I love this. And Akemi's just not going to notice that they're confusing, basically, because they do this literally all the time? Akemi does look (and often act) pretty young, too. It's part coping mechanism, probably part whatever tiny shard of their human's personality they collected, and mostly just Akemi's weird personality. Children should be easier to understand than adults? Articuno. Articuno. Have you ever tried t actually play with a young child before they are baffling and also glorious.

I love all of those ideas! I love the idea of a mother/child relationship with Akemi, too, because Akemi is, like... a trainwreck. Small grass type, could use mom, please make Akemi at least mildly more practical. I'd also love a thread in which Olivia's like "hey you're Celebi" and Akemi is like "yes! Is this... is this new?" And really, having them be a combination of cute and manipulative is honestly the best possible thing? ~~Although Akemi will always make a terrible rival, because they'd just not get it.~~ Do you want to go ahead and start a thread, or should I?

Okay, so Akemi is occasionally the most clueless person ever and would probably fail to notice even the most blatant of manipulations. Their opinion on healing even the worst of people is "as long as you ask and don't literally force me to do it using the feathers of the rainbow bird and deep ocean bird I'll do it". This is, unfortunately, also their current opinion on things like actual time travel, though they WILL stop it if it gets to be something that will get Dialga mad at them. That, and there's always the risk, without the feathers of Lugia and Ho-oh, of getting lost in time and going insane if you're not actually Celebi. Which Akemi is. Actually Celebi. 100% Celebi, in fact, without even a shred of the previous human soul there. So to the kind-of-Magearna that is Olivia, there's probably something off about Akemi. Noticeably off. I mean, other than their tendency to start talking about things that haven't happened and weird healing powers.

But here's the thing- I've decided that, mostly, Akemi has completely forgotten to mention that they're a literally ageless legendary that has always existed, will always exist, and might have a base age that's older than most legendaries due to excessive time travel, having lived through a few time loops, ect. Nope. They just assumed they'd already mentioned it. (They hadn't.) So I imagine some shennanigans go on before one of the intelligent Crowns is like "wait, healing, plants, time travel, I'm a legendary and reacting to them, they keep on getting called "Celi" by Pandora... wait..." And Akemi would just be like "I already told you?" It'll be fun.

But yeah. Manipulate the time god to your heart's content, only consequences will be that you'll end up with a Meganium glaring at you quite often. Because, if anything, Orchid at least is sensible. Too bad she's a Pokemon.

So. I have it in my head, especially after reading your post in the Crowns thread, that Akemi knows perfectly well that Laney is Articuno, and has simply forgotten to mention that they're actually Celebi. So Akemi is hanging out and everyone's just like "who is this really weird kid, they're clearly magical or something but

??". They're not even wilfully hiding! Heck, they like the big blue bird, they helped Akemi out a little bit before! Akemi just probably assumed Laney knew when... no... no not at all... Akemi you're doing the thing again... Beyond that: Akemi is basically the weirdest not-actually-a-child ever and could totally be the worst influence on Articuno, due to their tendency to forget which things belong in which eras if asked directly. This would not help Articuno figure out what's going on. Nor would Akemi's occasional accidental timeline-hopping to the future, given that there's a high likelihood, when hopping through time, that Akemi will accidentally hit things that will now never happen, and...

...It will be a confusing mess and it will be glorious. What do you say?

Akemi was in a little bit of a mood. It wasn't really anyone's fault in particular, it was just... they didn't think they'd have to stand up here in front of so many other people, was all. They didn't think they'd have to put on fancy clothes, instead of the half-torn, very dirty jacket and hat they normally wore. They also weren't exactly as happy as they could get about having to sit through this fancy speech, either. Someone should have warned them that they'd have to do this after they decided to join the Crown, was all! They had to wear a fancy outfit and walk behind Sees Things in Water and act all good and stuff.[break][break]

It had really been something of an accident that Akemi had wound up in the Crown, anyway. Akemi had been spending an unusual amount of time in Firefly Springs. They were in a self-imposed exile into Lyeant, but even as a creature without a true homeland (or home time), Celebi still missed small things about Ilex Forest and the Hidden Land both. Mostly the forest bits, honestly, but also just... there was something about those places that made everything easier for Celebi. They supposed they kept on gravitating towards Firefly Springs because of that- it was a relatively secluded, life-filled forest. Certainly more fun than the cities sometimes seemed- although other times, the cities filled Akemi with such wonder that they lost their ability to think about it very well. A certain glory stood in them, you know? One was underwater. Akemi wondered what Lugia and Kyogre thought about that. It made them kinda amused, actually, to think about it...[break][break]

But anyway! They'd been in Firefly Springs, and then suddenly there were all these tents? Or at least, a place to put tents? And there were hurt people there. So Akemi didn't think. They just started doing what they did best- the healing magic that came with being the time spirit of the forest. They'd been so ensconced in both twisting time as was necessary, getting periodic Aromatherapy from Orchid (only after refusing to take a break yet), and maybe accidentally doing a little too much time traveling that they'd just... kind of forgotten other people were there. Forgotten until they felt the artificial turning deep in someone's soul. The... the pink one! The pink metal one! Akemi hadn't met the pink metal one very often, but they were there![break][break]

And then they'd been asked if they wanted to help. There was something about being a magician and following the Sees Things in Water, but Akemi didn't really care about that. Actually, they didn't entirely care about things like this in general. (They still didn't really know what an "Association" was, only that it made them somewhat more able to enter all places instead of just a few, so it was best for helping people to say that they were part of whatever that meant. They thought, though, that it had to do with the Red and Blue and GOLD ones, at least a little bit?) They just realized- hey. Maybe it would be better if, for a little bit, they tried to heal things with other people?[break][break]

(Maybe they could shatter through those fixed Time Gears and Akemi wouldn't feel so... so... useless.)[break][break]

So Akemi had started popping in and out of where the Crown was, quietly, just doing what they always did- showing up as the clock brought them and trying to help out where they could and hey it was kind of a relief that someone had just asked for once and hey it was kind of a relief that at least one other person seemed to understand what Akemi was trying to do and hey they didn't mind it, that much, even if they kept on talking to people all wrong and accidentally showed up on the wrong day at least twice (once to be too late, once to be too early, both equally confusing).[break][break]

Besides, the Pink Metal one and the Big Blue Bird were both here. It couldn't be that bad, right?[break][break]

Except! Except it apparently meant Akemi had to be still while Sees Things in Water and the Pink Metal one kept on saying things. They weren't even necessarily things the (very child-like) legendary disagreed with! It was just... so... boring! And while Akemi tended to look rather stoic on the outside, they were not a creature meant to be still in time or space. There was a reason only the GS ball could capture an unwilling Celebi, and it had much to do with the fact that they were inherently unstuck in time- and, as it turned out, inherently incapable of staying still. They would have left if they could get away with it, but Orchid, ever the responsible member of Akemi's party, had physically carried Akemi here, saying that "if you decided to join an organization without checking what any of the requirements were, at least put in the minimum effort on the parts you don't like too," and then Akemi couldn't just say no.[break][break]

Why did humans care so much about things like crowns anyway? Normally, a bunch of people just died around crowns and Akemi disliked that most of all. The name... Akemi hadn't gotten anyone to really understand the name, anyway.[break][break]

But they stayed. Because two other legendaries were here. Because they could help even more people, this way. Because Sees Things in Water was something interesting to the time-traveling legendary, and even if Akemi wasn't ever going to be the most devoted member of the Crown, they at least wanted to help this person who could look a little bit into the cracks of time. Because that day, when they'd joined, someone had leaned down and told Akemi that they could do a lot of good and Akemi wouldn't just not help people. They couldn't do that.[break][break]

But did their outfit HAVE to be so stuffy? At least Pink Metal one had mostly stopped talking now! They would have spoken up, except they could just feel Orchid's look from within the Pokeball. It must not be an acceptable question? Humans were weird sometimes.
