Sora woke up in a cold sweat, wondering to himself what in the world just happened? He remembered a dream where he and Shizuka were together and had to check his journal to make sure that he hadn't actually forgotten something so monumental. Remembering the dream a fair bit more he recalled there was one extremely odd fact about it, apparently they had been Meowth-like creatures and, well the rest he chose to forget. Like that could ever happen the Umbreon gijinka thought to himself. Still in a half asleep stupor he decided to call his friend and talk to her about the dream he had just dreamed.
[break] Sora had listened to the dial tone as he called his favorite Vulpix Gijinka, it was around the fourth ring when he realized how crazy he would sound when he explained the entire situation to her. Unfortunately the fourth ring was also when Shizuka answered the phone. "Heeeyy," Sora heard from the other side of the phone conversation, and upon that he looked at the clock and noticed the time. "Oh-oh, hey Shizu," Sora caught himself making his voice flighty and flirty and quickly hit his head against his pillow. "Uh, that was nothing, and I just realized that it's 4 AM so even if we'd both be up for a rendezvous I'm not sure there would be any places that are open. Could I meet you in Accidental Park around two in the evening later on today?" Sora heard his friend make a noise of agreement and he hung up the phone.
[break] Sora knocked upon his sister's door and woke the Glaceon gijinka up so he could have someone style his hair and cut out all of the dead ends. While she mocked him about the fact that he never tidies up to see anyone, not even the region champion Sora could only sit their flustered while she held the deadly scissors.
[break] "You should ask her to marry you, you've technically known her for what? Five whole years?" Sora heard Kirara tease him as he was getting ready to head out toward the designated spot. "I can't really remember how many years its been, but it's only recently that I've found her again so marriage, wait marriage?! That's way too forward, I don't know if I could ever do that, what if she doesn't like Dark-Type Pokemon? Why would you say to start with marriage anyway, that would involve hand holding and I haven't even kissed a girl." Sora ranted for a good half hour about reasons why marriage wouldn't work right now, forgetting the whole fact that his Espeon had been taunting him while raising the question.
[break] Sora arrived at the park after cooking a pot of curry, and began panicking about whether or not Shizuka actually liked the food. Not to even mention the fact that Sora never mentioned having a picnic at the park or the fact he would bring food. What if she's not a fan of spicy food? What if it's not spicy enough, I made it mild so she could enjoy it any which way but I forgot to bring anything else to let her spice it up if she wasn't a fan of how mild it was. What if she preferred long grain rice to short grain and hated how sticky the short grain rice was cooked. Should I have brought forks and spoons or can she handle chopsticks, then again it might be cute if she was flustered while using the chopsticks, and explaining to her how to use them could actually be very fun. Sora's tail began wagging as he imagined the beautiful Vulpix gijinka catching up with him over a light lunch, "Maybe I could offer to feed her if she's inexperienced at using chopsticks" Sora said thinking out loud but not extremely audible as he looked up and noticed that Shizuka had finally arrived nearby. Finding the willpower enough willpower to not blush and turn his entire face red Sora waved motioning Shizu to come over and sit down.

[attr="class","boneshatter3"] For once in his life Sora was glad for the part of his upbringing involving his sister and his foster mother experimenting with the fact that Sora was exactly the manliest looking man. The memories of all the times that they had forced him to cross-dress to attend a cheap mother-daughter meal or a lady’s only bowling day seemed fairly tame compared to what he was having to do now. At the very least they were fine with leaving his chest at his male size and calling it a day. The Association had other plans though, they didn’t know what the Parallaxian member liked in his women, so while they were fine with their precious champion not wearing any pads their new Gym Leader wasn’t saved the trouble. Sora began to wonder how girls deal with these things before Kirara started applying the foundation of Sora’s make-up with the Espeon’s psychic powers. At the very least Sora was happy that he didn’t really have to hide his ears and tail as exposing them would make him less recognizable as the dark-type Gym Leader. There was also a couple other of gijinka’s running around as apparently that was the Maid Café’s primary draw. As Sora looked around the room he suddenly became flustered noticing that he had the largest bust size out of everyone working there, and as if it had been intentionally timed Kirara started applying the lipstick to Sora’s face. If Sora’s childhood memories were correct that would mean that the eyeshadow and mascara were coming up next so he braced his eyes for the struggle that was applying those Arceus forsaken beauty products. [break]Speaking of Arceus Sora looked over to Danny and remembered the first time that they met and… ow, one of Sora’s lashes had flicked back down and gotten into his eyeball, and while he was wondering if it was divine karma his Pokemon companion telepathically told him that she was done with her make-up and to put her back in her Pokeball before he went on to do the wacky job the Association had stuck him with. “Why are we doing this, again?” Sora heard Danny ask and instead of answering him correctly he wondered how far he could go with a joke. “We lost our jobs at the league because we eloped and they couldn’t stand the thought of their champion marrying a gijinka.”
As an Umbreon Gijinka, Sora gets power from the moon allowing him to heal his wounds and increase his strength, and, as another gijinka trait, when extremely agitated Sora releases a toxin that can badly poison an enemy. Another trait of his Umbreon genetics is a high pain tolerance, and being immune to Psychic effects. As a Dark Type Gijinka, Sora can emanate pure darkness into a pulsing ring that will cause damage. While on his journeys, Sora has gained the ability to put up a protective shield that can deflect moves up to a certain point, until the shield fails.[break] Sora's favorite ability is the ability to levitate something up to 3 times his weight. Mostly useless within battles due to the telegraphed nature of the ability, but has fun uses while watching over the kids or relaxing. With small things the velocity of movement can be fast enough, but anything over 25 pounds moves at almost a snail like pace. [break] One of the abilities that he chooses not to use as much is an all out attack that leaves him vulnerable for an amount of time after using it. One of the abilities that he considers to be a semi-problem is that his eyes are nocturnal while the rest of his anatomy follows the diurnal nature of a human. So while walking on bright days Sora will have to wear black sunglasses or risk being blinding by the sun. The only benefit is that the BlackGlasses seem to have some sort of Dark-Type Enchantment.

Leadership of the Gym
"Danny, I won't be able to actively participate in Association rallies or some other events. The people of New Veherna need a competent leader. They'll only listen to someone who seems like they're part of the Republic, and I have to be honest being so close to my Pokemon I almost want to join them. The way they're trying to do this isn't right though, without going through the proper government procedures something that is as bad or worse than the war could happen again. If you ever need help to bring down a Parallax member that's something I can do and still keep face." Sora gave his good friend a pat on the head and said his parting words, "If you ever wanna hang out and maybe go to cafe I'd like to continue our friendship, but when you see me on Television you might see me lie to keep the peace in Veherna. Try to tell the other's that's not how I really feel." Sora left the room with tears welling in his eyes, was he truly the right choice for this Gym? He hoped that he could help strong trainers grow and understand the power of a proper relationship with their Pokemon.

The Umbreon Gijinka couldn’t help but feel extremely warm hearted when he held his best friend close to him, whether it was due to Shizuka’s warm body heat being a Vulpix gijinka or if it would be more appropriate to link it to the fact that her heart was beating so fast from… from the fear of the ghost Pokemon Sora thought, hoping to find a way to help relieve her fears. Until his thoughts were stricken with another issue that seemed a lot more miniscule, but still important to the gijinka at the time. His heart was beating, really loudly, he wondered to himself if hearts could even be this loud, or perhaps he might be drawing ghost Pokemon towards himself and if the beautiful gijinka next to him could hear this drumming of his heart. Wait… beautiful gijinka? Sora soon realized that this thought was probably not the best to calm his beating heart, as sure enough it seemed to get even louder. Sure he always felt that it was fate that he met this wonderful lady in his days of wandering after leaving the evil organization of Imum, on that beautiful day that seemed to change the direction his life was headed. Although that was never a thought he believed appropriate to express towards the gijinka considering how hectic the region seemed to be, although it had been a long time since the war the factions were so polarized it seemed like anything could happen in the next minute. Sora couldn’t help but think that perhaps his thoughts were the more hectic thing at the moment though. Sora thought of two innocent thoughts at first, the protection of his best friend, from the ghosts that haunted this abandoned town and how to keep her happy. Although it didn’t help much when one thought led to another and he realized that Shizuka was a very important part of keeping his life anchored to the ground and not getting caught up into anything that would lead either of them to heartache, considering how radical some of The Republic could get at times. He thought of expressing these thoughts to her as well as something that popped up into his head and stopped him from expressing them. Sora realized, not exactly for the first time but perhaps the most passionately that he cared about Shizuka and how, well he wouldn’t mind spending more time with her as… the Umbreon gijinka became to flustered to even humor the thought. Sora began in an attempt to calm down by doing a quick surveillance of his surrounding and let go of the hug around Shizuka and instead began to hold onto her arm in an attempt to reassure her that he was still here and hopefully would be able to show his proficiency as a dark type gym leader if the ghost Pokemon showed up in an attempt to scare or harm the pair of gijinkas that were walking arm in arm. Sora had thought he was on the right track to calm himself down but with his latest though combined with his Umbreon vision allowing him to see through the darkness so akin to the familiar night and see the person that he cared for the most in this world and an adorable blushing red face that he couldn’t help but let slip a low whisper to himself, “Shizuka is truly beautiful...”

Sora couldn’t help but wonder what he had done to deserve this, he was here in a horror movie stage where he had basically been given immunity to the evil beings that surround him. Horror films that starred ghost Pokemon never really got to the Umbreon Gijinka, well maybe when he was a tiny little Eevee he was scared since he was never really good at hitting them, but they always seemed to have a horrible time to hit him. What had Sora been deserving of then? Well he walked around Old Veherna with his best friend, this Vulpix gijinka, a women who had saved him from himself. Even if he had gone into Team Imum to find out intel, without much success, he still felt as his hands had been soiled after he left that villainous team. His teacher, someone who had shared some very important values with Sora, his name still brought sadness to Sora’s heart. So how had this lovely Vulpix saved him? Well that perhaps is a story for a better day. Sora just became lost in thought as he walked side by side with the Vulpix gijinka, he had no idea what he would do without her. Well, he would probably lose himself within his work, but the question he asked himself is whether or not he would truly live if she broke contact with him in any way, be it from her getting too busy from this job or other things, so the Umbreon gijinka found that helping her out with her work would be a good compromise. It would probably be more becoming of a Gym Leader that he should pay attention to the situation, but having a team of Pokemon comprised of purely Dark types that he was carrying with him really lightened the situation of being in a well, ghost town. Especially the Dark types that Sora considered his family, a team which he could work in complete sync with, family just like the old Ninetails that had one day taken care of him, Masuyo. Sora felt a slight pang run through his heart as he remembered some of the stories that she had told him as he was growing up. Stories that seemed to be so foreign yet now hold so much weight as he stood close to this Vulpix gijinka. “Please stay close to me, Sora,” the Umbreon gijinka then remembered the present, the only time that really mattered to him now and remembered his self-given responsibility of protecting this Vulpix gijinka and without thought of the future he answered back in a thought that he meant to be within his head, “For as long as I am able to protect you” Sora then noticed that he had made a statement which could have been too forward, he hoped that there would be a motion by a ghost pokemon perhaps that might make the Vulpix gijinka forget what he had just said, or perhaps he would have to deal with Shizuka questioning him about what he just said, or perhaps the best possible outcome for the Sora would be for the statement to fly over Shizuka’s head. It was then that Sora noticed that his friend was shaking and the previous thoughts seemed to no longer matter to the gijinka as he placed his arms in a reassuring hug around Shizuka, blushing a bit more than he would have hoped.

Abilities
As an Umbreon Gijinka, Sora gets power from the moon allowing him to heal his wounds and increase his strength, and, as another gijinka trait, when extremely agitated Sora releases a toxin that can badly poison an enemy. Another trait of his Umbreon genetics is a high pain tolerance, and being immune to Psychic effects. As a Dark Type Gijinka, Sora can emanate pure darkness into a pulsing ring that will cause damage. While on his journeys, Sora has gained the ability to put up a protective shield that can deflect moves up to a certain point, until the shield fails. Sora can also levitate things with Psychic power up to about 1.5 times his weight so, in theory, he could float on a rock or such, as long as it isn't too heavy, but it is quite draining on himself. One of the abilities that he chooses not to use as much is an all out attack that leaves him vulnerable for an amount of time after using it. One of the abilities that he considers to be a semi-problem is that his eyes are nocturnal while the rest of his anatomy follows the diurnal nature of a human. So while walking on bright days Sora will often has to wear sunglasses, which for some reason boost his powers.
