TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!

He was right, of course. Joking always had been one of her less favorable defensive tactics when it came to dealing with... well, anything. The only time she hadn't immediately gone to joking to cope with something was then the Imum War had taken four of her best friends from her. Only Moxie and Dex remained from that original group now, and she knew they could see how much that loss still weighed on her sometimes. She blamed her own incompetence as a trainer above all else for what had happened, even though there was no way for her to reverse such things. She listened silently as Jae spoke, her stance speaking both of contemplation and attentiveness as he did so. The discussion had turned far more serious than she had really ever been comfortable with, though something told her that she wouldn't really be able to change that to any true degree anytime soon.
"I'm persistent to a fault. It's part of what landed me a spot on the League," she stated simply, looking back up at him with red eyes. Her ears flicked beneath her hat, the fabric shifting just slightly to herald the action as Omni followed the Axew off. The shelled creature was a bit slow comparatively, but he was nothing if not every bit as persistent as his trainer. "I probably wouldn't even be in Lyeant were in not for that persistence." She had the vague, biting thought that perhaps Jae would've liked if she'd never made it to Lyeant. If she'd just given up halfway through. She forced these thoughts back, beating them down as quickly as she did her depressive urges for the first half year after they had died.
She shifted her thoughts away from that topic again. Best for everyone that she didn't allow herself to dwell on it any longer.

She still couldn't say she was surprised. His reactions and responses had been the same no matter how many times she'd tried this attempt at conversation, though by contrast he was at least talking to her. Honestly she wasn't sure which was better: him being a silent, untalkative prick or him actually bothering to speak to her for once. Truth be told, she did rather appreciate that she was finally managing to learn just a tad bit about him. She could only nod as he mentioned the corruption that seemed rampant in society- she'd seen it herself, after all. She saw it in the eyes of business executives, of select members of the Association. It saddened her to no end, but there wasn't a whole lot she could do about it. She sighed, allowing the full gravity of his words to sink in before nodding slightly. Of course he'd taken an issue with her initial flirting. She should've anticipated as much anyway, though it wasn't like she had complete control over absolutely everything that came out of her mouth.
"I guess I should apologize for my initial behavior then," she spoke softly, closing her eyes slightly. If anything she couldn't keep herself from pitying Jae. A life without any sort of meaningful companionship wasn't a very good life to live. If anything it was an immensely lonely one. "Solemn discussion has never been my forte. Even when I was a kid I had a tendency to make jokes and keep things as happy as possible."
Perhaps that's why their memory still weighs so heavily upon you... You've never taken the time to let this happy facade drop long enough to properly grieve for them. The thoughts came unbidden, and she flinched ever-so-slightly as they surfaced, memories dragging themselves up with them. She opened her eyes just slightly, enough that she wouldn't have to stare at the recollections of the Imum War playing back against the inside of her eyelids. Everyone had lost so much during that... not even she'd been spared, and try as she might she still bore the scars.
"Regardless, I do hope that you'll be able to look past my... initial transgressions eventually, even though I'm not going to be taking any of what I said back," she said, opening her eyes and looking up at him as she spoke. A faint ember burned within her eyes, evidence not only of her heritage as a Gijinka but also her constant determination. She'd break through to him- even if it killed her in the process.
After all. Nobody deserved to live alone, and even in the company of Pokemon it never hurt to have another companion alongside you.

She shrugged. She could already hear the storm rolling in.
"True, but you know for a fact that isn't going to stop me from trying~," she said, the happy tone in her voice only slightly less prominent. Jae's words were as sharp as ever, though if she was one to give up the moment something turned painful then she would've made for a very piss poor Gym Leader indeed. "...And you can't be a cactus forever. Eventually some of those spikes have to come off, and I'll be happy to fill the empty space." She wondered for only a moment why she called him a cactus, and then instantly remembered.
It's cause he was thorny, unpleasant piece of shit.
The thought was far more aggressive than she'd intended, but in all fairness that is indeed what he was. Cold, uncaring, and a blatant asshole that could rival the best of them. Hell, she could wager a fair bet that Jae would've given her last boyfriend a damn good run for his money, if not send the cheating bastard home in tears with his tail between his legs. The thoughts in itself was a fun one, and the clouds stopped their progress. She looked over as Omni made a chirping noise, and she smiled as she extended her left arm out a bit more. The small creature, of course, took this as ample opportunity to jump the gap twixt Rebecca's hand and Jae Hyun's arm, only barely managing to securely stick to the legendary before Omni began his slow climb up to the top of Jae's shoulder. It was the single most adorable thing Rebecca had ever seen, and she never got tired of witnessing it.
Granted, she had always hoped that Omni would find some way to make it significantly less dangerous, but that little one was about as reckless as they came. She sighed as she let her arm drop down, turning her gaze from Omni over to Jae. "I'm going to assume by 'advances' you meant 'any attempt to foster more cordial relations'. Meaning any offers of my buying you coffee or something are probably going to be rather harshly turned down, if not flat out ignored." She shook her head. "Honestly. I don't know who the hell hurt you bad enough to make you this unwilling to let someone try to be friendly with you, but I'd personally like to ask them what in the hell they were thinking."

Rebecca nodded, absently reaching a hand up to give Omni more surface to crawl on as he got to her wrist. She had her right arm held parallel to the ground as a result, the small Pokemon crawling over onto her left hand before she turned the appendage to give a smirk and a knowing gaze to the shelled creature before turning Omni back towards Jae. "I probably couldn't keep this little guy away from here for too long even if I wanted to. I daresay you have a fan," she make the statement with the same trademark smirk, her eyes glinting slightly as she gazed at Jae. She smiled at Jae's Axew for a moment before turning her attention back to the Gijinka himself.
"So are you still set on the whole 'all business' shtick or am I eventually going to get you to be a little less thorny?" Her words weren't exactly sweet, but there was a bit of an affectionate overtone to them nonetheless. She'd tried talking to Jae on multiple occasions already, though they mostly ended in her stopping midway through a sentence due to a casted glare or some other negative reaction. In fact, she vaguely remembered almost leaving this place in tears one afternoon. Gods that day had just been awful, a complete opposite to the day she'd had today. Truth be told, she still expected a thorny look or disinterested insult. Every once in a while she could've sworn she was coming here out of enjoyment of the abuse, but deep down she knew that was little more than a bullshit excuse to help her deal with it.
"Cause I'm honestly starting to get a bit too used to this routine. I come in, you glare, I hand Omni to you, you glare, then give Omni a look that isn't] a glare. I mention it, and you glare. I'd like to see just a little bit of friendly emotion from you one of these times." Once again, she expected the routine to continue. She says or does something: glare. Same response, though usually with the variance of a half-hidden insult here or there depending on what it was she'd said. In fact, she wouldn't be particularly surprised if he shot at her with thorns and nails this time too, though while she was anticipating it she couldn't exactly say that meant it would hurt any less when it actually happened. And that was when, not if.
She'd dropped Omni off enough times to know that Jae was essentially salt incarnate.

A few blocks down the road, a certain Gym Leader was actually having a good day for once. She'd managed to wake up early, get dressed way ahead of schedule, and she didn't have to listen to anyone drone on and on in one meeting or another, so she had more time than usual to put on one of her random performances in Eirenhyre before making the walk to Veherna. Travelling was sort of a pastime for her now, and what with the remarkable speed she could do so it was easy enough to just pop between cities, say hi to people, and then bunker down in one of her too-many apartments. Though she guessed that was probably because Moxie made for a surprisingly fast land vehicle. The apartments, well... being a celebrity has its perks.
One of which came into view a few minutes later. There was a bit of a bounce in her step due to how well it had been going, and with her Omanyte seated firmly on her shoulder. Omni was even catching a bit of the joy too, which considering how contagious Rebecca's moods tended to be, it made sense. Though really what she was most looking forward to was coming up almost immediately. There was a certain employee at the daycare here she'd been watching rather keenly for some time. He was a bit rough, sure, but she could wager a few guesses as to why that was. Unfortunately, being shoved away wasn't her strong suit, and from what she'd seen of this man's previous interactions- as well as the indifferent, almost mocking stare he gave her every time she walked in- she could wager a fair bet that if anything were to bring in the rain, he'd be the one to do it.
Can't say I particularly mind that notion, she thought. Admiration didn't exactly cut it, though endearment was too strong a word. She was very appreciative of his company, and wanted to get to know him a tad better. Maybe brighten his day up a bit and make it so he wasn't so grumpy all the damn time. Hell, she was fairly certain that the only highlight his day had was when she brought Omni in. If anything, he seemed to enjoy her favorite creature on the planet.
Have to admit, it's a welcome contrast to the usual scenario, she stated silently. The usual situation was, of course, her being the object of all the affection. As stated before, being a celebrity had perks... but also downsides. Being a Gym Leader on top of that had a tendency to put her a bit high on the Name Drop list, probably only under the Elite Four members and the Champion themselves.
The bell above the door to the daycare rang as Rebecca entered, Omni emitting a happy chirp as Jae came into view moments later. "Not interrupting anything important, am I?" she asked curiously. She's seen the other male a few times, though she didn't know him well enough for a name to stick. Nevertheless she made the inquisition with a small wave, her Omanyte already making its way down her arm in the direction of its usual caretaker.

Truth be told, Rebecca had very little idea as to what exactly she was doing in New Veherna anyway. Nostalgia, maybe? She didn't truly know, all she remembered was that she had started walking, picked a direction out of boredom- because it wasn't like anyone was going to be getting to Erayo City anytime soon- and just started moving. Amara had, of course, relayed Dex's always wise words of wisdom as to the dangers of wandering off into unknown territory, but Rebecca had survived long enough without heeding those words that she didn't particularly see why she needed to start heeding them now. Besides, Omni was at the daycare, and she really doubted anyone would mind letting her adorable little Omanyte spend more time over there than usual. If anything, a specific someone may have even been able to enjoy themselves a little more.
Rebecca couldn't help but smile at the memory of catching that male showing her Omanyte a bit of affection. She'd always thought him to be so thorny and off-putting. Maybe she'd go about trying to give him a chance after all when she next had to drop Omni off. Regardless of her reverie, however, she was on constant alert within the city of New Veherna. Ever since the Republic had taken if from the Association, she'd heard rumors that the crime rate had only skyrocketed- hence why she was sporting an entirely new outfit as she wandered around in town. For her own safety, she'd opted to wear a black Sinn Unto Stone t-shirt alongside a simple pair of jeans and her old boots. It was Veherna, so she wasn't too concerned with her Gijinka traits being left open so long as she kept herself out of the known seedier parts of town, and she always had her party clipped to her belt anyway- though they were all currently hidden under the hem of her shirt.
She didn't know why, but she had always rather enjoyed being in Veherna. Besides the overabundance of violence, of course. It had an atmosphere that reminded her of only few other places in the world, though that wasn't to say Irisia didn't remind her of a few pleasant places too, and truth be told while she liked being in Eirenhyre, it reminded her just a bit too much of Jubilife for her to really stick around too terribly long. Be that as it may, she was currently taking a bit of a leisurely stroll through one of Veherna's parks, taking in the scenery and allowing herself just a smidge of time to properly relax. Her tail swayed behind her with each step, something that had a tendency to draw as many eyes as it did would-be courters into her midst. Unfortunately, she'd developed a bit of a cold heart when it came to turning people down. Too many lovers and too many broken hearts probably did that to her, not that she was one to particularly let it bother her. Honestly speaking, she didn't really let anything bother her. That was probably why she was always so happy even in the face of all the soul-crushing angst she had every logical right to feel most of the time.
Unfortunately, she didn't even have the time to further ponder that before she was assailed by a woman who was quite obviously also a Gijinka, and if a guess could be wagered she was a Fennekin. Another Fire-type, Rebecca noted, a bit of joy in her mental tone. It wasn't too often she was able to meet another Gijinka, let alone one who shared her type. Granted, the request the girl made was rather... strange, and Rebecca knew instinctively that Dex would probably warn her off of the path she was probably going to choose.
Granted, she didn't seem to have a choice anyway, and simply shrugged.
"Alright, cool. Fuck it, let's go." Her words were rather passive now that she heard them, the air of 'fuck it' actually tangible around her. If anything, what this girl had in mind probably counted as vandalism. That may be worth something at the very least.

Rebecca smiled, catching sight of the Pokeball at the kid's side. A trainer then, though particularly how good she didn't know. She'd seen all sorts during her time as a Gym Leader already, and even more so when she'd been on tour. She patted the side of Dex's large, rectangular head with a bit of affection. It looked like this kid had never been outside of Alola then, though she was still making an assumption there. "Dex here is what's known as a Bastiodon. It's the final evolution stage of Shieldon. They're not too terribly common nowadays, so I'm not surprised you've never seen one," Her tone was clear, one of a type of confidence that really only ever came from being a Gym Leader. Not only that, but her recent impromptu show and just overall reputation within Lyeant meant she was still getting stares from people that passed. Being in Eirenhyre, it made sense. This was where the Association was headquartered, so of course people would be familiar with the League members.
She surveyed Hau for a bit. He had potential, definitely, though judging by his general stance he wasn't confident in his abilities as a Trainer. At the same time, though, Dex had taken the volition to wander over here towards him, so that meant at the very least that this stranger was a kind soul... or had some sort of food on him. Rebecca almost sighed aloud at the latter. She couldn't recall how many times Dex had imposed on other people for the tiniest morsel, and she'd always have to apologize for it. It had gotten a bit better after the Imum War, but she wasn't too sure that was a good thing. Even Moxie had changed slightly after that.
After a moment Rebecca spoke again, "If you don't mind my asking, what's your name?" she asked. She almost expected him to know her's, though considering he was out-of-region it wasn't going to surprise her if he didn't. After all, her tour had gone through Alola a good two years ago now, and she hadn't released an album since. A few singles, yes, but nothing particularly substantial.

Another day, another chance to show off. As arrogant as the statement itself was, Rebecca herself took it in a direction that was far from narcissistic, especially when one noted that her way of doing that was grabbing a guitar, and amp, and setting up shop right in the middle of town before beginning quite possibly the longest guitar solo of her life. Granted Rehlgar wasn't half bad using Dex as a drum, and the light show created by combining Sam and Amara's abilities may as well have made the Gym Leader a coordinator as she rocked line after line, improvising an entire song right then and there, and even making nods once in a while before actually playing a few songs from her solo albums. This square in particular filled with music, and onlookers, so quickly the Wildcard almost swore that Red himself had been announced in her spot.
As it was it wouldn't have surprised her, though as she launched into her fifth solo of the entire performance she was way more swept up in her music to give much thought to it. The crowd was more than happy to provide, and she spotted a few somewhat familiar faces intertwined within the mix. No doubt individuals that had been to many of her gigs in Lyeant before the war, and Rebecca shifted her footing again as she played, changing notes so quickly she almost couldn't keep track of her fingers. The solo picked up alongside the song, and as Rebecca's notes climbed, so too did the din of the cheers that erupted as a result, the final note of the solo ringing out triumphantly as Rebecca immediately set up to the mic an onlooker had been kind enough to bring out, belting out the last remaining lines of the song before ending it all with a single chord, her arm swinging in an exaggerated motion as ice and small embers rained down from overhead onto her. She held the pose for a few moments before visibly relaxing, waving at a few bystanders before walking over near Amara and grabbing the bottle of water set there. Wonderful thing about an Ice-type Pokemon was they kept your drinks cold.
As the crowd dispersed, Rebecca returned the mic and stand to its owner before moving back to her own party, Amara, Rehlgar and Sam returning to their Pokeballs as Rebecca moved over to rest up against Dex, the Bastiodon making a small noise of appreciation that rumbled through his entire being. Rebi reached up and patted him as thanks for letting Rehlgar use him as an instrument alongside the pavement. It was surprising how well Dex sounded, and were it not for the fact that Rebecca was by and large a purist with actual production she'd have contemplated making the pair official band members rather than just her party members.
Granted they'd been through enough that they were family as well. Rebecca let her gaze sweep over the people passing by for a few moments before standing slowly, putting her guitar back in its case before slinging the strap over her shoulder and across her back, grabbing the amp and looking over at Dex. She sighed, walking over to him before bending down to speak to him. "Alright big guy, we've gotta get moving." She said with a smile, the large Pokemon making another deep sound before slowly bringing itself to its feet.
Rebecca turned, catching sight of a boy not too far off from her current position. Having been to the region, and judging by the male's overall appearance, she wagered a guess he was Alolan, though she hadn't any idea how long he'd been there. She gazed at him for a few moments before motioning for Dex to follow and beginning to walk. Dex followed slowly, but stopped when they got close to the boy. Dex stared at him for a moment before Rebecca glanced back, moving over to the pair with a slightly exasperated sigh and a smile.
"Well, looks like someone wants to meet you," she said politely as she approached.

Formed by the lone Rebecca Sinn two years prior to the Imum War, Sinn Unto Stone is a modern rock/hard rock band that has been something of a pet project for the now-Gym Leader since she was a kid. With multiple albums dominated by covers and various original tracks, the rocker made her home in Lyeant shortly after finishing her last tour, almost immediately after which the Imum War broke out, sweeping her and her team up in the process. While Sinn Unto Stone has since dropped off the face of the planet, recent interviews with the former rock artist have revealed plans to bring the name back to the forefront of the rock music industry, and so it was that Rebecca began to find musicians across Lyeant to introduce into her fold.[break][break]
With a musical style that mixes the heavy rock riffs and tones of the heavier metals found within the boundaries of Sunyshore City in Sinnoh with a dynamic, punk rock vocal tone and ever-ageless rock beats, Sinn Unto Stone is a band once again seeking to carve its name into every wall and heart the world over- and back again.

Wild and unpredictable, the individual known as Rebecca Sinn isn't exactly the type one would think to lay trust in on any day of anything. While this is certainly a wise decision in its own right, it also is a bit of a tell on just how little someone pays attention to her antics. Rebecca herself, while jokingly considered to be "off her rocker" by those who've known her longest, is a dependable individual on her own, much like the Pokemon Type she covets so dearly. She has a flair for the dramatic, and since she was young she had always dreamed of having her name in lights, be they the shining lights of show times in Saffron City, or the lights of a tournament screen in a Pokemon Gym. She's a bit of reflexive flirt as well, which has a tendency to earn her friends faster than most people would like her too, and she's had her fair share of unsuccessful relationships. She has an undying love of music, preferably that of the more modern variety, and quite literally battles to her own tempo, with can accelerando or ritardando just as unpredictably as her own actions in battle.

Raised within the town of Sunyshore, Rebecca spent much of her life surrounded by music and Pokemon of all kinds, though as a Gijinka the latter is to be expected. Specifically during her time "pre-evolution", as she puts it, she would spend quite a lot of time wandering the route leading to Sinnoh's Victory Road, and made a fair number of friends doing so. As she aged, however, a growing sense of adventure and a desire to make music of her own led to her to pick up a guitar for the first time, and mimicking the musical style of Sunyshore itself, she began to play. To say that her aptitude for music was matched only by her skill in combat is- while still mostly correct- vastly understating both of those aspects. By the time she was fourteen years of age, she'd claimed three badges of her own and had written an entire album, which she then spent the next two years garnering attention and subsequently a bit of fame as she shifted her focus from the League to her more musical outlets. It was during these two years that she gave name to her 'band': Sinn Unto Stone, incorporating both her last name as well as her growing love for Rock-type Pokemon as a whole. [break][break]
When she traveled to Lyeant shortly before the Incident, it was for the last leg of a tour she had set up, one that lasted the better part of her sixteenth year. Shortly after the ending of her show, the world itself seemed to come to an end around her, and she was eager to provide any aid she could in order to fend off Team Imum. While she herself lost dear friends in the ensuing battles, she found a loyalty and bond to Lyeant and the region's people she hadn't truly experienced elsewhere, and thus decided to make the region her home for the foreseeable future. [break][break]
Now the Rock-Type Gym Leader of Lyeant's Pokemon League, and facing the possibility of civil war looming on the horizon, Rebecca seeks for a peaceful solution to the problems that plague her new home. Though should push come to shove... [break][break] ...well. Gym Leaders aren't chosen because they're cute.

A being perfectly content laying around and sleeping in a meadow all day, it's a true wonder that Dex is a battler at all. He's a gentle soul, and fairly unwilling to truly deal lasting harm to any creature. He also happens to be the hardest of the six to bring down.

Amara
AURORUS #699
Amara is a female pokemon. its ability is Refrigerate. it seems to have a Rash nature. [break][break]
The newest addition to the party, and thus the Rookie. Amara seems determined to prove herself to the other five, which often causes her to be rather rash. She means well, but has trouble getting her actions to show that.
She's probably crazy, but you'll probably like her. If you can handle puns, she'll show you the door, but she doesn't particularly make enemies. Rivals, definitely, but it's hard for her to hate someone. Give it a shot, if you think you can handle the heat.

>>> FRIENDSHIP
Rebecca is, like much of her Pokemon, a kind soul. She truly wishes to see Lyeant returned to its former glory, and is willing to do quite a bit in order to help the Association in that goal. She makes friends easily, either because she generally enjoys helping people or because she managed to reflexively flirt her way into their good graces.
PLOT IDEA #1 As a gym leader, it's easier than all get out to just set up a battle for her, though that may result in undue punishment both ways. She's generally rather approachable, and due to her oft random nature it's rather well within limits to assume she could probably show up anywhere at anytime. Though Republic territory is a bit of a no, unless she can be promised she won't get mugged or worse.
>>> HATESHIP
You ask the girl who flirts on instinct how to get on her bad side? Cross her or her Pokemon. She cares for her party as though they were family, and considering she's a Gijinka they may as well be. She'll harbor no ill will towards you, but rest assured getting on this Flareon's bad side will end up in someone getting thrown into a veritable sun at some point. [break][break]
>>> LOVESHIP
Love is one area that Rebecca and her reflexive flirting, painful though it may be to watch, absolutely excel at. Her consistence in always doing something random at some point means you have to be on your toes, and if you can deal with Amara sneaking phrases into your mind every so often as a sort of nudge (if you managed to get the Rookie on your side), then you're going to be pretty heavily set for potentially life. Keep in mind, though, Rebecca's not new to the song and dance of love.
PLOT IDEA #1 Love happens in mysterious ways. Depending on who your character is, the situation in which they'd be meeting and how things could go may change drastically, so I'm not gonna throw too much here. Feel to message me on Discord or here on the site if you want to start turning up the heat with a Gym Leader though.
