TWO YEARS AGO, A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION GOING BY THE NAME TEAM IMUM WRECKED CHAOS ACROSS THE LAND, DAMAGING CITIES AND KILLING THOUSANDS OF CITIZENS. While Imum itself has long since been disbanded, however, the region remains broken: entire towns have been laid to waste and the Association struggles to find homes for those who were lucky enough to survive the attempted genocide. Reconstruction trudges on as usual... but with three factions - the Association, the corporations, and the people - each wishing to take the rebuilding of an entire region down opposite paths, how long will it be before Lyeant's last leg gives out permanently?

Care to hear about our lord and savior Operation: Mindcrime? In all seriousness: Hello, hello! I'm Pharaoh Leap – or just Leap – local head admin and rock opera enthusiast. On the rare chance you catch me in a time when I'm not bawling about characters entirely written into song, you may see me actually doing work around the site, like skinning, making too many characters, and encouraging others to also make too many characters. I only know how to write angst, and in no fewer than six trillion words an app or post, so if you like dying while reading like I like dying while writing, I'm the girl for you. ;o
Howdy guys! The names Astro and I am your resident Brit & Red muse (you'll honestly see me more on him than any of my other characters). I'm a moderator and my main job is to make sure everything is running smoothly so the Admins can focus on other things, you'll often see me within the apps and shops, etc when I'm not on Red. What can I say about myself? Apart from being a Red fanboy I like music and games and yaoi huehue, I honestly never now what to put into these sort of things but ohwell, I'm more of a "ask me and I'll tell" sorta guy. Anyway, from my personally I hope that you enjoy the site and what we produce here but also if you're new, please look around and if you like what you see please consider joining for rad plots that everyone gives! :D
Hey there~ Nano over here! I uh.. Wait, I'm doing this right, right? Bleh. So I'm a moderator over here - fun, fun - who kind of just.. Keeps an eye on everyone. You know, the whole app thing and what not. Uh.. Lets see.. When I'm not doing school work (because I may or may not be trying to be a good student) I'm probably storming up new ideas like events and etc. Or plots. Plots are always good, too. As you can see, I uh.. Have the horrible habit of making way too many characters. I swear, I was tempted with plots, ships and angst. It's like, the holy trinity. Uh.. What else is there about me? Oh, right! Please excuse my obnoxiousness. I'm just really loud in general so don't be surprised if I start screaming as loudly as I can caps. So yeah. Nice meeting you!

you play with the wolf
Irisia was a nice place. Splendid, really. Maybe it was odd for Lacie to think that—she was a Fire-type Gijinka in a city known for its utilization of water. But no, she reveled in its beauty! If she met anyone she'd become acquainted to, she'd definitely recommend it to them. Yes, Irisia truly was the epitome of Eden.
...Okay, okay, she only really liked it for two reasons: It was full of rich people, and, so far, she hadn't been told off for testing her pyrotechnics.
She hadn't given the enforcement any reason to go after her yet. All the fireworks she'd tested thus far worked flawlessly; if anything, she spruced up the place to the surface residents and newcomers by creating displays that invoked excitement and marvel. Though she desired recognition (especially in the form of money), she was content just being able to practice her trade without interruption.
As she set up her latest test run—one of the more complex fireworks she'd put together—she noted the occasional stares people gave her. There weren't really many, as Lacie cleverly placed herself in a lesser populated area. Aside from the people strolling nearby, there weren't really any hazards as far as she could tell. Plus, the lack of an unwitting audience allowed her to concentrate on her work.
Once prepared, the young fox stepped back and pulled out a match. She drew both hands close and bent over, covertly lighting the match with a small flame she manifested on her finger. Once she dispersed the fire, she quickly glanced around, making sure no one had grown close enough that they could potentially be harmed. Confirming she was in the clear, she kneeled toward the ground and lit the string. Now all that was left was the countdown—an unnecessary act, but still fun for her to do. "Five... Four... Three... Two— SHIT—" The pyrotechnic launched prematurely, travelling parallel to the ground in a zig-zag motion, right toward...a hapless passerby. "Oi, look out!" she cried out, hoping that just maybe they'd be able to dodge at the last second. And if not...

sing, fiery night;
Her appearance was that of a human's. No distinctive marks or features that would make people think otherwise. No one would be able to easily guess she was an abomination, the offspring of a Gijinka and human. She was never told the full details, but from what she vaguely recalls, her human father had fallen for her Delphox Gijinka mother, whose race also was covert. He had no issue with her "true" self and wed her whilst upholding her secret.[break][break]
As a girl, she was told she loved to eat twigs—a trait common amongst her ilk—and breathe small flames from her mouth. She wasn't allowed to leave the house until she was old enough to understand why the things she did was bad. In verbatim, "People don't like fire-breathing, stick-eating girls". The language was simplistic enough for her to comprehend its meaning and agree without questioning why.[break][break]
Though her lifestyle was fairly laid-back, her parents were far from affluent. They always fretted about money and had difficulty holding jobs for reasons that almost always weren't their faults. Through them, she learned to value money. This principle contorted over time, turning the young girl into an avaricious being who believed money was a necessity to be happy.[break][break]
dance, fiery night;
When the girl became 11, she declared to her folks that she was going to go find and catch a Pokémon of her own and begin adventuring around the Kalos region. Though alarmed by this sudden announcement, they agreed and offered some assistance. They located a space isolated from society, where she could battle a wild Pokémon using her own innate ability in order to weaken it. Her choice? A mere Scatterbug, who was obviously quite easy to subdue. It took only one Poké Ball to make it hers.[break][break]
Content with her first find, the girl set off, her parents once again warning her about using her abilities in public. She had since been told in full why it was taboo; thus, she knew to practice caution. At first, she found the feat effortless. Her Scatterbug, despite its size, was quite potent in battle and quickly evolved into a regal purple Vivillon. It didn't take long for the adolescent to realize something was...off about her. She was drawn to fire and seemed to giggle every time her Powder blew some hapless Pokémon up. But she was loyal and obedient to her Trainer, so she wasn't particularly concerned.[break][break]
be festive, fiery night;
She took over two years to explore the majority of her home region, catching and training Pokémon to the point where they'd be able to dominate many a Trainer in a battle. After all, she desired the prize money presented to the victorious. Her own innate ability also had evolved: Utilizing a sturdy branch (she'd later use a hiking stick), she could ignite the tip just by dragging it across her hair. Its fluffiness and density were similar to that of any regular Braixen's fur, and it wouldn't be set alight in the process. She also was able to breathe larger, hotter flames, though at the cost of needing to munch on twigs to replenish her energy.[break][break]
With great power came a burning desire to make more use of it. Though human fire-breathers weren't an uncommon occurrence in Kalos, she didn't want to be known as some suspicious carny. Fortunately, it didn't take long for her to find a potential career befitting both her interests and abilities. The idea sparked during a celebration in Lumiose. As she gazed at the night sky, the organizers set off fireworks. Mesmerized by the display, she realized she could potentially make a living as a pyrotechnician. After all, what better way to utilize her flames than setting off artificial stars?[break][break]
It'd take a few years longer before she finally set her sights on learning the trade. For now, she focused on honing her technique as a Trainer so she could win more battles and make even more money. Knowing full well she couldn't improve by remaining in Kalos, she used some of her earnings to buy a ticket to the Johto region. She ventured across its grounds, training and battling Trainers galore—even catching some Pokémon along the way. Eventually, she crossed Tohjo Falls to get into the Kanto region, where she repeated her actions. Once done exploring it, she boarded another boat to Ula'ula Island in Alola.[break][break]
make merry, fiery night;
By the time her travel across the island came to an end, she'd become an adult. Feeling she was now ready to learn pyrotechnics, she boarded a ferry to Akala Island. She lodged in a cheap hotel in Konikoni and purchased the necessary materials to get started. Frequent trips to Wela Volcano Park were made, as it made an ideal location for practice. Expectedly, many of her first attempts were flops, with the pyrotechnic either blowing up in her face (or a short distance away if it didn't immediately explode) or simply ended up as duds.[break][break]
She improved over time, eventually reaching the point where most of her attempts ended in success. Though still far from being an expert pyrotechnician, she was able to make simple fireworks and explosives. Unfortunately, the natives didn't take too well to her creating constant detonations and disturbing the wildlife, so she was asked to either stop or leave. Figuring she had no reason to remain in Alola any longer, she once more got aboard a ship and set sail for Lyeant. A few days into her stay, she became up-to-date with the current tension amongst the different factions. She took particular interest in Parallax—it seemed to be filled with the richest citizens, after all. With her ability to easily blend in, she'd no reason to fear anyone finding out about her hidden traits and thus allied herself with the faction.
there is nothing left to take, but i still try to reach. try to swallow it all down, yet i can't seem to breathe. just a single pill of mine, nothing else would suffice - i take it in, now i'm alive. my phone is set on lock, and i don't really care. there's a tangle and a knot that i cannot repair. i'm a tragedy, i'm ugly, i'm trying to hide. i say "hello", then wave "goodbye". see me fall down - let me die here slowly. nothing goes right, not a trace of honestly. i'm to blame, so i'll remain. black, white; day, night; it's all the same. see it run down - cut away, no worries. say no more. i can surely say that i've had enough. i still refuse to believe.

PLOT IDEA #1 every day would be the same. nothing more, little change. if i cared, it would mean nothing: it's all such a pain. friendly bonds are so unneeded, i don't give a dang. a busy life is what i am. could it be that family was a way of escape? didn't know if it was right, so i threw them away. couldn't take it anymore, i had taken enough, so then i hide my need for love.[break][break]
PLOT IDEA #2 lay me right down, let me sleep, i'm restless. cover my eyes. when i'm up, i'll finally fade away, here, today. give me a reason: then i'll stay. if i could fly, if for only a moment, there wouldn't be such a need for casualty. i'm alone, and that is how it'll be.

Oh man, I can totally see these two getting along like wildfire. Also, no worries, I'm bad at plotting, too o/
I am in love with the fireworks idea! Especially the "someone's clothes catches fire" part, 'cause that sounds super duper fun 8Db Lacey might be slightly jealous if Victoria manages to create bigger, "better" fireworks, but hey. Just motivates her to get even better at what she does! Heck, she might even request Victoria as her mentor—but only if she's down for that, of course. As for the wealthy thing, Lacey has more of an issue with better off people who withhold money or use it for selfish reasons. She's still likely to be wary toward Victoria should she find out she's rich, but once she learns she's not as stingy, then she shouldn't have much of an issue with her! Particularly if her fellow legendary is generous enough to give her cash...I mean.

Friendship[frend-ship]
Noun. A friendly relation or intimacy.
[attr="class","scroll-light"]
They say money can't buy you friends. Well, it could in Lacey's case...provided the offer is high enough for her tastes. (And it costs a lot to make her someone's friend.) Fortunately, Lacey isn't so money-minded that it's a requirement to be her friend; she'll gladly warm up to those who share her interests, especially if it involves pyrotechnics. As their friend, the mythical Pokémon won't try and weasel them out of their money too often and will be pretty affectionate toward them. She also won't break off friendships in exchange for a large sum of cash. ...Probably. As for her legendary status? Lacey doesn't exactly hide it; her tagline is, "Donations are the best form of gratitude!" That being said, she won't outright admit to being Shaymin if asked—not unless the other person is a legendary much like herself, is a close enough friend, or pays her enough.
Hatred[hey-trid]
Noun. Intense dislike or extreme aversion.
[attr="class","scroll-light"]
If giving Lacey enough money earns someone her friendship, not giving her any could possibly make someone her enemy. She doesn't take kindly to misers and rich people. Especially rich people. The young woman has found that practically every affluent person she's encountered won't give her a single buck despite being so well-off. Anyone who wrongs her—or so she claims, anyway—will find it difficult to make amends with her. (That being said, she isn't against working for them should they pay her for her services.) Lacey also dislikes anyone who judges her simply for being a part of Parallax—she sided with them primarily for the money, after all!—and anyone who does know she's Shaymin and threatens to use it against her.
Romance[roh-mans]
Noun. A romantic affair or experience.
[attr="class","scroll-light"]
When it comes to romance, Lacey is somewhat pure—unsurprising considering that she was a mythical Pokémon up until recently. If someone shows even the slightest bit of attraction toward her, particularly in the form of flirting, she'll get flustered and sputter. And probably flirt back, for that matter. She knows she digs her own grave when she does this; alas, it doesn't stop her. She's quick to accept date offers, and will seldom be the one to end the relationship. The mythical Pokémon desires a long-term partner; however, almost all of her relationships ended because she continued sleeping with others for moolah. Should Lacey find someone who can look past her love of money, they will find she'll love them more than cash and be absolutely devoted to them. Oh, and they'll probably find out about her being a Pokémon and all. Maybe. Most likely; like her Pokémon form flowers will bloom on her head if the person gives her a loving, gratitude-filled hug.
and so, the two of us meet by chance,[break]carrying red, bright red, large flowers

what are you grateful for?;
When someone does something kind to you, do you express your gratitude? When something goes your way unexpectedly, would you say you are grateful? Those who express feelings of gratitude are likely while near the Flower Paradise are likely to attract Shaymin. If the person lacks in gratitude, a strong enough wish will do. Such a wish came from a young woman, who specifically sought out the small Pokémon, hoping it would help fight Giratina. The Shaymin agreed, and sure enough took part in a great battle within Giratina's realm, the Distortion World. By the gratitude displayed by a once-corrupt man, the mythical Pokémon changed forms and fought the shadowy dragon alongside others. Once Giratina fell, Shaymin chose to stay with the aforementioned woman—at least for a while, anyway.[break]
gratitude comes in all forms;
During its travels with the woman, Shaymin learned of the different kinds of gratitude in the world. Most were genuine and from the heart, the kind it was most familiar with. Then there was gratitude that reeked of corruption and greed, gratitude that had a price attached. It was this form of gratitude which the Pokémon was most attracted to, intrigued by how different it was from the gratitude it knew. Eventually, the Shaymin's desire to learn more about this "tainted" gratitude had strong enough that it could no longer remain by the woman's side. It wished to explore the world on its own.[break]
i'm grateful for this body;
Sometime while exploring on its own, Shaymin came across a rumor that legendary Pokémon had begun to take on human forms, finding and claiming a vessel for them to reside in. The Pokémon selected what it saw as the best possible vessel—a woman on the brink of death, her last wish to stay alive. Once her body was taken over, the Shaymin was overwhelmed by the gratitude expressed by the woman. While she certainly no longer had control over her actions, just the fact that she was alive was enough for her to feel grateful toward the Pokémon. Shaymin sensed her decision to remain dormant and let it do whatever it pleased.[break]
wanna show gratitude? then give me money!;
Not surprisingly, Shaymin became something of a money lover, desiring a donation (especially a monetary one) if someone felt gratitude toward it. The Pokémon also took interest in pyrotechnics, oddly enough; if asked, it'll claim it was attracted to how flower-like and nostalgic fireworks are. Since Shaymin sought gratitude, it hardly stayed in one place for very long, traveling to different regions and lending a hand (for a price, of course!) before eventually winding up in Lyeant. Once there, it was attracted to the gratitude people felt toward Parallax's efforts to make the region safer—not to mention how money-minded some of its members were! Seeing a grand opportunity to make a fortune, the Shaymin decided to side with the organization. Of course, should it find that one of the other two factions has more to offer (i.e., more money can be made), it is highly likely the Pokémon will change sides in a heartbeat.
