Evie has always been a fiery woman. Bright and vivacious and full of life as well as quick to anger with a temper that could give her Pokemon a run for their money. She appears at first to be the epitome of a spoiled brat - probably one belonging to a family of Parallax enthusiasts - but there's more to her than that. While she was orphaned in her teens, she learned to fend for herself and that gave her the somewhat childish temper that even as an adult she sports. She's fiercely passionate about the few people who are important to her and far more so about Pokemon's rights, which is why she aligned herself with the Republic.

Evie was born in a comfortable, middle-class family in the small Hoenn town of Lavaridge. She was an only child of a couple who loved and spoiled her with everything they had, encouraging her affinity for fire types and giving her all that she could ask for. While Evie cultivated her affection for her type, her parents were more broad-spectrum trainers and often went out looking for new Pokemon to add to their teams and to bring up as part of their family.

It was one October when Evie was fourteen that her parents didn't return from one of their trips and Evelyn was brought to the local Pokemon centre where she was informed by the authorities that her parents had been attacked by a rampaging group of Gyarados on the ocean. Seeking answers, Evie set out onto the ocean and challenged a wild Gyarados to a battle. Still a beginning trainer - and one of fire-types at that - she was overpowered and in it's rage it knocked her off the boat.

Panicking, she was pulled back onto the vessel by it's captain and since that moment had been deathly afraid of water and turned away completely from water typed Pokemon.

With her parents gone, Evie set out on her own adventure with her Ponyta and Cyndaquil. While she was never the toughest trainer out there, she was determined to keep herself thriving and came to find herself quite capable of street-level hypnotism. Sleight of hand and soft spoken words got her in and out of a lot of trouble - aided by the fact that she had a sweet face and an innocent look about her. She managed to convince many people that she was doing good in the world and used her learned skills to help a few people out of tight spots.

Six years she travelled Hoenn before she made her way to Alola, enjoying the sunshine and warmth of the region even more than she had that of her original in Hoenn. She spent a lot of time exploring and training until she decided to make her way to Lyeant. She was present for the fall of the region to Parallax and was outraged by the fact that the people were choosing human life over Pokemon. She'd spent so much time cultivating her relationships with her team rather than with humans that she knew she had to stand up for the rights of the Pokemon - all Pokemon - even if some of them were those she didn't like very much.

Evie joined the Republic as soon as whispers came around and has since been seeking "donations" for their cause from anyone she can, using her sweet demeanor to try and convince people to join their rebellion.
