TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!
tbe: take two! is inspired by, but not associated with nintendo's pokemon franchise. the current skin was created by pharaoh leap using font icons primarily from ion icons and fonts from google fonts. banner art by vav of pixiv. characters, with the exception of canons from the manga, belong to the members who write them, and all posts and templates on site are credited to their respective authors and artists. we claim nothing that is not ours.

hi friends.
unfortunately, i think i'm going to be joining the same boat as everyone else :( i simple don't have the time; classes and work and studying is taking up much of my time, and i told myself i'd take school more seriously. i've been burned out before and this is the likely case, my muse has been suffering a lot since i've just been so tired lately.
to all my friends i've plotted with, i'm super sorry! i don't think i'll be able to pick my characters back up until my life has calmed down. because of this, i'll give up my position as silph. co leader since my inactivity won't be able to do it justice :( if you want me to finish a thread, feel free to shoot me a pm and we can work out what happens or anything.
i'll pop in sometimes, but otherwise consider me inactive until further notice.

The slight quick of his smile disappears when she tells him what'd happened after she left--and his frown deepens when he sees the wistful smile form on her face. Like a book, Harper is easy to read, and he finds himself getting increasingly frustrated at such expressions. She doesn't regret leaving him, or her family that'd worried so much.
No matter how hard it may have been, Harper could've gotten everything back with a phone call.
Footsteps approach, and Harper's voice isn't getting any lower. She speaks louder, and he takes a cautious glance around to see that people are starting to stare. "Harper--" He starts, but she doesn't stop. She stands, demanding the attention of the people around them.
The awkwardness spreads the room, and James feels the heat on his face from second-hand embarrassment. James sighs, watching as she settles herself down again. There's a few beats of staring, what feels like forever before people finally turn back and murmur among themselves.
"Harper. Look...you may be happy, but what about me? Your family?" He says, trying to reason with thinly veiled anger. James has to be realistic. Harper is unlikely to come back now. She just needs time to think about the consequences of her actions.
"Two years. For all we know, you could've been dead."
Oooh James wouldn't mind another bodyguard, especially if it's someone like Faiz, even though he doesn't really need it, lmao. I would looooove to have an eventual fake friends --> actual friends --> betrayal-->redemption? maybe because it'd be such great character development!! we can have a pre-established relationship with them if that's better, James/Faiz going out for a drink, a business meeting on Faiz's bodyguarding or something, idc lmao! If I happen to have an idea, I'll let you know! <3
THALIA GRAYSON & james silph Ohhh I like this too! Thalia could work as a crutch for James emotionally, especially since he has so little people that he can depend on. He's probably freaked out on her more than once, and regretted it since she's always so calm about it. He'd really appreciate it and get her gifts, take her out to dinner, etc, but it'd never extend past being just really good friends. I like it! Would you like it to thread something out? :)

He links his hands together, James doesn't miss Harper's subtle movements; the quick glance in the direction of the kitchen beside them, her fidgeting in the chair's wooden surface. Harper hasn't ordered any food, unfortunately, and he's certain that she hasn't eaten lunch yet. Perhaps she'll order something later; he wouldn't mind sharing some of his food, either. It's something remiscent of the past too, but he can't help but hope.
James is someone who hates to idle around; he can't stand small talk, but here, he doesn't mind taking his time. Harper seems enthusiastic about this question, and answers it in eloquence and excitement rarely seen. At this, he nods, not angry, but not particularly happy either.
"I see." He repeats, drumming his tables along the time. He knows full well what kind of environment this is. Unlike Irisia's opulent, high tech city, New Verherna lacks any technology to make it truly efficient. Not to mention that their streets are entirely above ground, making it crowded and suffocating for someone like him.
"...No. I don't think I can." James says, lips quirking slightly. She's always known that he has a penchance for burgers and fries, and that craving has never stopped; not even in the most expenve of restuarants.
Hello!! Thank you for plotting with me uwu I really like your plot idea! I think they'd fit best as mutual fake friends, although we can totally thread to figure that out! James is rather cautious/paranoid because he's well aware of his position in Parallax and as someone who owns a big corporation, so I'd imagine that while he's friendly, he wouldn't go so far as to consider Faiz anymore than an acquaintance.
It'd take some time, but James would be able to trust him if he was persistent enough. Although James would be totally betrayed if he found out that Faiz has stolen Silph Co tech--he's very short tempered, and would likely start yelling and getting angry and everything, which might include a demand for an explanation or even cutting Faiz out of his life.
tbh, it all just depends! I think I can get a better idea if we can thread out their relationship :)))) would you like to thread?

Water drenches James completely, from the top of his head to the genuine leather of his shoes. It made a big splash--Magikarp are not weak, despite what people claim. It's just useless. James groans, flips wet hair out of his eyes, and tries fruitlessly to shake the water out of his watch. Money down the drain, all because of one mistake.
He turns to a burst of laughter, glaring from underneath his bangs. "Apparently so..." He mutters, trying to salvage what was left of his pride. James Silph would leave under any other circumstances; he doesn't need anymore media attention than necessary, especially at such an embarrassment.
"Thank you," He says, taking the cloth and drying his head. Everything else on him is practically useless at this point. "I'm unscathed..." Her laughing only serves to worsen his mood, and he'd rather not stay for long.
James wipes the last of the water off his face and offers the towel back to the girl, unaware of the girl's status. For all he knew, she was just another ordinary girl.
"Yes yes, laugh all you want, but I need to leave."

With Harper's reaction, it's obvious that she's not quite fond of his question. He shrugs, unrelenting. They've been avoiding this question for a while, and while he'd like to chat with Harper, it's been a long time coming--two years, in fact. He needs to know, and he won't stop until he does.
Unfortunately, Harper's answer wasn't what he was looking for. It left him with more questions than answers. After all, Harper came from money. She didn't need to work, nor would she have much difficulty finding a job if she wanted one--with a pull of strings and a phone call, she could've been the head of a company within a week if she wanted to.
He quirks and eyebrow, his expressions clearly of displeasure, but James reluctantly lets that pass for sake of the game, and continues. Harper's question starts out vague and indirect to him in particular--the state of Irisia. At this, James can't help but grow fond. It's his home, one that he's immensely proud to be apart of.
"It's amazing, as always. I will always appreciate its beauty--although, it always does feel like it's missing something..." He admits. Whether or not it pertains to Harper is up to her. It feels empty to be in a city so grand, although he'd be hard pressed to admit it.
James had arrived early. Punctuality is paramount in the world of business, and that's bled over to his personal life as well. He doesn't mind waiting; as long as his guests aren't overly late, and he's sure that he can count on Luci being on time--as she always is. In a time where tensions are high and trust remains a scarcity, it's comforting to know that there's someone he can depend on.
Not more than a couple minutes after six does she arrive at the table, sliding into the seat across from him. "Lovely as ever, Luci." He greets pleasantly, mirroring her and setting his own napkin on the top of his lap. James takes a glance, eyes scanning the ocean's floor for the pokemon they'd come to recognize.
"The Corsola might've moved since we were last here; but I did manage to spot a stray Eelektross hiding in that cave right there."
He points to the den across from them--the pokemon stayed out of view, but he's sure that it'll show up again, eventually. Probably. Regardless, he's sure that they'll find other pokemon as well.
"Not at all," He responds. It'd been ten minutes at most, and she's on time anyways. He listens intently as she explains; a swarm at the edge of Firefly Springs. He snickers. Reporting on pokemon appearances are the bread and butter of the news world, and he can't help but laugh lightly at Luci's inconvenience.
"Be careful, Luci. Don't fall in the lake like that last reporter." He teases, well aware of her taste in opulence. It'd be a shame to ruin it, especially in a lake as dirty as the springs. James nods at her question. He swirls soda in the glass case of his cup and grins.
"Of course--the usual for us, unless you'd like to try something new." He says, more of a courtesy than anything. Cheeseburgers and fries may not be the food for the wealthy, but it's sure as hell delicious. Life shouldn't be wasted for the expectation of other people.
When he snaps her out of her reverie by the call of her name, she flinches, her face full of fear until she manages to cover it up again. He can't help but notice such expressions, even though it'd passed by as quickly as it appeared. He taps his foot against the floor uneasily. It's worst than he's feared. James doubts that he'll be able to persuade her today, but she'll turn...eventually. He just needs to be patient.
And to be patient, he has to wait.
James doesn't remove his gaze from Harpers, watching as she swallows uneasily before laughing. She reluctantly concedes, smiling before giving him one of her old quips--just like what she would do years before.
It feels like a breath of fresh air.
It may not by all genuine, but the sentiment is there--she's trying, and that's what matters. James can't help the turn of his lips, a wistful smile on his face as he scoffs. "Thank you Harper...you always did worry too much." He teases. She used to be so sarcastic; coy. Today he's only seen her anything but--at least, until now. Perhaps that means that she's getting more comfortable. Certainly the first step out of many.
"It's fine--you're staying, and that's what matters." He says, laying his napkin on his lap. The waitress has awkwardly written down their order, and they're left alone once again.
When Harper finally meets his gaze, her eyes are strangely confident. A challenge? He looks in deeper, daring her to breake their connection. Her eyes remain full of emotions, many of which he couldn't name. It's mesmorizing, and he can't help but soak up in her attention.
"Let's play twenty questions...I'll start." He says. It's something he's often played before, when conversations stagnated into silence. "Why are you renting an apartment in the middle of Republic territory?"
The buildings of Irisia were as deep as they were tall; several stories and floors could be found underneath the ocean's waves, with thick glass panes to prevent them from breaking under pressure. James has always enjoyed the beauty of such technology; people should be the viewers to nature. Pokemon and humans can coexist, just not together. He would rather observe them from afar--something, he thinks, that Irisia has done well. Apart from that one Magikarp, at least.
He steps into the elevator, fingers pressing on the lowest button. When it falls, he turns to observe the water past glass panes. The sunlight filters out, fading away as he moves deeper into the ocean. When the elevator stops, punctuated by a single ding, the lighting has changed to someone more moody; dark. Such atmosphere is the hallmark of this restaurant.
"James Silph." He lilts politely, watching as the hostess greets him in an overly cheery tone--whether she did it exclusively for him or not, he didn't know. She leads him in, and opens the doors into their dining room, tables sparse. Few people are seated here, and it offered some privacy against prying eyes. What appealed to him most was the window they're sat next to; a pane from floor to ceiling, a coral reef settled in front of them. Blue light washes against mahogany wood, and he grins. It's soothing to see something so serene.
James slides into the seat, not bothering to glance at the menu. He's letting himself splurge on junk food just this once. He thinks he deserves it; just for today, at least.
"The usual --cheeseburgers and fries for us. Luci be here shortly."
With his order out and table settled, it's now just a matter of waiting.
James never fails to see the beauty of Irisia, a city he and his father once helped build. Its sprawling urban center lay between water and air; the capital of wealth and power. A place he likes to call home, however lonely and quiet it may be sometimes. It's barely noticable when he's kept busy. Signing papers, running from one meeting to another--it takes up much more of his time than he likes to admit. Nonetheless, James doesn't mind life being so fast all the time...but when there's a lull in his race against time, where seconds linger past their ticks on his watch, James can't help but suffocate under such idleness.
Under such circumstances, he tells himself to take a stroll.
Months and years of design should never go to waste. He breezes past the front door as quickly as he came in, leaving his suitcase on the spotless floor of his home. Leaving the estate takes only a couple minutes, and soon, he's at the park. Walkways lined with water, only protected by a fence.
He stops, leaning over the metal bar that seperated him from the water and the walkway; it would've been lovelier without the fences, but the city wouldn't be safe otherwise--that's what the Parallax believe in, after all. Safety. Security. These things sit above everything else; even Pokemon.
James Silph would normally hate to be so wistful, but he supposes that today's just an off day. He stares into the water's deep depths, catching bits and pieces of expensive, colorful coral and plant, all laid out meticulously to ensure that Irisia lived up to its name as the modern atlantis.
It's then that a bright red Magikarp appears from the water's depths, a sharp contrast to the pool of blue and white. James stares at it in a mixture of confusion and intrigue before it splashes, water flung everywhere--his face, his suit, his luxury watch.
"FUCK--" He says, just one of many expletives that had come out of his mouth at that moment.
