved and fully trained five IV, hidden ability Garchomp, Luci, began their journey together to travel the region and become stronger on their own. Immediately, Ryuuna was enthusiastic about catching more dragons to add to her future champion team, and she soon obtained a charmander of her own. It wasn't long before she discovered, upon "Inigo's" evolution into a charizard, that the charmander line was not actually a dragon type at all. Ryuuna had by this time obtained and trained for her team a Salamence, Haxorus, Hydreigon, and Altaria. [break] [break]Even though Inigo wasn't a dragon, Ryuuna took him along with the rest of her dragon team throughout the region and challenged all the gyms, swiftly defeating them all. She liked the charizard species anyway because of its dragon aesthetic, as it reminded her of the dragons spoken of in fantasy books. By the time she was staring down the Elite Four, she had now trained up a Noivern, a Dragonite, and a Flygon for her team of dragons. Focusing even more intently on becoming the region's best dragon trainer, she boxed Inigo in order to make her team all dragon types. After four tough battles, Ryuuna made it past the Elite Four members and was ready to challenge the Champion. Her well trained team fought hard and relentlessly, but she couldn't break down the champion with her current strength as a trainer. [break] [break]The loss, being her first loss since she used to practice battling against her father, was unexpectedly devastating for Ryuuna. She had finished the battle on tilt, refusing to give up and accept her loss, but at the same time, freaking out on the inside because she knew she was losing. Ryuuna took a break from pokemon battling for a little while to collect her thoughts and recover from the shock of losing. But in the meantime, she began to desperately seek out a way for her to achieve success for sure next time. She heard about the recent discovery of megastones, and began to seek out more information. This led her to find out about the Charizardite X stone which was said to be able to allow a charizard to transform into a dragon type during battle to fight with legendary boosts of power. [break] [break]Tired from her journey, Ryuuna wanted to return to her home city, Neurift City, but she hesitated about returning home with nothing to show. She decided to apply to become the gym leader of her home city, because coincidentally, the city was lacking one and searching for an able gym leader to reside in Neurift city. Ryuuna received the position by a landslide due to her history in defeating the Elite Four and being well known for her powerful team of dragons and genius battling skills which earned her the nickname by her hometown neighbors who knew her as well as a few of her fans around the region as, "The Dragon Princess." With a steady job, Ryuuna continues to strive to become stronger, hoping that she'll one day have a chance at becoming an Elite Four just like her father, as well as subtly searching on her own time for the Charizardite X. She only sometimes visits her parents to seek advice related to dragons and battling, but has recently become very serious and enthusiastic about her job as a gym leader. [break] [break]Since two years ago, Ryuuna has challenged the Elite Four, and lost to the champion five times, five pride crushing defeats that she would each have to recover from, but she remains ever determined to defeat him one day.
there is nothing left to take, but i still try to reach. try to swallow it all down, yet i can't seem to breathe. just a single pill of mine, nothing else would suffice - i take it in, now i'm alive. my phone is set on lock, and i don't really care. there's a tangle and a knot that i cannot repair. i'm a tragedy, i'm ugly, i'm trying to hide. i say "hello", then wave "goodbye". see me fall down - let me die here slowly. nothing goes right, not a trace of honestly. i'm to blame, so i'll remain. black, white; day, night; it's all the same. see it run down - cut away, no worries. say no more. i can surely say that i've had enough. i still refuse to believe.

PLOT IDEA #1 every day would be the same. nothing more, little change. if i cared, it would mean nothing: it's all such a pain. friendly bonds are so unneeded, i don't give a dang. a busy life is what i am. could it be that family was a way of escape? didn't know if it was right, so i threw them away. couldn't take it anymore, i had taken enough, so then i hide my need for love.[break][break]
PLOT IDEA #2 lay me right down, let me sleep, i'm restless. cover my eyes. when i'm up, i'll finally fade away, here, today. give me a reason: then i'll stay. if i could fly, if for only a moment, there wouldn't be such a need for casualty. i'm alone, and that is how it'll be.

we have to find a better way out of this tragedy. as the battle rages on, blood stains the ground we're on. my ears hear only screams. brave soldiers are dying. one spartan stands alone and shouts, "this war is ours. this war is ours!"
❞
"The same road for far too long"as it meant to be, we are losing identity."Faith has been denied, let's not pretend." Is this the first time we just don't belong?
It seemed like, these days, trainers were more interested in politics than gym battles. Ryuuna liked to think of herself, as a member of the association, neutral to the whole political thing, although no member of the Pokemon Association would ever admit that in subjectively considering themselves neutral, and "blameless" when it comes to politics by keeping to their old ways, they're just the third party in this entire social war. As a gym leader, Ryuuna accepted the responsibility of protecting the region and its citizens from evil organizations like Team Imum, so she didn't see what was so bad about just running things normally the way they are in other regions, fully confident in her abilities to help put a stop to anything like Team Imum if it were to ever happen again. Well, she was confident in her own strength, but the members of the other factions liked to call it arrogance. Ryuuna didn't think so highly of that view.
The royal blue-clad gym leader sipped a cup of hot tea from the very back of a cafe, suffering from the boredom of inactivity, challenge-wise. She preferred the company of just herself and her pokemon since she wasn't a very social person, and she was considerate enough to pick a two-seat table because the four-seat tables were for people with friends. Perhaps a majority of the trainers went to either the Republic or Parallax, and both of those 'groups' liked to consider themselves rivals of the other as well as the association, so it was seldom that a trainer waltzed boldly into Eirenhyre City if he or she considered oneself to be firmly loyal to his or her faction.
Here in the peace and quiet of the back of the cafe, Bellossom Cafe, only the low-volume music overhead and the muffled clashes of dishes in the kitchen could be heard, and she found herself getting lost in her thoughts all alone. She was pretty certain the cafe owner wouldn't mind that she was taking her time, using the place as a site to relax and be isolated for a bit. That's what cafes were for anyway, and she would finish up and move right away if ever it became crowded, though the chances of this cafe, a little further out from the center of the city, having a population issue, were significantly low. Chin resting on hands, she gazed off into space. Maybe she could train her dragons later today, if the association didn't need her for any gym leader meetings.
"Miss Ryuuna, would you like a refill?" a friendly, chipper voice sounded from beside her. Ryuuna practically jumped in her seat, her thoughts closing her off from the world so that she did not sense the waitress's approach. She hadn't been prepared to make any social efforts, so she had to break her train of thought to focus on the situation. Most people in this city knew her name, as it wasn't hard to get to know the names of all the gym leaders, elite four and of course the champion if you live in the same city that houses the pokemon association. She was thankful that the civilians had gotten used to it enough that they no longer made a fuss whenever a gym leader or any other special position in the association walked around or visited a shop, doing normal things in their daily lives.
Um. No... that's fine." Ryuuna replied awkwardly, beginning to shuffle out of her seat. She had paid for her tea up front, so handing the waitress her empty dishes, she started making her way from the back of the cafe towards the entrance. Sometimes the people in this city made small efforts to try and chat with association members, but the waitress, maybe out of politeness or social anxiety, just quietly let Ryuuna go. Everyone often learned quickly that Ryuuna never had any extra friendly words to offer in social interactions, even when she actually was appreciative of the others' words or actions.

Thanks to Ryuuna's somewhat cold and unfriendly personality, she doesn't often make friends, and she doesn't really try to either. Since she doesn't trust others very easily, even those who have tried to look past her personality and befriend her usually have hit a wall and given up. This masked gym leader seems to plan on staying masked and friendless for as long as she keeps her habits up.
Ryoto Pyrragon Of course her father, whom she deeply respects and admires for his past feats as a retired member of the Elite Four and inspired and helped train her into a powerful dragon type master, is someone Ryuuna trusts and cares for. She would not hesitate to call him a friend, even though she doesn't get to visit her parents at home as often as she'd like to sometimes.
Ryuuna probably has made plenty of enemies, such as trainers whose dreams were crushed flat in her gym, and anyone who has offended her at some point in time can expect a few harsh words in any future meetings. It's not too terribly hard to make her mad at you if you do or say something stupid, or try pressing a number of her buttons. She does not like fooling around, and has a pitiful sense of humor and a low tolerance for annoying fools.
Daniel Parks Ryuuna strongly views him as an obstacle she must overcome in life, and the one who put her through the darkest times of her life by defeating her and halting her challenge upon the Elite Four. She has even gone as far as to develop a personal long-term dislike for him, because not only does he continue to defeat her in battle -- and she has challenged him, and lost, 27 times thus far -- but his personality seems to be the exact opposite of her own, and they never seem to be able to get on the same page when they meet in person.

character name
Ryuuna is hardly interested in love, and doesn't seem to get along with other human beings well enough to even begin thinking about a relationship. She can hardly conquer the very basic step of making some friends, so it seems very unlikely she'll find someone whom she can both get along with and fall in love with. If however she were to become attracted to someone, it should be noted she would only ever consider the opposite sex.

She decided to apply to become the gym leader of her home city, because coincidentally, the city was lacking one and searching for an able gym leader to reside in Neurift city.
