TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

we're officially re-opened! come check out our event, the pokeathlon forever to enjoy some fresh restart activities. let leap know if there are any skin bugs, and they'll be sorted out accordingly!
Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!

"Uhh."Oops, was that my fault? Taka wondered, feeling more guilty the more the stranger expressed her unhappiness at now being soaked to the bone due to her surprised reaction to his outburst of a briefly panicked reaction at her sudden appearance. Well, it wasn't his fault either for jumping in reaction to seeing another person pop out of no where, but Taka was more likely to fret about all the things he did wrong and what he thought he would face repercussion for.[break][break]
Taka flinched for real when suddenly a mystic voice filled his thoughts. He scanned all the surrounding creatures and quickly figured out that it was the noctowl doing some... psychic thing... at him. He frowned with uneasiness, not used to being communicated to that way, and it still kind of freaked him out a little. After a brief moment of thinking over the noctowl's words, he breathed out and nodded. "A-Alright, alright. I believe you, so please get out of my head!" Taka held up his hand and waved at the noctowl as if trying to bat away an invisible fly.[break[break]
He noted that the human girl was standing, but hadn't reentered the small clearing from where she'd stumbled back and fallen into a shallow stream. She was visibly freezing. Who wouldn't be? As soon as he had glanced in her direction, he noticed her give an apologetic smile back at him, and he quickly averted his gaze. Well now he felt really bad for her. Taka's social discomfort was showing all over, and normally he would preemptively counter all potential judgement with fighting words, but right now, he felt it only right to at least try to help her out. He quickly untied the pelt he wore around his waist over his pants for decoration and awkwardly held it out. "U-Um, here. Use this to dry yourself off..." Taka glanced around and saw his two flying pokemon had landed on a nearby tree branch to observe with curiosity. "But I need it back once you're dried off and warmed up, okay?"[break][break]

"Again." The lycanroc gijinka barked, but not without kindness in his voice. Before him where he sat and folded his arms across his knees were two pokemon, a Haunter and a Rowlet. At his command, the Rowlet which he had lovingly nicknamed "Yumi" launched a mighty, but not very effective Seed Bomb attack against the Haunter, and the purple ghost pokemon the young man called "Oboro" retaliated with a similarly not so very effective Thunderbolt attack. "Again." Taka repeated, and his pokemon repeated their moves at his command. "Again." This procedure, Taka rehearsed several times, until the two battlers had run out of power points. Now if only it could make enough difference that his team would be much stronger than before. Taka was sure that training like this would help his pocket monsters gain more levels, and hopefully even evolve into their next forms which the gijinka trainer fully expected.[break][break]
"Alright, that's enough for today. You've all done well!" Taka congratulated his pokemon warmly for a successful training exercise by giving them all a gentle pat on the head. This was a daily task for him and the only real friends he had that they undertook in order to become tougher in battle, and the style or method of training varied as the boy tried different things, hoping that they would evolve sooner or later. He began to collect and unsummon each of his friends back into their pokeballs when suddenly his senses picked up sounds nearby that were not his own nor that of his pocket beasts. Taka's immediate change in disposition quickly spread to the pokemon he still had out including Fujin the Talonflame and Hina the Vivillon. He hadn't even moved by the time Fujin took off, Hina trailing behind with mild disinterest. Taka as well leapt to his feet in one single bound and was after the two flying pokemon.[break][break]
Soon enough, he saw the Talonflame and Vivillon circling in the air above their target through the tree tops and ground foliage. They both screeched and chirped loudly to alert their trainer of the presence of newcomers. A lone Chimchar was standing there on the ground, looking up, and a much larger pokemon, a Luxray, stood behind it. Chimchar and Luxray, Taka was pretty certain, weren't very common around these parts, so they were probably tamed ones. Were they lost? Escapees? He felt no threat from the Chimchar, but that Luxray's presence for some reason gave him a terrible feeling in his gut. He was willing to cautiously approach them and try to find out if they needed help, but just as he stepped out from behind a few trees, the Lycanroc gijinka nearly jumped out of his skin and yelped in surprise as a human popped into the scene. "Aiya--!!" The loud commotion from the pokemon had distracted him enough that he didn't notice her approach until he saw her, but Taka's high pitched cry cut them off.[break][break]
"Wha... Just what are you doing here!?" Taka's senseless question sprouted from his desperation to make up for or hopefully even hide the embarrassment of squeaking like a puppy in front of another person. He took to crossing his arms and frowned indignantly. "L-look, if your pokemon want to fight or something, let's just battle already."

A young trainer with a bit of a short temper, but not possessing the talent to back up his beliefs or level of confidence. This is not the fault of his own, but merely due to the fact that he was unlucky in general and never really happened upon the opportunity to learn from some amazing veteran trainer willing to help him out. In fact, he just simply does not receive help from anyone for little reason other than luck, although Taka himself does not exactly go out of his way to seek out help from others. In truth, he has very low self esteem bordering on anxiety and depression, and fears being seen as a weak person if he lets himself rely on anyone too much. He prefers to keep to himself and remain independent, relying only on himself and his own pokémon friends.[break][break]
Folks often tell him he's too angry all the time, but they probably have a point, even though it does nothing to ever make him less angry when they point it out. Taka wasn't particularly gifted in any area except his passion and determination to succeed and overcome the challenges thrown his way, but despite his shortcomings and naïvety, he can prove himself to be surprisingly bright when it comes to strategy. He doesn't get along well with other people because of his tendency to treat them rudely instead of respectfully when he does not know them yet. But once he gets to know someone better, he is capable of growing fond of that person and will immediately treat that person warmly. This always seems to catch others off guard, but that is simply because even though Taka is so prickly and upset on the outside, lashing out defensively at others to make up for his social anxiety, on the inside, he probably just wants a hug. The fact that he is visibly a lycanroc gijinka does very little to help him fit in or get along with human beings. Sometimes he finds more comfort in the companionship of other pokémon than humans.[break][break]
Taka regularly finds himself stressed out by the world and timeline he was born into. He has a hard time dealing with the fact that he is at a disadvantage to everyone else, being so inexperienced due to being offered no support whatsoever in his career as an aspiring pokémon trainer, so he's quite used to being independent and taking no help from anyone else. He finds it unfair and feels animosity towards others who consider themselves professionals because of this, but chooses to express this feeling through battling them angrily and getting his butt kicked. He also does not know that you must trade Haunter for it to evolve, and that Vivillon has no more evolutions even though he's leveled it up several times since.[break][break]
On days when Taka isn't feeling upset or stressed by battling and interacting with other people, he likes to take care of his appearance, and has developed a particularly refined sense of fashion. He treats his pokémon with respect, but also especially as comrades, like his own wolf pack, and they get along like best of friends.[break][break][break] positive traits passionate + smart + strategic + competitive + determined + strong + energetic + high stamina + stylish + caring + sensitive + careful + skillful + athletic[break] negative traits immature + impatient + naïve + inexperienced + easily depressed + socially anxious + rude + short temper + unfriendly + prickly + selfish + timid + intolerant + easily upset + loud + aggressive + merciless + jealous + superiority complex + desperate + prissy + snobbish + moody + weak mentality + hateful[break][break] quirks and habits[break] he fiddles with his ponytail by moving it over his shoulder when feeling anxious[break] he will snuggle with his own lycanroc tail when he is alone and feeling particularly distressed[break] his pokémon oftentimes cuddle with him[break] his tail will fluff up when he's mad, wag when he's happy, and curl down when he's scared or down[break] he whines like a dog when he's especially scared[break] fears[break] thunderstorms[break] drowning[break] goals[break] to become a very strong pokémon trainer by himself[break] to beat all the gym leaders of lyeant[break] to prove to his family that he can survive on his own[break] to change society so it will accept and treat natural-born gijinkas fairly

Description
Physical appearance: Even though he is technically an adult, Taka just looks youthful all around to most people no matter how hard he tries to make himself seem more like an adult. He stands at a slightly below average five feet and eight inches tall, dresses warmly with a certain fluffy accessory, and wears his long, beige hair in a high ponytail. He has warm brown eyes and a soft-looking face, at least until he gets mad at you for something eventually.[break][break]His fluffiness doesn't end there. Being a midday lycanroc gijinka, he can't hide his soft light brown, dark-tipped ears and a white, extra fluffy tail half-covered by the fluffy pelt he wears on his waist. He is extremely huggable and soft despite his prickly personality. Trust me, it's worth it.[break][break]
Outfit: Despite his origins in the Kalos region, he seems to prefer wearing traditional, Kanto and Johto styled attire, which consist of a half-kimono combined with something of a battle archer's armor, and a little dark navy blue scarf around his neck. Most unforgettable is the soft winter deerling pelt around his waist... it's fake, isn't it? Right?? Look, a lone wolf's gotta eat.[break][break]
Abilities
Due to his powers he shares with the midday lycanroc pokemon, he can telekineticly summon into being sharp stones and hurl them at his enemy. He is surprisingly deadly with his powers being that convenient for him. But he has never and would never even think to use them against other people unless they directly threaten his life or the well-being of his pokemon.[break][break]
His moveset is Accelerock, Stone Edge, Swords Dance, Brick Break, Sucker Punch, and Zen Headbutt. He seems to have a Jolly Nature.[break][break]
Backstory
No one ever bothered to teach him how to catch pokémon, what good or strong pokémon there are out there, and any of the fundamentals of being a pokémon trainer. He had to eventually figure everything out step by step. His parents were poor, so he could not be sent to a trainer school to learn the basics, nor could afford to buy pokéballs so that he could try to catch a starter with bare luck in order to begin his pokémon journey, and there was absolutely no way he could hope to qualify for a starter pokémon from the professor.[break][break]
Taka, from the beginning, would not let that stop him from accomplishing his goal of becoming a real pokemon trainer. He took on little jobs until he had saved up enough to buy one pokeball, and then caught a Fletchling which he named Fujin. From there, he immediately sought to take on the world through sheer determination, and fall flat every single time.[break][break]
The fact that he is a lycanroc gijinka had been a family secret until Taka himself decided to heck it and just not bother hiding his identity anymore, that his family carried a small gijinka lineage on his father's side.[break][break]
Taka sought out the opportunities of a new life in the Lyeant region some years ago and joined the republic faction easily due to his affinity and alliance with pokemon. He hates Imum with a burning passion, and can't help but cast suspicions on any ex-Imum members even though he knows it's wrong to judge them when they have all but repented and he ought to forgive them and forget the past. But then again, maybe he also has some intuitive reasons for his doubt as well.[break][break]
He desires to one day crush the social oppression against all gijinkas, but hasn't yet had much success in anything but making a fool of himself, partly due to his own temperament. But he is eager to find and ally himself with others who share the same cause.[break]
there is nothing left to take, but i still try to reach. try to swallow it all down, yet i can't seem to breathe. just a single pill of mine, nothing else would suffice - i take it in, now i'm alive. my phone is set on lock, and i don't really care. there's a tangle and a knot that i cannot repair. i'm a tragedy, i'm ugly, i'm trying to hide. i say "hello", then wave "goodbye". see me fall down - let me die here slowly. nothing goes right, not a trace of honestly. i'm to blame, so i'll remain. black, white; day, night; it's all the same. see it run down - cut away, no worries. say no more. i can surely say that i've had enough. i still refuse to believe.

PLOT IDEA #1 every day would be the same. nothing more, little change. if i cared, it would mean nothing: it's all such a pain. friendly bonds are so unneeded, i don't give a dang. a busy life is what i am. could it be that family was a way of escape? didn't know if it was right, so i threw them away. couldn't take it anymore, i had taken enough, so then i hide my need for love.[break][break]
PLOT IDEA #2 lay me right down, let me sleep, i'm restless. cover my eyes. when i'm up, i'll finally fade away, here, today. give me a reason: then i'll stay. if i could fly, if for only a moment, there wouldn't be such a need for casualty. i'm alone, and that is how it'll be.
