Clarity was born a normal young girl. She was born to two professors in Lumiose City. Growing up, she lived a comfortable life.

⇨When she was five, her family on vacation to Alola. During their vacation, the family took a trip to a canyon spot on a more remote island at the insistence of her mother who wanted to study the island before leaving. It was at this time when Clarity wandered off due to being bored. She wound up falling down into a series of caves. The girl found herself alone in a tunnel. During her wandering, she slipped further in and hit her head. Slowly, the girl died in the small tight space of the tunnel.

⇨This was when Cosmog possessed her body. After possessing the body, it tried to climb out of the cave but found themselves unable to climb on the slippery surface. They fell again and again. They were down there for several days before the rescue team found them. Whether from the trauma from the falls, the enclosed dark place or perhaps being a newly made being, Cosmog was unable to remember anything.

⇨Cosmog, or Clarity now, was taken back to the Kalos region by her 'parents'. They did their best to teach Clarity everything she needed to know. It took a couple of years, but she was back to 'normal' soon enough with their guidance.

⇨Unfortunately, her father blamed her mother for the incident and the two divorced. Clarity remained with her father as her mother went off to do field research.

⇨Clarity then lived a rather normal life. She went to school and even got her own Pokemon. After several years of studying, the girl found herself heading to a new region to study it and act as a professor's assistant.
