TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

we're officially re-opened! come check out our event, the pokeathlon forever to enjoy some fresh restart activities. let leap know if there are any skin bugs, and they'll be sorted out accordingly!
Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!
tbe: take two! is inspired by, but not associated with nintendo's pokemon franchise. the current skin was created by pharaoh leap using font icons primarily from ion icons and fonts from google fonts. banner art by vav of pixiv. characters, with the exception of canons from the manga, belong to the members who write them, and all posts and templates on site are credited to their respective authors and artists. we claim nothing that is not ours.
IK I can always message you for plots but I don't want to risk forgetting?
So I'm definitely looking forward to a 'Past AU' thread where Olivia sees Lane alive for the first time and it's just constant awkward tension between the two. Lane/Articuno probably has a reason prepared to explain how they survived, but is vaguely concerned at this weird sense they're getting from Olivia/Magearna. Not to mention that Articuno is still adjusting to their new vassal and is obviously going to do some things 'off', and there are probably going to be times where Lane's soul is so weak that they can't access Lane's memories at all and that's going to be a fun time :')
In general, I think Lane sees Olivia as a 'cool boss', so they aren't really friends but they are casual coworkers that don't have to force themselves to be super professional around each other. idkk I think it'd be funny if Olivia asked Lane to interview potential recruits and the two just hang in the back and trash talk a bunch of NPCS we make up. or plots about trying to expand the crown's connections would be cool? use lane to do science things that mutually benefit other people. or just use lane to look good in social situations lane doesn't want to be in like 'shh just stand there, use big words, and look smart and important'
we could also have a private IM thread where lane keeps oliva up to date on their progress in the group and every now and then lane spills the tea without realizing it's tea :^ )))

[attr="class","myblyric"]Your body's built just like a weapon and you're using it
"I'm not really a plant person", they said.
"I think someone else would be better suited for the job", they continued to say.
"Please don't leave me alone with the corn I heard they have ears--" And as one of the Crown's advisors walked off, Lane was stuck as a supervisor for one of the Crown's local gardens. The task was casually introduced as a research opportunity to promote sturdier vegetables that could grow and survive in the wreckage of the war. Feeding the hungry was a worthy cause as any, so Lane heartedly agreed, thinking that the knights would take part in doing the manual labor.
But now, with hefty, well-worn gardening gloves on, Lane was on their knees pulling weeds. Lane wouldn't describe the garden as 'large', but for a single person, it was an awful lot of work. This was one of several garden plots that was being used to provide food for refugees, and Lane assumed that at the very least they'd send a knight to help pull the trickier weeds, because they sure as hell couldn't yank some of these out even with a shovel. The roots were the real problem, making it tricky to get every bit out when they started to weave into the roots of the main plants.
With a heavy sigh, they wiped the sweat off their brow and took a glance about the garden. At least they had one little helper hiding somewhere in the field. "Hey, Professor?" They asked, and the wispy head of a Castform suddenly popped out from between the corn stalks with a mischievous 'BOO!'
Lane straight-faced it as best they could, but the corner of their lips cracked a smile. Dammit, they just kept enabling the Castform to do as it pleased. "Make sure you're spreading your Rain Dance as I told you. We don't need it to rain over the entire camp, or even the entire garden..." Dusting themselves off, they gestured for the Castform to follow them. The dampened streaks on the soft earth made it clear where the Castform was conducting its rain clouds, even leading up to the point where Professor decided to hide and give Lane a spook. From what Lane could tell, Professor just made a bunch of zigzags before giving up and deciding that the time was ripe to play games.
Figures.
[attr="class","mybnotes"]Akemi Ocasio Surprise gardening!! I figured with this intro they could either stick around the garden or the pair could get bored and decide to goof off/treat themselves. Or anything really!

Is...is Orchid in the tree with you? How in the

Shame technology hasn't advanced far enough to translate Pokemon cries into Emoji so that Orchid can participate more. There should be an app for that.

Akemi Ocasio LOL Other than the pokedex kids setting the bar pretty high, I'm gonna assume no...this bird is in for a surprise.
I can start a thread either tomorrow or the day after! Mostly bc I work late hours tomorrow so writing can be tricky. Any preference for the setting? I was thinking of having Lane do some chores around camp and bump into Akemi, or maybe have them do something related to the IM thread? I'm up for anything!

I need better anti-bug nets. Woke up to a wild Spinarak staring at me from the top of the tent and I don't care if it's a myth but I do not want to even attempt to fill my quota of eating 4 spiders a year in my sleep.

Are you safe in the tree or do you need an adult to get you down?
I am so for this for many reasons. Lane isn't going to understand WHY they feel this tension between them and Nerea, but it's there and Lane is going to contribute to it because "What we're here ALIVE in the flesh aren't we? Can't handle being WRONG? Maybe you'd like a little science lesson in not being a bit--" ...anyways.
And this is how they'd bicker probably? very passive aggressive and not totally cooperative, but damn if Olivia Valentine Mahgaden doesn't reel them in to complete missions together. Articuno just wants everyone 2 be honest but doesn't care enough to be polite so shit like this happens. :^ ) We should still do the paper crown thing in an attempt for them to get along and be friends, but the two just kinda tsun around it. I THINK THEY SHOULD EVENTUALLY BECOME FRIENDS but it needs to have this rocky road.
and how dare you lure me in with lesbians you vile temptress!!!! i swear i didn't post bc you mentioned lesbians I SWEAR.
HI!!! I'm so happy you replied here because I was totally eager to send you a PM or haunt your plotter. I'm super excited about all these timey-wimey shenanigans where Lane has absolutely no idea what Akemi is talking about, only for it to dawn on them MUCH MUCH later and they just stare at Akemi in absolute wonder. I want Articuno to figure it out and have that dawning moment but until then they're just like "what is this CHILD and how do they know more than ME, who lived MANY MANY YEARS?? >: (((( "
Sign me up for this glorious mess. I also think specifically because Akemi looks so young that Lane is going to let their guard down around them and be nicer to them. Children are easier to understand than adults, which is Articuno's logic. Except this is Akemi and there is nothing easy to understand about this situation LOL.
I'd love a 1 on 1 thread somewhere to see how we can build on that.

[nospaces][break][break]
GIBBS
SHARPEDO ■ MALE ■ ROUGH SKIN ■ NAUGHTY
Not Lane's first Pokemon, but certainly one of the most used. Gibbs is the offspring of one of Lane's first test subjects, which died prematurely in the wild. Out of sentimentality, they captured Gibbs and raised him to assist with both their research & survival. [break][break]
Gibbs has a morbid sense of humor, and tends to have ill-timing for his jokes/pranks. He sees Lane as a substitute parent and only backs down when they're absolutely serious. His favorite joke is asking for cuddles while knowing that his Rough Skin ability is likely to hurt his victims. He has an abundance of energy and needs to battle once a day to keep from chewing on his lips.
Lane's first Pokemon that stuck by their side since childhood. Their memories of Stein are the fondest; captured at age 13 during a family fishing trip, after battling it with the help of their parent's Linoone. [break][break]
Stein is typically used to assist with capture & recording information. She might not express it much, but Stein adores being spoiled and pampered. Doesn't always have much to say, but expresses herself with salutes, handshakes, and can make a heart shape out of her tentacles. If she's feeling particularly humorous, she'll wink at Lane.
Obtained as a Christmas Present from an ex-girlfriend in an attempt to stay friends. Lane sees Burn as too young and precious to use in battle, and instead has him help out as support whenever a situation looks as if it is about to escalate. Heal Pulse to heal injuries, Encore to keep Pokemon from using attacking moves, and Friend Guard to reduce the pain. [break][break]
Burn is young and full of promise, but holds many insecurities compared to the other Pokemon that are able to fight and survive in these trying times. Staying hopeful is difficult, but he tries his best for everyone to be their moral support. Lane sometimes collects keychains for Burn to play with, and he delights in jingling them like instruments.
Received from Hoenn's Weather Institute due to Lane's contributions to better understanding wild Sharpedo's behavioral patterns with changes to the weather. With attacks like Rain Dance, Thunder, and Hurricane, the Professor is capable of simulating various rain-based weather patterns to help Lane's research. [break][break]
The Professor is a devilish pair with Gibbs, since they both take great joy in teasing their victims. A little rain dance here and there to dampen your mood sends the Castform into a fit of giggles. Sometimes it'll use a Thunder for a dramatic background effect whenever someone says something shocking. Professor is a wily bundle of laughs and gags, but gets surprisingly serious when it can't take what it dishes out.
Adopted from the 'LAB RATTATA FOR RESCUE' organization that attempts to rehabilitate rodents used in unethical experiments. Doob was used in experiments that forced him to activate his Guts ability in an attempt to give Pokemon the 'Guts' boost without the status effects.[break][break]
Despite his past trauma, Doob is an upbeat rescue that sleeps through most of the day with ease. By night, he's crunching down on snacks stolen from his neighbors and risking capture from guards time and time again. His morals are skewed, but he insists that anything can be the right thing to do as long as it ensures your survival. He's also a total lap rat and will cuddle up to any human that feeds him. Because of this, Lane often labels him 'a dirty traitor'.
Rescued as an egg in the wild. Believed to have been abandoned by its fleeing or injured parents during one of many civil wars, Lane tucked the egg in their arms and ran to safety. [break][break]
Shy and ready to cry, Ms.President is the first to run at the sight of danger. Lane suspects that the events the Pres endured as an egg gave her a heightened Anticipation ability, causing the Croagunk to get dizzy and go pale at the worst-case scenario. While not much of a trainer, Lane tries to have Ms.President battle alongside Gibb in an attempt to build confidence in the young frog.
Not particularly involved in the training aspect, but enjoys raising Pokemon without too much discipline. Tries to give them relaxed, easy-going lifestyles whenever possible. Pokemon, like people, can be test subjects and must be treated with respect.
