>>ACUTE;; Watching, always watching. Observing - formulating plans as quickly as he can when he needs them - whether or not they'll work in the end, that doesn't matter. He thinks on his feet, if something goes south he works to turn it around. Sharp and quick witted, he always seems to come up with some sort of plan, even if it places him at the center of something extremely dangerous. Some have even called him cunning before - he does fit the bill.[break][break]
>> ADVENTUROUS;; Bold, often stupidly so, sometimes Kirk doesn't know when to stop. His courage has often gotten him into trouble before, and he rarely gets out of the other end unscathed. Perhaps it's his headstrong behavior that brings others to like or despise him - very much a love me or hate me man. Despite this and his high level of risk taking, he'll never turn down a new experience, nor will he ever turn down someone asking for help, no matter what the task may be.[break][break]
>> INDEPENDENT;; Even though Kirk really needs someone to tell him when to stop and to remind him to take care of himself, he's a very self-reliant being. >> PROTECTIVE;; Of course, Kirk is protective of who he deems innocent, regardless if they can fight for themselves or not. However, once you breach the line of his inner circle and become someone he holds close - he'd go so far as to kill for you, should the need arise. His own safety means nothing as long as he keeps others safe - should he have to die to save the lives of others, he certainly would.[break][break]
>> AUDACIOUS;; To say the man is fearless, or at lest appears so, is an understatement. If he is afraid, he will do his best to tuck it away deep down to keep himself as calm as he can or the sake of anyone else around him. If you are close to him, he might actually admit to you he is afraid and seek some form of comfort, but those closest are few and far between. [break][break]

>> SELF-DEPRECATING;; Don't get him wrong - he's flirtatious and he thinks he's hot. He's not afraid to flaunt what he's got. But when it comes to his actual views on himself and who he is, they're pretty low. He'd sooner settle for a few flings than an actual relationship, feeling like he'd just be something in their way, something they'd lose interest - a burden, more or less. Feeling like he's not worth someone's time like that really has a toll on mentality in the long run. Good luck trying to tell him otherwise.[break][break]
>> FLIRTATIOUS;; Kirk likes to flirt. a lot. Men, women, gender does not matter. He's often in his element when it comes to parties, especially when drunk. He's hot, and he knows he's hot - but that's only skin deep. He'd sooner bring someone else up, not only to prevent them from possibly feeling the same as he, but it distracts him from himself, even if only briefly - which is another reason why he's more of a fling than an outstanding relationship, in his eyes at least. Hell, he'd even flirt with the enemy if he so thought to. This has often found him trouble as well, such as bar fights or overprotective significant others.[break][break]
>> IMPULSIVE;; There's quite a lot that Kirk does without a second thought - including some of his well thought out, or not so much, plans. He calls it following his gut instinct while many others around him call it stupidity. Especially when someone else needs help, he acts right then and there - it's usually up to someone else to remind him it could be trouble, if such a someone exists. He's also very impulsive when it comes to getting or going after things he wants - such as items, food, getting drunk, etc.[break][break]
>> RESTLESS;; He can't stay still for long, always needing to be active - even if it's doing something to exercise his brain. He can get fidgety easily and tends to spend his nights in a sleepless manner. Coffee is this boy's best friend. In a sense, this can also pertain to the fact that he keeps his issues to himself, very rarely, if ever, opening up to others. Some see him as a troubled being, others become easily aggrivated with how closed of he can be. His problems are his own, so he thinks - and that keeps him a troubled soul.[break][break]
>> INSURGENT;; Rebellious to a T, you can give this kid orders - and if you can get him follow them, he'll do it in his own way, no matter who it may piss off. Even if he gets the job done, it's on his own terms. He's always had a rather bad habit of doing the opposite of what he's told - tell him to stay, better not turn your back, or he'll be gone.[break][break]
>> APATHETIC;; Don't be mistaken. Kirk loves people - more than himself, and that's his downfall. He always puts others and the needs of others before his own. He could be broken and bleeding, and he'd make sure everyone else was taken care of before he even thought about tending to his own wounds. He'd make sure everyone would eat before himself - going hungry if need be. In that sense, he's extremely apathetic toward his own well being. Making a decision, they went out and purchased him a thunderstone to give him on his next birthday, figuring a stronger pokemon would help keep him safe.[break][break]
>> Yet, on his birthday, when he opened the package and took out the Thunderstone, they all watched with shock as the color disappeared from the stone, the luminance it once held fading within seconds. Seeing as none of them believed him to be a gijinka, nobody understood what happened - his parents leaving it to the fact that they had managed to purchase a fake, promising to get him another as soon as they could.[break][break]
>> With a smile, he told his parents it was okay - they didn't have to break the bank for him again and again, he was fine as is - assuring him that his eevee would evolve with time as it should. Whether they stumbled upon a stone or with circumstances, he didn't mind.[break][break]
>> As the next week went on, he began to feel sore and sick to his stomach, feeling like his body was trying to turn itself inside out. He complained little, not wanting his parents to worry any more than they already did - continuing to attend classes, skipping any physical activity he could.[break][break]
>> He couldn't skip everything, however. One of the kids he had defended had found themselves backed into a corner yet again, and Kirk found himself bristling. Preparing his fists, he approached the bully - dishing out some harsh words, and found a fist to his face moments later.[break][break]
>> Finding himself only fueled more, and oddly energetic for the recent pain he'd been going through - the second fist was dodged, and the third. Raging further, the other beginning to spew unsavory words and threats, his onslaught continued. That is, until a fist, circled with sparks, came into contact with the bully's stomach - dropping him unconscious to the floor.[break][break]
>> Sparks? Unconscious kid? Kirk had never been more lost in his life than he was in that moment. Had he just used electricity to back himself up? The crowd that had circled around the fight seemed to be as equally stumped as he - until one called him out. "He's a gijinka!" No, it was impossible... right?[break][break]
>> His latest actions managed to land him into deep trouble, not only finding himself suspended from the school for violence, but with overly confused parents as well, wondering why he had lied to them all this time. Neither of them seemed to believe that Kirk never knew he was a gijinka either.[break][break]
>> Between no longer having anything important to do and his parents pressuring him about being a gijinka, Kirk found himself unable to handle life at home any longer - he packed up the things he found most important and ran away from home, determined to make a life for himself somewhere else. Whether or not he'd contact his parents again would remain to be seen - especially as his running landed him in Lyeant.[break][break]
>> For the next few years, Kirk found himself moving from town to town, city to city, doing mercenary work to make money in order to take care of himself - seeing as he was helping people, he didn't mind.[break][break]
>> His happiness was something to be questioned, falling to underage drinking between jobs, something to keep himself going - so he saw it. With each mission he took on, he found his team growing little by little as well, training them all with as much love as he had to offer, building each of them up as he felt he had never been built. Together, they would all be one. It was something that made him feel a little more... at peace. At home. Okay.[break][break]
>> In all honesty, he took better care of his pokemon than he ever did himself. It was this behavior and the love of his first partner that evolved her into the Sylveon she is today - if he won't take care of himself, someone has to. She became like a stand in mom, helping him to make better decisions for himself, including not flirting with everyone who showed even a single ounce of interest in him. And he was actually okay with this.
