After a trying month of protests, brutality, and raids, control over one of two of the Pokemon Association's remaining strongholds in the Lyeant region was ripped from them and placed in the hands of the Republic of Lyeant – a political faction that, while quickly growing in popularity, had never been thought of as on par with the titans of Parallax and the Association. No one knows for certain what will become of New Veherna in the hands of its new leaders, nor of the Association-ran Pokemon gym located there. What the people do know is that this marks a major milestone in a three-way battle that will rock the region for some time to come. A duo of rivals has become a trio, and with each group on equal footing in terms of power and land owned, the citizens of the region wait with bated breath for the time when one group finally manages to tip the balance in their favor. All we can wonder now is: Just who will that group be?[break][break]

As is customary for just about any roleplaying forum, we've got some goodies to pass out to newcomers to thank them for hoping on the site train just a bit earlier than the rest. Between now and January fourteenth, one lucky character in your arsenal can start out with a shiny Pokemon of your choosing in their party! This can only be one Pokemon for one character, however, so be sure to choose wisely as to who this will go to! Reply to this thread with your lucky winner so we know which shinies are a go and which ones aren't!
