Crystal had to admit that she, in these past couple months, longed for any reason to hang out with her dearest of friends in this world. That desire to get out and meet with the other dex holders and subtle loneliness, which she totally had herself and her over-dedication to her job to blame for, contrasted what she always subjected herself to every day instead, the researching of every existing pokemon species, learning all about their unique lifestyles, documenting everything, and writing various pokedex entries for the latest installments of pokedexes or pokemon encyclopedias. She also was being given the opportunity to test out new pokeball prototypes and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. She had the best career someone like herself could dream of, and she made enough that she could always donate to various orphanages and schools around the region, fulfilling her other passion for helping out children.[break][break]
Hardly even half an hour after she had gotten the call from Gold eagerly declaring that she ought to metaphorically get her face out of the books and spend some time with him, he'd already come knocking, striding through the front door of her neat little home, and was practically dragging her out, blinking in the sunlight. Well, that was fine, she decided, as she was planning on going out anyway, only on her time, she would have had perhaps ten or fifteen minutes to mentally prepare herself. "Gold, hold on! At least let me lock the house!" she exclaimed, tugging back desperately before her chance was lost to secure her home and tuck her house keys back into her bag, slinging it across her back. Now with nothing holding her back, Crystal hurried back to Gold before he decided the pace again.[break][break]
It actually hadn't stuck in her memory where they were going or if Gold had even told her where he intended for them to go together, but this was always how it was when Gold took the lead, that they were going somewhere, and that place and arrival would come to pass somehow. They made their way through the lively city of New Veherna for a short while, since it was the largest city in Lyeant. There were good spirits to be had, and Crystal was feeling the happiness of being with her friend once again, even if she had to kick him once already in the leg for catcalling a random chick on the other side of the street who happened to have sizes that made Crystal feel small. Sometimes she would realize how much trouble Gold was capable of getting in trouble without her around and seriously worry that their lifestyles apart could be catastrophic.[break][break]
"So, have you heard from Silver lately? I wonder how he's be--" Crystal began to strike up some casual topic once it seemed like the chatter of the city died down enough for them to converse casually, but was interrupted in the very next moment. Suddenly the two friends were bombarded with a living, breathing advertisement, and the term 'couple' was getting flung around to an alarming extent. "Couple!?" Crystal was the one to blurt out loud in a small voice as her face flushed with embarrassment at the unexpected accusation by this random assuming stranger. There's no doubt the thought crossed Crystal's mind a few times in the past, but she was pretty sure there was no chance the loud-mouthed savior of Johto (and Kanto) ever thought of her that way, or even saw her like any of the girls he always flirted with, and Crystal was fine to let that be.[break][break]
She heard Gold begin to formulate some epic counter speech, but instead his words were immediately registered as affirmation to the overly eager recruiter. Now the stranger was claiming that their eyes were saying so, and Crystal already was feeling like they'd been trapped with nowhere to escape. "H-Hey, wait...!" Crystal protested helplessly when suddenly her wrist was grabbed, and she was being practically dragged towards that tall building from where the stranger apparently came from. Normally, taking great offense, Crystal would have yanked back and fought as best as she could to reclaim her rights to not be touched or grabbed without her willingness, but this person's grip was... strong. And for some reason, Crystal was being overpowered physically as well as by a cruel impending fate. She hardly had words to fight back or call to Gold with just due to the sheer absurdity of the situation. Well, then again, it was just a silly stupid 'show' or something, and maybe she and Gold would get the chance to escape before it really started. Hope wasn't all lost.

Physical appearance: Crystal is most easily recognized by her dark bluenette hair tied in the perkiest pigtails you've ever seen. They tell of her high energy personality and her spunky attitude. At least, that was the description of her appearance when she was much younger. Now, as a young adult, Crystal has matured into a lovely lady whose crystal blue eyes shine with vast wisdom and great experience, and her hair style varies more often as she sometimes ties it all back while working, or lets it all down in pretty waves that reach down to her middle back on her rare, but relaxing days off.[break][break]
Outfit: She used to always wear a sporty outfit for her adventurous lifestyle, and she still won't ever hesitate to get rough and dirty to fulfill her goals, but as a professional pokémon researcher who typically works with famous professors such as Kanto's Samuel Oak, she's become more and more known for her appearance with a white lab coat. Many late nights of reviewing, writing and reading scientific papers on the research of new pokémon have weakened her eyes so that she normally wears a pair of glasses while she works, and contact lenses when she goes out into the field.[break][break]

Crystal's official dex holder title is "The Catcher" for a very good reason. Few to none can match her talent in catching pokémon and completing every single known region's pokédex sans the one-of-a-kind legendaries. She can launch a pokéball from her feet like a star soccer player with precise accuracy, and she calculates and maximizes capture rates as easily as breathing. Despite her lesser physical activity with her work as of late, she is still quite athletic and capable of moving very fast, though her stamina isn't one hundred percent of what it used to be in her adventurous, youthful days, chasing after Gold and Silver all the time as they charged face first into some other legendary pokémon's claws to save the world.[break][break]
History
Crystal was born in Violet City in the Johto region. From a very young age, she was already training very hard to develop her skills in capturing pokémon, and urged by her mother to train on Mt. Morter, However on one occasion, she was attacked by a violent wild arcanine, sending her over a cliff and injuring her arms. Unable to practice throwing the pokéball with her injured arms for a while, she learned to use her feet to kick pokéballs at her targets. It turned out that the Arcanine had attacked violently because it had a bad injury on its face which led it to ferociously defend itself. When Crystal found out and helped heal the Arcanine's injury, she befriended it and named it Arckee, and it and a few other pokémon on Mt. Morter joined her team.[break][break]
Before she met her current best friends, Gold and Silver, she was hired by Professor Oak himself to capture pokémon in return for his help in rebuilding the pokémon academy. During her journey to complete the entire Johto and Kanto Pokedex, a chikorita escaped from Professor Elm's lab and joined her party. She made an attempt to capture the legendary suicune, but failed and became depressed until she was helped out of it by her mother and some extra special physical training. Before actually meeting Gold and Silver, she met and befriended her sempai dex holder, Yellow. On a boat to Cianwood, she was attacked by Lugia. During this battle, she is saved by Gold and Silver, and the three of them all fight against Lugia, and they also failed to defeat or capture it because it had already ben captured. After this point, Crystal and Gold were sent by Professor Oak to the Pokemon League to unveil the Masked Man. There, they battled against Team Rocket and both Johto bird legendaries. With the three dog legendaries, Suicune, Entei and Raikou, Crystal tracked down the Masked Man, eventually meeting up with Silver, Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow, and they all successfully defeated the Masked Man.[break][break]
After these climactic events, Crystal completed the Kanto and Johto pokedexes, and continued working under Professor Oak. But her adventures and achievements did not stop there at all. She later went on to aide Emerald in his quest to save the dex holders turned to stone, and together, they defeated Guile Hideout. Some time passed, and the Johto dex holders were called again to fight against Team Rocket, this time to save Arceus and stop the Sinnoh Legendary trio from destroying the world under the control of Team Rocket. Crystal also helped coordinate the Kanto and Johto gym leaders and Elite four in assisting Emereald against the giant meteoroid threatening their home planet's existence. [break][break]
Probably due to their individual lifestyles and occupations, in the years since their glory days, the Johto dex holders have kept lackluster contact with one another, especially with Crystal busily aiding the professors in researching every single newly discovered pokémon species. She doesn't have much time to meet up and hang out with the others, and she regrets not spending more time catching up with their lives in recent years. As if by a calling of some powerful fate, mysterious phenomena as of late have led all of the dex holders to take up residence in the booming Lyeant region, and Crystal was definitely no exception. Rumor has it that legendaries were migrating to this region and taking human form by stealing a human host for some mysterious and unknown region, and almost every pokémon species in existence could be found and captured here, like a magnetic melting pot that attracted humans and their pokémon from all over the world.[break][break]
Crystal has done nothing but move up in her work world, becoming a well known researcher herself, so all connections in the higher pokémon network expect her to be here in the Lyeant region, studying pokémon and developing the national pokédex with every new species that is discovered, and transferring scientific reports to the regional professors.
